False Flag Alert?

Volcanic Ash is supposedly to blame for grounding a significant portion of Air Travel throughout Europe.

All flights in and out of the UK and several other European countries have been suspended as ash from a volcanic eruption in Iceland moves south. Up to 4,000 flights are being cancelled with airspace closed in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark among others.

The UK’s air traffic control service (Nats) said no flights would be allowed in UK airspace until at least 0700 BST on Friday amid fears of engine damage. The airspace restriction was the worst in living memory, a spokesman said. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8621407.stm

It is an eerie reminder of 9-11 in the U.S., when all commercial planes were grounded.  For now the skies are quiet in most of the U.K., except for maybe a fighter jet or two.

Volcanic Ash Plume

Or link to the image here http://www.sat24.com/Eyjafjallajokull-volcano.aspx.

One of the largest NATO military drills is being held today, rather conveniently while volcanic ash is keeping all commercial aircraft on the ground around the U.K.  That won’t stop one of the world’s largest military exercises from going forward though.

A large fleet of warships, submarines, frigates and aircraft from 10 NATO countries and one non-NATO member has congregated here to take part in the ‘Brilliant Mariner’ maritime exercise in the Baltic Sea.

The 10-day long multi-nation naval drill began here on April 12, 2010. It will engage the NATO forces to respond to a number of challenges, including asymmetric or terrorist threats, maritime security operations and embargo operations “in a realistic scenario,” a NATO statement said.

The exercise will see participation of 6,500 defence personnel, 31 warships, 28 aircraft and four submarines that will operate in the Northern European waters and airspace.

The French Navy, which is commanding the maritime exercise, has sent 10 of its warships and 30 aircraft.

Its naval fleet includes aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, amphibious warship Mistral, under-attack submarine Emeraude along with other frigates. The aviation fleet includes Mirage fighter aircraft, Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft and Atlantique 2 maritime patrol aircraft along with other planes.

The countries participating in the huge military drill are Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, USA, France, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom and Sweden. Sweden, a non-NATO member, is taking part in the exercise as a ‘Partnership for Peace’ country.http://www.brahmand.com/news/NATO-countries-begin-Brilliant-Mariner-naval-exercise/3645/1/10.html

Things are not so quiet in Israel either!

Israel is sending a strong message to Iran, US and the world as it readies itself to undertake military drills to strike Iran’s nuclear sites if it gets green signal in future from its government. Israeli military will prepare itself to launch massive aerial attack to bomb nuclear sites in Iran. The drill also includes civil defense drill to prepare civilians(emphasis mine) for the retaliatory attack from Iran too.

No doubt Israel is making it clear to Iran that in case of any eventuality they can bomb more than dozen nuclear sites and moving convoys in a matter of few days or hours.  The on-the-ground preparations, training exercises involving F15 and F16 jets, tankers and helicopters indicate that threat can translate into action.

Israel will need consent from US to carry out such a big operation.  Without US intelligence input it would be impossible to get all information about exact locations of nuclear facilities. But by carrying out this drill Israel is showing a kind of preparedness to take on Iran alone. The fate of Middle East crisis now depends on new Israeli government, Obama and Iran. http://trendsupdates.com/israeli-military-drill-to-strike-iran%E2%80%99s-nuclear-sites/

In the U.S. Northcom, Southcom, FEMA, NORAD and other U.S. government agencies were running drills before 9-11, and before the recent Haiti quake just to name a few.  Read more coincidences between disasters and drills here https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/03/23/earthquake-tsunami-military-drills-precipitate-catastrophe/.

During a conference, Obama said in response to a question on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that such disputes are “costing us significantly in terms of both blood and treasure.” http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3876404,00.html

We can only hope Obama does a better job.

While it never made the national news, the U.S. and South Korea were playing war games this week with live ammo:

RODRIGUEZ RANGE, South Korea — The U.S. and South Korean militaries on Thursday staged a large live-fire exercise 15 miles south of the Demilitarized Zone, but officials insisted the event was not meant as a warning to North Korea.

“There is not a message we are sending to any particular audience,” said Col. Thomas C. Graves, commander of the 2nd Infantry Division’s 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team. “The message that comes out of this is the strength of the [U.S.-South Korean] alliance across the board.

