President Obama has admitted, “I screwed up,” in his reference to selecting Tom Daschle, Nancy Killefer,  and Bill Richardson, to key government positions.  How Tim Geithner squeaked by is beyond me.

“It’s important for this administration to send a message that there aren’t two sets of rules — you know, one for prominent people and one for ordinary folks who have to pay their taxes,” Obama said. Earlier in the day, Obama had proclaimed he was “absolutely” sticking with Daschle for Health and Human Services Secretary.-CNN

Only days on the job, and already he admits he screwed up?  Maybe the voters screwed up.  Certainly from someone with an advanced degree from Harvard, he could have chose to say I made a mistake instead of saying screwed.

In another fine example of failure to vett potential nominees, we are again witness to people whose backgrounds reveal that they are deceitful, not unintentional oversights.   A person selected to oversee the implementation of policy should have impeccable credentials, just like Obama who has explained and dismissed any questionable relationship he has ever had with Ayers, Rezko, Kahlidi, Odinga, Rev. Wright Wrong, ACORN, etc. http://www.fightthesmears.com/

Obama has come out smelling like a rose en route the The Presidency even though his own vetting left a lot to be desired.  No one still has seen his official birth certificate even after numerous lawsuits by Berg, Donofrio and others.  Obama’s selective service documents are out of alignment with the truth. Where is his report card and transcripts?  Really, why would the American voters expect the vetting of his selections to be any different than Obama’s own vetting?

President Obama warned Republicans recently on Capitol Hill that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.   “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” he said to the GOP leaders whom he himself had invited to the White House to discuss his trillion dollar stimulus.  The funny thing is, I know more about Rush Limbaugh’s success and failures than Obama’s.  Too bad for Joe the Plumber who got a full vetting in public.

Are we supposed to believe in all those government agencies working together to prevent terrorism when we have a leader who’s team can’t even vett or nominate someone without tax problems?  If the Obama government is trying to adjust the market’s allocation of wealth and opportunity it should start by selecting acceptable candidates and properly vetting them.  Perhaps he should take his own advice to heart and ask his wife when he said in an interview for of all places, The Ladies Home Journal, “I would never make a big decision without asking her opinion.”

The millions of Obama trolls must be saddened to know he owned up to a mistake.  Obama’s political e-mail list tops 13 million names, a digital force that he can rely on to push for his legislations, hinder critics, or seek support.  ” That power gives Obama’s on line advisers a potentially bigger role than many of his Cabinet picks and major hires in pushing through an agenda.   A Cabinet secretary stumping for a new bill has been rendered less powerful than a million e-mails crashing the Capitol; a visit to the Hill from top aides is unmatched to on line petitions that clog legislative offices.” http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obamas-online-trolls-to-keep-at-it.  The good thing for Obama is he doesn’t have to vett 13 million names.

The little thorns on the stem of the rose that smelled like sweet victory got him elected in the first place will keep pricking and poking away at his selections and his plans-those little thorns are called Republicans. As Obama so eloquently pointed out when people disagree with his policy, he said arrogantly, “I Won,” when challenged by republican Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl of Arizona over the contents of the stimulus package.

You sure did win President Obama, now stop screwing up our land of hope and change.

The last political figure to admit, “I screwed up,” was John McCain telling David Letterman when he canceled a “Late Show” appearance.

We all know what happened to McCain.

Of all the brain washing crap we have been subject to, just in time for Christmas or should we be politically correct and say this holiday season, comes the children’s book, Why Mama Voted for Obama http://littledemocrats.net/Obama.html  http://www.amazon.com/Why-Mommy-Democrat-Jeremy-Zilber/dp/0978668804  http://news.aol.com/elections-blog/tag/Jeremy+Zilber/

“Why Mommy is a Democrat” also by Jeremy Zilber looks like an attempt to reach out to the two-year-old bloc. “Using plain and non-judgmental language,” the book’s Web site reads, “along with warm and whimsical illustrations, this colorful 28-page paperback depicts the Democratic principles of fairness, tolerance, peace, and concern for the well-being of others.” Of course, “Democratic candidates and party organizations” will receive part of the book’s profits.

These swipes at The Republican Party might go over the head of kids, but not parents and not over mine.

If you love your mama, thank her for having you because Obama has promised to continue partial birth abortions so as not to ‘saddle anyone with a baby.’  He is an enemy to unborn children.  http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/77500/barack_hussein_obama_jr_defends_partialbirth.html  There isn’t anything warm and fuzzy about that.

Laying further claim in brain washing, “we are already globalists-in-training and will be full-fledged ones in the not-too-distant future.” http://whitelocust.wordpress.com/2008/11/18/expatriation-in-situ-by-baron-bodissey/  Globalist, me?  No, I am an American and have documentation to prove it in any court of law in the U.S.A. Maybe Obama is in fact the ultimate Globalist in not only his genealogy but his ideals as well.  Our Constitution doesn’t allow for a Globalist as President only a qualified citizen at birth or natural born citizen.  I have little faith that Obama was born in Hawaii, the theory seems to be leaning toward Kenya, far across the globe giving him dual citizenship and making him ineligible and testing the Constitution in the process.

