President Obama has admitted, “I screwed up,” in his reference to selecting Tom Daschle, Nancy Killefer,  and Bill Richardson, to key government positions.  How Tim Geithner squeaked by is beyond me.

“It’s important for this administration to send a message that there aren’t two sets of rules — you know, one for prominent people and one for ordinary folks who have to pay their taxes,” Obama said. Earlier in the day, Obama had proclaimed he was “absolutely” sticking with Daschle for Health and Human Services Secretary.-CNN

Only days on the job, and already he admits he screwed up?  Maybe the voters screwed up.  Certainly from someone with an advanced degree from Harvard, he could have chose to say I made a mistake instead of saying screwed.

In another fine example of failure to vett potential nominees, we are again witness to people whose backgrounds reveal that they are deceitful, not unintentional oversights.   A person selected to oversee the implementation of policy should have impeccable credentials, just like Obama who has explained and dismissed any questionable relationship he has ever had with Ayers, Rezko, Kahlidi, Odinga, Rev. Wright Wrong, ACORN, etc. http://www.fightthesmears.com/

Obama has come out smelling like a rose en route the The Presidency even though his own vetting left a lot to be desired.  No one still has seen his official birth certificate even after numerous lawsuits by Berg, Donofrio and others.  Obama’s selective service documents are out of alignment with the truth. Where is his report card and transcripts?  Really, why would the American voters expect the vetting of his selections to be any different than Obama’s own vetting?

President Obama warned Republicans recently on Capitol Hill that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.   “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” he said to the GOP leaders whom he himself had invited to the White House to discuss his trillion dollar stimulus.  The funny thing is, I know more about Rush Limbaugh’s success and failures than Obama’s.  Too bad for Joe the Plumber who got a full vetting in public.

Are we supposed to believe in all those government agencies working together to prevent terrorism when we have a leader who’s team can’t even vett or nominate someone without tax problems?  If the Obama government is trying to adjust the market’s allocation of wealth and opportunity it should start by selecting acceptable candidates and properly vetting them.  Perhaps he should take his own advice to heart and ask his wife when he said in an interview for of all places, The Ladies Home Journal, “I would never make a big decision without asking her opinion.”

The millions of Obama trolls must be saddened to know he owned up to a mistake.  Obama’s political e-mail list tops 13 million names, a digital force that he can rely on to push for his legislations, hinder critics, or seek support.  ” That power gives Obama’s on line advisers a potentially bigger role than many of his Cabinet picks and major hires in pushing through an agenda.   A Cabinet secretary stumping for a new bill has been rendered less powerful than a million e-mails crashing the Capitol; a visit to the Hill from top aides is unmatched to on line petitions that clog legislative offices.” http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obamas-online-trolls-to-keep-at-it.  The good thing for Obama is he doesn’t have to vett 13 million names.

The little thorns on the stem of the rose that smelled like sweet victory got him elected in the first place will keep pricking and poking away at his selections and his plans-those little thorns are called Republicans. As Obama so eloquently pointed out when people disagree with his policy, he said arrogantly, “I Won,” when challenged by republican Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl of Arizona over the contents of the stimulus package.

You sure did win President Obama, now stop screwing up our land of hope and change.

The last political figure to admit, “I screwed up,” was John McCain telling David Letterman when he canceled a “Late Show” appearance.

We all know what happened to McCain.

Close enough, but no cigar with regards to President Obama taking the Oath of Office as the 44th President.

The Constitution requires:  “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”   The Constitution requires that he is a natural born citizen as well, but the jury is still out on that one .

With less than five minutes into Obama’s Presidency, the first flub of the Constitution began with Chief Justice John Roberts saying the oath incorrectly.  Obama caught it and gave Roberts a moment to recover but still did not do it right.

The oath includes the phrase “That I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States” but Roberts didn’t say “faithfully” until after saying “president of the United States.”  http://www.nypost.com/seven/01202009/news/politics/roberts_flubs_swearing_in_oath_151047.htm

They are simple words and yet on this most historic of days, already our Constitution is thrown side for a statement that is close enough.  I thought close enough only counted in the game of horse-shoes.

“I, Barack Hussein Obama,” totally jumped the gun and cut off Chief Justice Roberts before he had completed the line.  It didn’t help when he called Obama as “Senator”.   When the noon is passed, the President-elect automatically becomes President without taking oath.   Calling him Senator was only the first mistake.