“We are doing an integration at the combined arms level — at the tactical level — that probably isn’t seen anywhere else in the world. How the North reacts to this is certainly not something I can predict.”

The exercise came on the birthday of Kim Il Sung, North Korea’s founder and the father of current leader Kim Jong Il — and a day after the Korean Central News Agency reported the recent staging of a major military exercise in North Korea to mark the anniversary. http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=69377

That’s three major military drills going on at the same time in the same week. This week also saw another huge earthquake, a cyclone, major flooding and volcanic eruptions.

Convenient timing, would you say?

SNAFU.

UPDATED article at https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/04/16/volcano-ash-cloud-conspiracy-photos-reveals-alien-faces-ufos/ Where did you put your tinfoil hat? You’re gonna need it!   The Eyjafjallajökull Volcano in Iceland has not only spewed ash and lava, but more conspiracy. Floating ash clouds, an alien like face on the surface, a ufo caught on tape, mandatory evacuations, restricted air space and no seismic activity.

Nuclear Physics Professor Massoud Mohammadi, Dead

The Dead Scientist List grows with the death of Iranian Nuclear Scientist, Masoud Ali Mohammadi today in Tehran, Iran.  A  bomb-rigged motorcycle blew up outside his home in the town of Qeytariye.  AP via http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100112/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_iran.

His death was blamed on the hands of Americans who, along with other nations have been pushing Iran to halt its uranium enrichment programs.

Since Ali Mohammadi was one of the scientists of physics and nuclear energy, most probably intelligence services and elements of the Mossad and CIA had a hand in his assassination,” the Web site of state television quoted Tehran prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabad as saying. The accusation was echoed by the Foreign Ministry.

In Washington, State Department spokesman Mark Toner denied the charge. “Any charges of U.S. involvement are absurd,” he said. A U.S. intelligence official said the CIA played no role in the bombing death, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

From Al Jazeera -http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/2010/01/201011273050938177.html  Alireza Ronaghi, reporting from Tehran, said Mohammadi might have had links to Iran’s disputed nuclear programme.  “Authorities who decided to remain unnamed tell me that Mohammadi had some connections with Iran’s nuclear programme and this could be related,” he said.  He said it was unclear who might have been behind the bombing.  “Anyone who is connected to Iran’s nuclear programme could be an easy target for [foreign] intelligence services.”

It is not the first time America and its ally Isreal have been blamed for killing nuclear scientists.  From a ten year old article making reference to dead Iraqi scientists via http://mathaba.net/x.htm?http://mathaba.net/0_index.shtml?x=80029

The Iraqi ambassador in Cairo, Ahmad al-Iraqi, accused Israel of sending to Iraq immediately after the US invasion “a commando unit” charged with the killing of Iraqi scientists.    “Israel has played a prominent role in liquidating Iraqi scientists … The campaign is part of a Zionist plan to kill Arab and Muslim scientists working in applied research which Israel sees as threatening its interests,” al-Iraqi said.  Dr. Imad Jad, an Israeli affairs expert at the Al-Ahram Studies Center, said the US had already airlifted 70 Iraqi scientists out of the country and placed them in areas to make it difficult for them to “transfer information to anti-US quarters.”  He said more than 310 Iraqi scientists have been killed so far and most of them at the hands of Mossad agents working in Iraq.

In the long run, Non-proliferation maybe the goal but in the meantime the Dead Scientist List of those who have died suspiciously has added another name.

More recent than where Rense left off in 2003, http://www.rense.com/general39/death.htm “the list world-acclaimed scientific researchers, specialising in infectious diseases and biological agents such as Smallpox and Anthrax, as well as DNA sequencing, environmental research and microbiology have died, many in unusual circumstances.” Mark J. Harper is a little more current http://theoneall.blogspot.com/2009/05/now-88-dead-scientists-and.html lists 88 dead scientists through 2005. Steve Quale has a list thru 2005 via http://www.stevequayle.com/dead_scientists/dead.scientists.chron.html

Increasing numbers of the dead last year were noted on this post regarding missing vials of who knows what from Ft. Detrick https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/06/24/ft-detrick-lab-missing-9000-virus-vials-scientists-still-dying-from-unnatural-causes/  beginning in 2009 after Fort Detrick anthrax researcher Bruce E. Ivins killed himself in July, the FBI announced that he alone was responsible for anthrax mailings that killed five people and sickened 17 others in 2001.