On last month anniversary of The People’s Temple mass suicide, http://www.thoughtsaloud.com/2008/11/19/marxism-religion-and-kool-aid/ I  I am reminded of the power leaders have over followers and blind faith.  The Nation magazine reported at the time, “The temple was as much a left-wing political crusade as a church. Jones message of socialist redemption was so strong it lulled more than 900 people to “drink the kool-aid.” of stupidity.

Knowledge is power and it is becoming more apparent how such faith in the Obama kool-aid that the government is going to everything for you with a vision of change.  It seems that a new world order with promises of democratic principles, may be coming like it or not, with citizens looking to the Obama administration so solve all that ails them.  All the new faces we were promised with  “Change,” looks like the same ole, same ole with the Clinton and Daschle old school politicians of the world back in power.

Gone will be the day of working hard in America when there is no incentive to do so.   The influences on the youngest members of our society, our children should be mindful that working hard is the best road to success.  The idea that a child’s educational experience will be enhanced by a mandatory two year commitment to community service is a disservice to our youth- say nothing of the 40 year old crowd.

All kool-aid has been removed from the pantry for the time being.  We will be serving melted snow that is abundant thanks to global climate change.  Snow contains no melamine or artificial ingredients, unless you count what the dog may add to it.

Oh yeah, Merry Christmas.  This book will not be under our tree and Santa better not bring it either.

Just when you think you’ve heard it all in the election cycle, comes along more fuel to the fire with columnist, Kathleen Parker of the Washington Post blathering on why the Republicans lost this year’s election, and it’s all God’s fault.  She writes at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/11/18/AR2008111802886.html

“Three little letters, great big problem: G-O-D. I’m bathing in holy water as I type. To be more specific, the evangelical, right-wing, oogedy-boogedy branch of the GOP is what ails the erstwhile conservative party and will continue to afflict and marginalize its constituents if reckoning doesn’t soon cometh.  Simply put: Armband religion is killing the Republican Party.”

People have legitimate positions on all sides of these issues and we don’t have to agree with all of them, but a description of the oogedy-boogedy branch of the GOP is rather offensive. Socially conservative positions may not be the popular vote, but to suggest that a whole group of people leave their values behind is ludicrous.  Religion is very personal thing, but not necessarily private.  The gorilla she professes as a God problem is really the abortion issue. Obama made clear his support for the policy of federal funding and with regard to his personal life, saying that if his daughter’s made a mistake, he wouldn’t want them punished for the rest of their lives.  Did Obama learn this from Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church, The Koran, The Bible?

History will tell us of the consequence of voting for Obama and his selection of pro-abortion former U.S. senator Tom Daschle of South Dakota as his Health and Human Services Secretary. His announcement came on The Feast Day of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, the patroness of Catholic hospitals.  It strikes me that proposition 8 in California, was defeated by the those same socially conservative voters that elected Obama.

In his homily before the election November 3, 2008,  Most Reverend Robert W. Finn
Bishop of Kansas City-St. Joseph http://whitearoundthecollar.blogspot.com/ wrote in part , ” In a country where we have made choice an absolute, we must remember that underlying every choice is a value; that flowing from every choice is a consequence; that we must give an accounting to God for what we decide.”

“The recent election was principally decided out of concern for the economy, for the loss of jobs and homes and financial security for families, here and around the world. If the election is misinterpreted ideologically as a referendum on abortion, the unity desired by President-elect Obama and all Americans at this moment of crisis will be impossible to achieve,” said, Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), voiced hope for the Obama Administration but pointed to possible obstacles to our desired unity. http://www.usccb.org/comm/archives/2008/08-174.shtml

Pope Benedict XVI delivered this message at the general audience in St. Peter’s Square, Vatican City on November 12, 2008, “Our life in this world, marked by trials and tribulations, must be inspired by the hope of heaven and the expectation of our resurrection to glory.”  http://zenit.org/article-24235?l=english

If the abandonment of God and his public followers is the way to garner votes for the GOP, it is a sad reflection on our society.    Whether one defines themselves as Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Mormon, Muslim, Orthodox, Baptist or as she refers to the Evangelicals, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evangelicalism we should define ourselves in theocracy with the love of God and country and if that means wearing an armband for unborn children, then so be it.

“So while insulting G-O-D, she also insulted people like me. Like you. People who insist on infusing their faith into their politics. And that’s okay; I’d rather be in the oogedy-boogedy section of Heaven (God willing), than in the hoity-toity room of hell, where’s there possibly very little elbow room.”  http://actsoftheapostasy.blogspot.com/2008/11/rise-up-ye-oogedy-boogedy-of-god.html

“What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but to lose his soul?”

God Bless America.