See the video of the swearing in of Obama at- http://blog.coincidencetheories.com/?p=962 .  The text can be found at http://blogs.abcnews.com/theworldnewser/2009/01/the-inuagural-o.html

In post news analysis, Fox News noted that Obama may have not completed the oath as required by the Constitution but more than likely, Justice Roberts would throw out any case against him.  I can’t wait to hear what Rush Limbaugh has to say since last weeks commentary, “”I’ve been listening to Barack Obama for a year-and-a-half. I know what his politics are. I know what his plans are, as he has stated them. I don’t want them to succeed,” he said. http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5hxpMXOB6U__wIxx8Cub3uWAR6kPg

Obama and Roberts are, after all, becoming close associates, only last week Obama got a tour of the Supreme Court in a closed session.  Lingering court cases regarding Obama’s citizenship have been shuffling around the Supreme Court for months.  All have been denied or denied without judgment, so far.   https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/01/14/obama-meets-with-supreme-court-justices/  I find it an insult to justice and pretty stinking crappy that a judge would meet behind closed door with a defendant in a lawsuit- even if that man would be Obama.

Wasting no time,  http://www.whitehouse.gov/ the White House’s main web page is all Obama.  http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/presidents/georgewbush/ President George Bush has been relegated to the list of  previous presidents.  From the site, “The Bush family also includes two dogs, Barney and Miss Beazley, and a cat, Willie.”  Surely it must have pissed of President William Clinton, aka Slick Willie, to have had a cat named after him living in the White House.

The amusing footnote in history is noted, let’s  move on.

Since the Main Street Media is so stuck on the fact that a black man has been elected and sworn in at President, I thought I’d take a moment to remind readers that President Barack Hussein Obama, is half white.   Whatever his skin color, I pray he leads us toward safety and prosperity, preferably without our having to pay more taxes and redistributing what little bit of wealth we have left.

God Bless America

Absolutely freaking amazing.  People have found a way to conclude that the current cold affecting most of America is due to global warming.   It is Winter, idiots.  Contrary to fact that global temperatures have been steadily cooling since the 1940’s, environmentalists have created a whole industry centered around the lie that mankind has some influence on weather.

As far as what has been reported to the public, we humans have no way to decrease or increase the planet’s temperature.  Barely a footnote in the media,  is all the research that has been underway for years to, in fact- change the weather.

“The US and Russia have developed capabilities to manipulate the climate for military use. Environmental modification techniques have been applied by the US military for more than half a century. US mathematician John von Neumann, in liaison with the US Department of Defense, started his research on weather modification in the late 1940s at the height of the Cold War and foresaw ‘forms of climatic warfare as yet unimagined’.http://ppjg.wordpress.com/2008/03/04/haarpintentional-weather-manipulations/

I find it much more likely indeed that, “The US military has developed advanced capabilities that enable it selectively to alter weather patterns. The technology, which is being perfected under the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP), is an appendage of the Strategic Defense Initiative ‘Star Wars’. ”

Established in 1992, HAARP, based in Gokona, Alaska, is an array of high-powered antennas that transmit, through high-frequency radio waves, massive amounts of energy into the ionosphere (the upper layer of the atmosphere). Their construction was funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).  Operated jointly by the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Office of Naval Research, HAARP constitutes a system of powerful antennas capable of creating ‘controlled local modifications of the ionosphere’. According to  its official website, http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/  There is also an interesting link to an article on Weather Warfare by Michel Chossudovsky, The Ecologist, December 2007  that merits a glance at http://globalresearch.ca/articles/haarpecologist.pdf.

While we expect Sarah Palin’s Alaska to be cold http://www.mountainweather.com/alaska.htm  “Extreme temperatures — in Johnson’s case about 60 below zero — call for extreme measures in a statewide cold snap so frigid that temperatures have grounded planes, disabled cars, frozen water pipes and even canceled several championship cross country ski races.  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090108/ap_on_re_us/alaska_extreme_cold

We’ve seen snow in Las Vegas and even in Hawaii this Winter.  The odds makers must be realigning statistics that it will happen again based on reports from the National Climatic Data Center.  This will be America’s coldest year since 1997, thanks to La Niña and precipitation in the central and eastern states.   Throw in the Sun’s Solar quiet and we see another reason for global cooling- not global warming. Sunspots and solar radiation are approaching  the minimum in the Sun’s cycle, corresponding with lower Earth temperatures.  National Snow and Ice Data Center has found that the extent of Artic sea ice has  expanded by 13.2 percent over last year.  This 270,000 sq mile  growth in Arctic sea ice is just slightly larger than Texas’s 268,820 square miles. http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NGYzMzA2MzEzZTI4YjAxOTZhMGY4N2YwOTVmZWIzOTg=

Yet , we have our next President- Obama -about to spend millions of our tax dollars to inhibit climate change.  “Few challenges facing America – and the world – are more urgent than combating climate change. The science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear…  said Obama at http://change.gov/newsroom/entry/president_elect_obama_promises_new_chapter_on_climate_change/  Maligned facts got us into the Iraq war and choosing to believe these facts as truth, is equally reprehensible.