Dr. Ayaad Assaad an Egyptian-born toxicologist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the original suspect does not believe Ivins killed himself. ” You also have to tie into this the large numbers of dead microbiologists that have appeared since around the summer before these events, when the New York Times revealed the existence of the covert anthrax weapons programs run by the CIA, and that too is in the public record.” http://noworldsystem.com/2008/09/14/original-anthrax-patsy-says-ivins-didn%e2%80%99t-kill-himself/

 Notable from 2009

The  carcass of Indian famous nuclear scientist Lokanathan Mahalingam found from Kali River. The scientist had been mysteriously disappeared from the Kaiga Atomic Power Station on June 8, 2009. The Kaiga plant is located near one of the biggest naval bases, Project Seabird. http://pakistanfront.blogspot.com/2009/06/abducted-indian-nuke-scientist-found.html

A British nuclear expert who fell from the 17th floor of a United Nations building did not commit suicide and may have been hurled to his death, says a doctor who carried out a second post-mortem examination.  Timothy Hampton, 47, a scientist involved in monitoring nuclear activity, was found dead last week at the bottom of a stairwell in Vienna.  Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1224377/British-nuclear-experts-17th-floor-UN-death-plunge-suicide.html#ixzz0Ve8yrMQ8

December 9, 2009- An award-winning Iranian nuclear scientist, Shahram Amiri  traveled to Saudi Arabia earlier this year to perform a religious pilgrimage. He never returned. Shahram Amiri’s mysterious disappearance is turning into a Middle Eastern whodunit involving nuclear secrets and political intrigue, with a new round of accusations emerging this week and the U.S. government still refusing to comment.  http://www.mcclatchydc.com/iran/story/80348.html

No longer are the targets just scientists, but doctors.

From April 2009- An international drug company made a hit list of doctors who had to be “neutralised” or discredited because they criticised the anti-arthritis drug the pharmaceutical giant produced.  Staff at US company Merck & Co emailed each other about the list of doctors – mainly researchers and academics – who had been negative about the drug Vioxx or Merck and a recommended course of action http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/drug-company-drew-up-doctor-hit-list/story-0-1225693586492

What’s that song… Lawyers, Guns n Money from Warren Zevon? http://www.davemcnally.com/lyrics/WarrenZevon/LawyersGunsandMoney.asp

Well, I went home with the waitress
The way I always do
How was I to know
She was with the Russians, too

I was gambling in Havana
I took a little risk
Send lawyers, guns and money
Dad, get me out of this

I’m the innocent bystander
Somehow I got stuck
Between the rock and the hard place
And I’m down on my luck
And I’m down on my luck
And I’m down on my luck

Now I’m hiding in Honduras
I’m a desperate man
Send lawyers, guns and money
The shit has hit the fan

Send lawyers, guns and money…

I don’t know of one lawyer that can get you out of the grave.  Quite a few governments can put you there.  RIP.

First not making time to see the Dali Lama, and now not bothering to go to Berlin to attend the celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall some 20 years ago is a slap in the face as, 93% Say Fall of Berlin Wall Important To World History.  http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/europe/november_2009/93_say_fall_of_berlin_wall_important_to_world_history

President Obama squeezed in a trip to Copenhagen last month to lobby, unsuccessfully, for Chicago to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. He plans to travel to Oslo next month to accept the Nobel Peace Prize, an award that even Obama has said he does not deserve. And this coming week, he sets out on a week long tour of Asia.  But the president does not plan to travel to Germany to attend the 20th anniversary celebration Monday of the fall of the Berlin Wall, drawing heated criticism from those who say he’s ignoring a shining triumph of American-inspired democracy.  “A tragedy,” is how former House Speaker Newt Gingrich described Obama’s absence. http://www.thefoxnation.com/berlin-wall/2009/11/09/obama-skips-berlin-wall-anniversary

Instead of going himself, he sent U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton who congratulated Germans on the 20-year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall at a meeting Monday with Angela Merkel, Germany’s first chancellor from the former communist East.  The wall that divided East and West Berlin, Clinton said Sunday at an earlier event, the hard work that went into ending the Cold War must be channeled to meet fresh challenges, including the fights against extremism and climate change. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091109/ap_on_re_eu/eu_clinton_germany

Again with the Climate Change crap. She might have mentioned that on November 27, 20 years of freedom from Soviet communism in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will be celebrated as well.