One small bright spot in this political climate of change is that Al Gore will not have an official part in the next administration.   Gore, who won the Nobel Peace Prize for climate change is among the nation’s worst energy hogs. Al’s carbon footprint was twenty times that of the average American household http://tennesseepolicy.org/main/article.php?article_id=764

Obama does not fair any better at preserving climate change with his inauguration, The Institute for Liberty has created a carbon footprint estimate for the Obama inauguration itself and estimates more than 500 million pounds of CO2 will be released during the four-day inaugural but goes farther to say that study isn’t entirely accurate. “We haven’t looked at the methane or CO2 that will be expended by people standing on the mall.”

The Institute goes on to say, ” they should not have to be lectured — or regulated or taxed — by officials who appear, at best, to conveniently forget their own rhetoric when celebrating their success.”  http://thechillingeffect.org/wp-content/themes/paalam-11/CarbonBigfoot.pdf.  Um- no one should be lectured, taxed or regulated by the government into buying deadly mercury filled light bulbs or any other product that supports a greener world- unless of course they want to.

Who knew the amount of  hot air coming from Obama supporters on the Mall in D.C for the inauguration, could in fact, be precipitous to altering the climate.  Political climate yes, weather climate?

I am ROFLMFAO, farting, freezing, watching the snow fly with my old fashioned, mercury free light bulbs on.  Oh yeah, I am burning through the BTU’s with the furnace on too.

Change you can believe in?

H. J. Res. 5 http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=hj111-5  is a proposed amendment to repeal the term limits for presidents and introduced Jan.6, 2009 by Democrat Serrano.    http://serrano.house.gov/Biography.aspx  U.S. Representative José E. Serrano represents the 16th Congressional District of New York – the Bronx.  He is the only Congressman from New York City on the exclusive House Appropriations Committee and is serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government.

From his bio, “Serrano believes that government should work to ensure that the prosperity of our country is shared by the neediest and most vulnerable members of our society- the poor, the elderly, the disabled, and children- in the form of participation in government, educational opportunities, access to housing and affordable health care. ”

Golly Gee, sounds just like socialistic rhetoric from Obama.   More participation in government?  Howza bout enforcing laws on the books?  Laws that would have alleviated the disastrous economic declines of Freddie, Fannie, etc.?  Laws that were already in place to prevent the Madoff ponzi?  Laws that discourage capitalism and instead form a reliance on the government to solve the individual woes?  Honest effort and pride in accomplishment used to be a winning formula.

At a time in this country when we have an incoming president who has faulted the Constitution more than once,  here we have an elected official with a significant amount of clout introducing on the first day of Congress a bill to change our Constitution and allow for a President to serve pretty much without time limits, “Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.”

He also introduced a total of 16 other Resolutions – http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/R?d111:FLD003:@1(rep%20serrano): from ending the trade embargo with Cuba, allowing Cuban baseball players waivers to play professional baseball in the US, to changes title XIX of the Social Security Act, to something he coins as the “English Plus Resolution”-H.CON.RES.3   English Plus has emerged as the main policy alternative and rallying cry for those opposed to the English Only campaign. http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JWCRAWFORD/engplus.htm Back in 2001, Serrano introduced HCON 9 IH, http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JWCRAWFORD/HCR9.htm s similar measure that would seemingly mandate a foreign language.  It was not passed.

“English Plus” resolutions have been passed in the U.S. states of New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington.  Ironically, English Plus has not been passed in the Congressman’s home state of New York.  I wonder what language would be proposed?  Arabic? Mandarin?  Any of the countries who might be perceived as a military threat?

For heaven’s sake if he wants to remove a language barrier, how about starting with educating the military.  Imagine these poor soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq who were never trained in a fundamental intelligence operation like being able to speak the enemy language.  “I surrender, What? What did you say? Oh, you’ve got a gun, bang.”

We have American combat troops stationed right here on our soil, and I am pretty happy that they speak English and able to defend us.  In fact, I wish there were more protecting our borders.

The leader of the free world, President Obama clearly views the Constitution as an obstacle to “political and economic justice in this society.”   The Constitution has served Mr. Obama well, and rather conveniently somehow allowed him to avoid providing proof that he meets the requirements of the natural-born citizen clause, Article II, Section 1, for eligibility as President.   Every case to date and under the interpreted laws of the land, all the way up to the Supreme Court, he has avoided providing any documentation of his birth.

The Constitution and law has been circumnavigated more than once by Presidents.  Minuscule on the scale are little Orders like-” All executive branch departments and agencies of the Federal Government shall be closed and their employees excused from duty on Friday, December 26, 2008, the day after Christmas Day”  http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2008/12/20081212-2.html to some pretty hefty changes in a Presidents authority can be found here  http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/orders/.  I wonder if our tax dollars paid them for the day off?

In tracking the Obama Presidency, apparently BHO is going to repeal some of them including an attempt to close Gitmo.  http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2009/01/61265288/1

We had all better become better informed as to what our elected officials are doing, what laws they are proposing, and what laws they choose to enforce.  We can’t rely on MSM and let’s face it, often times watching C-SPAN is like watching paint dry.  Whatever language we speak, everyone here in America, even the illegals get certain rights afforded to them. It is everyones right, privilege and obligation to see that things aren’t just snuck through the cracks when it becomes convenient.

The Constitution was designed for America.  It is your Constitution-  our Constitution, yet today multilateral institutions like the World Bank and International Monetary Fund are privatizing economies and restructuring the social policies of  the world- including America and certainly influencing our Constitutional law.

Our Constitution should not be bent or amended so much so, that we are lost in the New World Order we hear so often about.  Our Constitution should not be amended to allow for a President to serve indefinitely, even if he is “The One,” his campaign promise stood on.

Press 1 for English, press 2…..

God Bless America.

Russian Sub Put Together Like Humpty Dumpty

Over 20 people have been killed after a firefighting system went off during sea trials on board the Nerpa, a nuclear submarine in Russia’s Pacific Fleet. The sub was on a test run in the Sea of Japan with 208 people aboard 81 of whom were servicemen. Submariners and ship builders were killed, the AP reports.

It appears that Russia was leasing Akula II class boats to India recently and I believe it might be this one http://en.rian.ru/russia/20081027/117976941.html provided by the Russian News Agency, RAI Novosti.

“The construction of the Akula II class Nerpa nuclear attack submarine started in 1991 but has been suspended for over a decade due to lack of funding. Akula II class vessels are considered the quietest and deadliest of Russian nuclear-powered attack submarines. The submarine, built under a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry, has been moved from the shipyard in Komsomolsk-on-Amur to a maintenance facility in the Primorye Territory and fitted with all necessary equipment. At present it is undergoing sea trials,” a spokesman for the shipyard told RIA Novosti. Indian media have reported on various occasions that the construction of the submarine was partially financed by the Indian government. India has reportedly paid $650 million for a 10-year lease of the 12,000-ton submarine.  Nerpa is expected to join the Indian navy under the designation INS Chakra in the second half of 2009.”

Construction on this hunk of steel was halted for 16 years for lack of funding and then put back together again like Humpty Dumpty.  http://en.rian.ru/russia/20081027/117976941.html  I am reminded of, why did the Kursk sink? http://www.wps.ru/en/pp/kursk/2002/03/19/1.html The three torpedoes aboard the Kursk had a storage time of which, at the depot had elapsed and detonated early.  Sound Familiar?

In 2003, eleven people died on a Russian sub being taken out of service sank in the Barents Sea. Even with this new failure, Russia has seen success. From SEVEROMORSK, October 11 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian submarine has for the first time test launched the Sineva ballistic missile to its maximum range from the Barents Sea to an equatorial part of the Pacific Ocean.  The exercise drills involved more than 5,000 military personnel, eight surface ships and five submarines.  “The RSM-54 Sineva (NATO designation SS-N-23 Skiff) is a third-generation liquid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile that entered service with the Russian Navy in July 2007. It has a maximum range of 8,300 km (5,200 miles) and can carry four or 10 nuclear warheads. http://en.rian.ru/russia/20081011/117682147.html

This serious naval accident and other SNAFUs like this, only remind us how unstable nuclear warhead missiles are in the hands of the Russians.  Had the explosion resulted in the launch of a nuclear torpedo, millions of people could be dead, accidentally.   This “mishap” comes as Russia is trying to restore it’s reputation and demonstrate it’s over all military prowess while Americans have elected a President Obama who projects a decrease in military spending.  https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2008/10/22/obama-demilitarizes-while-russia-modernizes-missiles/

Russia has been holding joint naval exercises with close U.S. neighbor Venezuela, snubbing America’s Monroe Doctrine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monroe_Doctrine  that was used symbolically when the Soviet Union began building missile launch sites in Cuba.