On the bright side at least he isn’t spending our tax dollars on a trip on AirForce One.  We need every dime with him spending a trillion dollars or so on a health care reform trip that will put every U.S citizen down a path of further economic distress and give government more power.

The New York Times’ Sheryl Gay Stolberg, “The timing is crucial. Administration officials say Mr. Obama wants to wrap up work on health care so that he can turn his attention to other legislative priorities, including passing an energy bill and revamping financial regulations. But White House officials also know that the closer the final vote comes to the November 2010 midterm Congressional elections, the more difficult it will be to pass legislation. ”

Tonight the president will meet with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office. We wonder if they are going to talk about Germany- post the Nazi regime that killed millions during the Holocaust?  Will they talk of the similar wall and fences that separate Palestinians and Israelis?  President Reagan said, “The advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace,” prior to saying, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.”

Isreal border fence

The Israeli West-Bank barrier, “separation (hafrada) fence”  is a  barrier being constructed by the State of Israel, consisting of a network of fences with vehicle-barrier trenches surrounded by an on average 60 meter wide exclusion area (90%) and high concrete walls up to 8 meters high.   The Israeli Gaza Strip barrier and the wall separating Gaza from Egypt have been less controversial, but still stand. via Wiki.  Will there be any mention of tearing down these walls, aand what of the walls in the U.S.?

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that it had more than 580 miles (930 km) of fence in place by the second week of January, 2009 and  had spent $40 million on environmental analysis and mitigation measures aimed at blunting any possible adverse impact that the fence might have on the environment. Days into The Obama Presidency, on January 16, 2009 DHS announced it was pledging an additional $50 million for that purpose, and signed an agreement with the U.S. Department of the Interior for utilization of the additional funding. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/17/us/17border.html?_r=1.   Just yesterday, in TIJUANA, Mexico, Mexican troops discovered a 122 yard long tunnel apparently aimed at crossing the U.S. border underground. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,573049,00.html

Other cities of the world who have or had walls, can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_with_defensive_walls.

Also today, Mr. Obama will sign an Executive Order on the employment of veterans in the federal government, which makes the Federal Government the model employer of Veterans and establishes a Council on Veterans Employment and a Veterans Employment Program office within most Federal agencies. via http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/11/09/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5587419.shtml?tag=latest   This should raise some conspiracy antenna as one of those long winded executive orders regarding pandemics and martial Law was to bring back and hire retired former servicemen and women.  Maybe with their expertise they can manage a better land survey.  America has built a portion of the fence in Mexico which must be moved.

Lastly, Vitaly Ginzburg, a Nobel Prize-winning Russian physicist and one of the fathers of the Soviet hydrogen bomb, has died in Moscow.”I am still inclined to believe in the brilliant future of mankind,” he said in the autobiography. http://www.mail.com/Article.aspx/world/0/APNews/General-World-News/20091109/U_EU-Russia-Obit-Ginzburg?pageid=1

We too are inclined to believe in the future of mankind, even more so after January 20, 2013.

(Update below) When freedom of the press is compromised in the New World Order, it is nothing less than another example of  government having control over it’s population.   In yet another instance:

The Guardian has been prevented from reporting parliamentary proceedings on legal grounds which appear to call into question privileges guaranteeing free speech established under the 1688 Bill of Rights.

The Guardian is also forbidden from telling its readers why the paper is prevented – for the first time in memory – from reporting parliament. Legal obstacles, which cannot be identified, involve proceedings, which cannot be mentioned, on behalf of a client who must remain secret.

The only fact the Guardian can report is that the case involves the London solicitors Carter-Ruck, who specialise in suing the media for clients, who include individuals or global corporations. ( emphasis mine)

Gagged. Don’t stop the presses.  Last month,  the same reporter David Leigh wrote,  How the UK Oil Company Trafigura tried to cover up an Africa Pollution Disasterhttp://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/sep/16/trafigura-oil-ivory-coast

The British oil trader Trafigura has offered to pay out in a historic damages claim from 31,000 Africans injured by the dumping of toxic waste in one of the worst pollution disasters in recent history, the Guardian can reveal.