“Russia displayed its military strength in the Mediterranean yesterday after warships heading to Venezuela passed through the Strait of Gibraltar in the second deployment of Russian naval vessels in the waterway since the Cold War. The nuclear-powered missile cruiser Peter the Great, accompanied by the Admiral Chabanenko, an anti-submarine destroyer, as well as a reconnaissance vessel and a support ship, are destined for a maritime exercise with the Venezuelan navy.” Russia has also moved to intensify contacts with Venezuela, Cuba and other Latin American countries and has signed weapons contracts worth more than $4 billion with Venezuela since 2005 to supply fighter jets, helicopters and 100,000 Kalashnikov AK47 assault rifles. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article4887728.ece

http://www.mnweekly.ru/news/20080926/55348681.html Moscow News outlines Russia’s display of its naval might at America’s doorstep, but notes that the ” Russian Navy’s state will not improve as a result of Moscow’s modified policies. Hopefully, the government will soon start restoring and rearming the Navy because any show of strength will otherwise prove ineffective.”

No one will accuse President Obama of overbearing American supremacy while he reduces America’s might and increases his proposed “civilian national security force.”  Obama pledged: “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”  Obama’s selection of Emanuel, in his book, The Plan: Big Ideas for America, sketches out the same idea on how to “fight against the spread of evil and totalitarianism.” … by expanding the U.S. army by 100,000 more troops,” Emanuel suggests “we must protect our homeland and civil liberties by creating a new domestic counter terrorism force like Britain’s MI5.”

Charles Rangel’s National Service Act,   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_National_Service_Act which is languishing before Congress, provides for a universal draft with two years of service for virtually all persons aged 18-42, with no deferment for college. The purpose of Rangel’s bill is seems to reflect Obama’s desires:

“To require all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security . . . .”

Civilian service described in the bill (sec 102(b)):

a civilian capacity that, as determined by the President, promotes the national defense, including national or community service and service related to homeland security.

In more anti-military, environmental whacko, tree hugging jurisprudence, comes this article from http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=284688883235757 ,  A federal court has restricted the Navy’s use of sonar to defend America. Never mind that missiles fired from enemy submarines will harm the environment more than the sonar used to detect them. The Chinese are adding 2.5 new subs each year to their fleet, and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld says the Chinese may have more subs than we do within a decade.

In the National 3:00 am call that we heard about from Hillary Clinton and others during the pre-election banter, comes this portrayal from the Department of Defense:

“This is the National Military Command Center.  We have detected the launches of two ballistic missiles out of Iran with projected impact in New York in less than 25 minutes.  Iranian President says he did not order this, it was done by a small radical group which explains our very limited indications and warning.  Iranian strategic and regional missile forces have now been ordered to full alert in anticipation of U.S. retaliation.  We have notified state and local authorities and are notifying allied governments.

Mr. President, what are your instructions?”

Obama has about two months to get up to speed for his “on the job training” to comprehend the full range of capabilities deployed by the United States. Barring any unforeseen challenges to his citizenship from Berg vs Obama or Martin vs the State of Hawaii, he will take office on January 20 and faces enormous security challenges here and abroad.  Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell gave the President-elect the first national security briefings, which details not only threat perceptions but responses, including special operations that are currently under way in different parts of the world- conflicts and resolutions.

America has one US President at a time and Obama might need to bite his tongue when it comes to Iran, or his policies as expressed, may develop into unmitigated disaster.  The ideology of characters like Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, and Frank Davis, and yesterday’s selection of Rahm Emanuel to Chief of Staff, combined make the hairs on my back stand up.  Illinois Democrat Emanuel served under Clinton and as Paul Joseph Watson notes this morning on his pick, “it is disturbing in light of the fact he is a staunch supporter of reactionary forces in Israel and his father was an Irgun terrorist.”  http://www.infowars.com/?p=5781&cp=6  Exit polls conducted nationwide show that about 78 percent of the Jewish vote was for Obama and I wonder if they are reassured that Obama’s values are similar to theirs?  I also wonder if anyone will note that Emanuel was appointed to the board of Freddie Mac?  http://hotair.com/archives/2008/11/07/emanuel-tied-to-freddie-mac-collapse/

“Barack Obama has criticized Bush for “not talking to the enemy,” particularly in Iran. So, the world would expect Obama to obey all the diplomatic traffic rules and follow all the procedures to try to persuade President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Iranian authorities to abandon their project to build a nuclear bomb. But when Iran refuses to give up its bomb despite the eloquent entreaties of the new American president, Obama would be forced to act. So, after talking with Iran, he would likely end up at the same spot where Bush is. That wouldn’t’t make him very popular in Iran or with others who oppose America’s use of its military might.”  said, Ayann Hirsi Ali. http://www.arabtimesonline.com/kuwaitnews/faqdetails.asp?faid=1218&faqid=9.  She also articulates that by America’s with drawl of the Middle East, we will be opening the whole area to energy hungry Chinese and to Russia to whom democracy, borders, boundaries and civil rights have little meaning.

Iran’s naval chief Adm. Habibollah Sayyari told state radio Tuesday, Oct,.28, that their new base could be used to block the entry of any “enemy” into the Persian Gulf. Iran has warned it would close the narrow Strait of Hormuz, through which 40 percent of the world’s oil passes, if the US attacked its nuclear installations. Sources note the additional advantages of its location for Tehran are quick access to the Red Sea, Indian Ocean and Horn of Africa and support for three objectives:

1. A naval presence opposite the Gulfs of Oman and Aden, where Israeli maintains Dolphin submarines. For Tehran their presence is part of Israel’s belligerent posture opposite Iran.

2. Intensified military involvement in Sudan on the Red Sea.

3. As a counterweight for the US, NATO and Russian naval might building up off the pirate-ridden Somali coast. From Tehran, this build-up looks like a potential threat to its maritime supply lanes and oil export routes.  http://www.debka.com/headline.php?hid=5681First,

Obama must realize that negotiating with Iran will not stop its nuclear weapons program. He said he will speak with rogue state leaders like Ahmadinejad “without preconditions,” implying this is a new idea. In fact, Britain, France and Germany (“the EU-3″) have been doing exactly that for over five years. Throughout, they have been surrogates for America, and yet Iran has shown no inclination to terminate its nuclear program.  John Bolton http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2008/09/25/2008-09-25_a_wakeup_call_on_irans_nukes.html———-3

Buried on the back pages of the news, The Israel Insider is reporting a seismic event in southern Iran, may in fact have been a massive underground nuclear bomb test.  The USGS measured a tremor 5.0 on the Richter scale on October 25, just north of Hormuz and opposite Abu Hhabi.  A 4.8 Richter scale event happened on October 21 just 3 miles of the event on the 25th. Foreign sources have long speculated that Iran already is possession of ready nuclear bombs and are being funded by China and North Korea.  Who do you think Iran would like to bomb first?  Israel, maybe or the US?

I trust that Obama’s security briefing didn’t leave out the fact that North Korea threatened to turn South Korea into debris unless Seoul stops what it described as a policy of confrontation.  “The puppet authorities had better bear in mind that the advanced preemptive strike of our own style will reduce everything … to debris, not just setting them on fire,” the North’s military said in a statement.  “It will turn out to be a just war… to build an independent reunified state on it, http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24565063-2703,00.html.

Rand Corporation http://www.rand.org/pubs/testimonies/2008/RAND_CT304.pdf  gave testimony presented before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs on April 15, 2008 the impact of a nuclear target hit in Long Beach, California.  “The area of radiation contamination (approximately 500 square km) that will require long-term relocation of people and businesses is home to an estimated two million people. These people must be moved within a few days and will not be able to take most of their possessions because of the threat of contamination. Prevention efforts would benefit the country not only in the extreme case of nuclear terrorism, but would also be broadly applicable to the preparation for and response to other catastrophes such as major earthquakes and floods that could require mass evacuations for months or even years of contaminate regions.

http://www.rand.org/pubs/testimonies/2008/RAND_CT304.pdf”  Where do you think the people might be moved to?  My money is Alaska.  Who is going to move 2 million people?  The 1st Army Brigade?

The short, 12 page document in so little words goes over what would be needed in a nuclear event or disaster hitting a city and basically says what most Americans know, we’d be screwed.  Maybe the Rex 84 Program http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rex_84 is making a comeback in 2008 under a new name, The Conflict and Revolution Document or C & R Document in preparation for a U.S. financial or nuclear demise.  The Madison Report claimed the C&R Document exists and it is circulating among Congress warning of a bleak future for America. http://www.knowthelies.com/?q=node/1307  Just maybe, C & R is what the President receives daily.

Let’s hope, That One has those big ears open and his mouth shut while he under goes the same daily briefings as The President. If the message of a C & R Document isn’t in print and doesn’t really exist, we can all see the writing on the wall anyways.

America has spoken.  The 2008 Presidential Election is over.  Barry Baraq Mohammad Hussein Dunham Stereo Obama, Jr., That One- Barack Obama is going to be the 44th President. http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/stateupdates/gGx3Kc

What struck me in the news coverage of The Election, were the tears of joy streaming from Jessie Jackson’s eyes.  In the words of many black voters, the dream has been at least partially realized.

While America celebrated, Russia was busy.  President Dmitry Medvedev sent congratulations via a telegram http://en.rian.ru/world/20081105/118142101.html .  While addressing the Federal Assemble Medvedev said, “We have no problems with the American nation, we have no inbred anti-Americanism. We hope our partners, the new United States administration, will make a choice in favor of full-fledged relations with Russia,”  Simultaneously he issued a direct threat with an announcement that he would deploy Iskander missiles to Russia’s Kaliningrad region, as a military response to U.S. plans to deploy missile-defense facilities in Poland and the Czech Republic, former Soviet satellites that are now NATO members.  He did not say if they would have nuclear warheads.  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122588962209001415.html and updated at http://www.air-attack.com/news/news_article/3422.

Obama has promised to cut US defense spending and demilitarize while Russia is modernizing it’s fleet of missiles.  https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2008/10/22/obama-demilitarizes-while-russia-modernizes-missiles/  Only last Friday, A ground-based missile successfully intercepted a target missile in a test of the nation’s defense system. http://www.mda.mil/mdalink/html/mdalink.html An intercontinental ballistic missile interceptor blasted out of an underground silo at Vandenberg Air Force Base shortly after 1:15 p.m., and tracked a target missile that had lifted off from the Kodiak Launch Complex in Alaska. Two operational interceptor missiles are currently based at Vandenberg and there are 11 deployed at Fort Greely, Alaska.  Obama may want to play nicer with Sarah Palin from Alaska.  http://www.ocregister.com/news/missile-defense-interceptor-1854447-target-air

Russia is not alone in the quest for missile leadership. http://missilethreat.com/missilesoftheworld/ Accuracy of missiles like the Al Hussein, Project 1728, Al Hijara a Road Mobile SRBM- is such that it can only be effectively used against extremely large targets, as it can land as far as two miles away from the intended target. As such, it is useful to strike population centers, large military staging areas and oil fields, but little else.

In Iran, with whom Obama has pledged to sit down with no preconditions, the The Shahab-3 is a medium-range, liquid-propellant, road-mobile ballistic missile.  Nuclear, HE, chemical, or sub munitions, it is ready and operational in Iran.   Its range is sufficient to target Israel, Turkey, the Indian subcontinent, and US forces stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Persian Gulf. The missile’s low accuracy means the missile would probably only be usable to attack civilian populations and has no military application other than simply holding enemy populations hostage.

Obama said, ” If we can responsibly deploy missile defenses that would protect us and our allies we should – but only when the system works. ” http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NDgzZTk5YjBjYmNkNDQ2NDhhOGFlNmJhYzJhYmFmODM= President Obama must understand that while not perfect, they are working and others are in development.  One is the Kinetic Energy Interceptor, an agile, high-acceleration system that can get close to launch sites because of its mobility. Another is the Airborne Laser, which will be able to strike lofting missiles above the clouds at the speed of light using a laser from hundreds of miles away. A third program is the Network Centric Airborne Defense Element, an inexpensive modification of the main air-to-air missile carried on U.S. fighters that could be ready to intercept enemy missiles by the end of the next president’s first term in office.  http://www.spacewar.com/reports/Thompson_Files_Missile_defense_realities_999.html

Also on the Election Day, The Bahraini Air Force conducted a joint exercise in missile defense with units from the US Central Command, Bahrain’s official BNA news agency reported on Tuesday.  http://www.spacewar.com/missiledefense.html

Israel celebrated the election by bombing the Gaza Strip. “A four-month ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza was in jeopardy today after Israeli troops killed six Hamas gunmen in a raid into the territory.  Hamas responded by firing a wave of rockets into southern Israel.  http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/05/israelandthepalestinians

In the Congo, http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/congo Rebels led by the renegade Tutsi general Laurent Nkunda clashed with pro-government Mai Mai militia today, threatening a fragile ceasefire around the provincial capital, Goma. The renewed fighting prompted aid groups to suspend efforts to reach ten of thousands of people displaced and starving by previous violence. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/05/congo-aid

What could be worse than Proposition 4, 8, 10,12 or 14?  What is worse than the financial bailouts?  What is worse than reform or taxes?  What could be worse than war?  A nuclear war and  nuclear disaster.

President George Washington has summed it up, “The foundations of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality, and the preeminence of free government be exemplified by all the attributes which can win the affections of its citizens, and command the respect of the world.”

Joe Biden and Joe The Plumber can agree on one thing.  President Obama will be, and is being tested even before his inauguration.

The campaign for President is winding down but the media’s news campaign for the results of the election are running full steam ahead.

Americans are tuning in to Main Stream Media and the Internet like never before to follow election results and see where our country is headed in the next four years.  It is incredible really, the amount of information that one has access to in America, and that the access and reporting is in real time.  It becomes unimaginable that there are places in the world like Russia and China where the government censures the media at it’s convenience.  Freedom of speech and of the press are often taken for granted in America.  Whatever the outcome, our Election Day coverage in the media displays to the entire world that democracy works.  There is no amount of advertising dollars that could ever be spent that indicates just how powerful freedom is.

It will be interesting to note not only the variances in the graphic designs but the uncertainty of predictions.  In 2004, polling numbers, predictions and maps were cast aside as our Judaical system ruled in the end that George Bush won.  Statistics and graphs can misrepresent the truth and be manipulated into reflecting opinion, rather than fact.  Will Fox News, that typically leans toward Republican candidates, show graphs that reflect a bias toward McCain?  Will CNN, that is stereotypically pro Democrat, yield information that indicates Obama the winner?  Time will tell in the final outcome which media outlet is the most reliable, fair and balanced in reporting the results and activities of Election 2008.  My prediction and hope is that voters put country first and that in the end all the maps- no matter the source, confirm John S. McCain as the next President of The United States of America.

One University of Michigan physics professor and his team applied mathematics, geography, and visualization to show us that those blocky red states and blue states are actually a lovely, purpley, swirly, fishy looking thing. The above image comes from http://www-personal.umich.edu/~mejn/election/.

This Google link page lets you see state-by-state breakdowns, with vote totals within each state, and also county-by-county breakdowns, if you click on the state, then click on “County Map” in the upper right-hand corner of the pop up window.  http://maps.google.com/help/maps/elections/#2008_election Google also has a map http://myfairelection.com/ where we can follow events at the polls as reported by citizens like you and me.  We are only a few hours into the election and already people are posting and logging in to identify problems and successes at the voting booths across America.

Here are some great links to get you perusing all the information available with many maps and a few graphs that reflect what is being reported and how the election may be trending.

While it is early on Election Day, all reports show a calm America as we go about our duty to vote freely without duress of martial law, riots, civil disorder, or the Enforcement of Laws to Restore Public Order.  https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2008/11/03/riot-police-ready-for-civil-unrest-on-election-night/

It is also notable that any pending litigation from Andy Martin, Philip Berg http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-paedce/case_no-2:2008cv04083/case_id-281573/  or John Q. Citizen that demanded that the election be delayed or that Obama shows the world his authentic, vaulted birth certificate have not been successful. https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2008/10/31/obamas-citizenship-goes-to-supreme-court/ Both Martin and Berg have court dates after the elections regarding Obama’s citizenship and qualifications to become President under the natural born citizen clause, Article II, Section 1, of the U.S. Constitution.   The electoral college process takes place after the election and is outlined here http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/electoral-college/faq.html  These are the key dates:

  • November 4, 2008 – General Election: The voters in each State choose electors to serve in the Electoral College. As soon as election results are final, the States prepare seven or nine original “Certificates of Ascertainment” of the electors chosen, and send one original along with two certified copies (or three originals, if nine were prepared) to the Archivist of the United States.
  • December 15, 2008 – Meeting of Electors: The electors in each State meet to select the President and Vice President of the United States. The electors record their votes on six “Certificates of Vote,” which are paired with the six remaining original “Certificates of Ascertainment.” The electors sign, seal and certify the packages of electoral votes and immediately send them to the President of the Senate, the Archivist of the United States and other designated Federal and State officials.
  • December 24, 2008 – Deadline for Receipt of Electoral Votes: The President of the Senate, the Archivist of the United States, and other designated Federal and State officials must have the electoral votes in hand.
  • January 6, 2009 – Counting Electoral Votes in Congress: The Congress meets in joint session to count the electoral votes (unless Congress passes a law to change the date).
  • God Bless America, her citizens, and especially today, The Voter.