The compensation deal for the victims of toxic oil waste dumping in west Africa – likely to be confirmed imminently – means the full extent of attempts to cover up what really happened can be spelled out for the first time. They have until now denied the compensation claims, and their lawyers repeatedly threatened anyone worldwide who sought to contradict their version. They launched a libel case against BBC Newsnight, forced a “correction” from the Times, demanded the Guardian deleted articles, and yesterday tried to gag  journalists in the Netherlands and Norway with legal threats.

Supporting his claim, Leigh provided internal emails from Trafigura’s company operatives around the world, which can be seen here- http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/sep/16/trafigura-email-files-read .  We do ask if  these company’s internal documents are proprietary or open as court documents?

The  e-mails “give a blow-by-blow account of the oil trading firm’s decision to buy gasoline from the Mexican state refinery PMI via a US oil terminal at Brownsville, and then process it at sea on a chartered tanker, the Probo Koala, using “caustic washing”.

Since the newspaper is under a gag order, we don’t know for sure if the two are related.  We surmise that there is enough preponderance of evidence that they are.  While the abuses allegedly committed by Tragifura come to light, it is not enlightening to know that a “democratic” Parliament has enabled itself,  ignoring laws to turn it’s back on freedom of the press.

“The editor, Alan Rusbridger, said: “The media laws in this country increasingly place newspapers in a Kafkaesque world in which we cannot tell the public anything about information which is being suppressed, nor the proceedings which suppress it. It is doubly menacing when those restraints include the reporting of parliament itself.”

The gag order comes on the heels of Italy’s freedom press rally where thousand’s gathered  protest in Rome’s central Piazza del Popolo against Silvio Berlusconi, Italy’s prime minister.  Berlusconi, owns three of Italy’s seven free-to-air TV channels, has also urged businessmen to stop placing ads in newspapers and magazines that attack him.

His critics say he also exerts considerable influence over state television RAI. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8289166.stm More commentary comes from http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/libertycentral/2009/oct/10/italy-press-freedom-berlusconi

The Index Censorship does and excellent job at tracking freedom of the press here http://www.indexoncensorship.org/2009/10/press-barred-from-reporting-parliamentary-question/.

cartoon_Malaisie_small_size-2

In yet another example of censorship, the Malaysia government has decided to prosecute the company that published the new cartoon magazine Gedung Kartun for not having a permit. The interior ministry said Zunar’s company, Sepakat Efektif, would be prosecuted under section 5 (2) (b) of the Printing Presses and Publication Act 1984 for “publication without a licence.” As its owner, Zunar faces up to three years in prison and a fine of up to 20 million ringgits.  Guess who issues the license?  The Malaysian government. http://www.rsf.org/spip.php?page=article&id_article=34658

Don’t for one minute think it doesn’t happen in America. Recall the brew ha ha over Ayers and the Obama’s hanging out at a dinner for Rashid Khalidi?  The LA Times refused to release the tape and there we rewards issued for it, including one from Dune Capital.  https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2008/12/13/the-blago-rezko-and-obama-3-ring-circus/ Censored information or witheld information protecting now President Barack Obama?  We have never seen the tape.  Have you seen this one from Sean Hannity and Fox discussing Obama at Rashid Khalidi’s house, toasting the former PLO press director while anti-Israel comments fly about the room?

On September 25, 2009 at a forum, debate and roundtable at Columbia University “UNRWA historical performance in a changing context”  – “Rashid Khalidi of Columbia University also made an appearance as the debate’s moderator—an indication of the spectrum of opinions present—deviating from his role as an objective overseer only to reiterate his colleagues’ anti-Israel and anti-Western diatribes.” http://www.campus-watch.org/article/id/8525.

Rashid Khalidi continues to make appearances and thanks some freedom of the press his views remain public.

Democracy is freedom of the press.   The World Press Freedom Index that Reporters Without Borders compiles every year and from the 2008 edition can be found here at http://www.rsf.org/Only-peace-protects-freedoms-in.html.

In adulthood and in childhood you pick a side and hope you win; you choose your favorite sports team and cheer for them.  The U.S. governement under Obama, is rooting for the whole world in negotiations and the U.S.  taxpayers is fighting a loosing battle.

As an NRA badge carrying, conservative Republican, it would be a cold day in hell before I sent the Democrats one red cent of my money.  America can’t always get what it wants, but by supporting two sides of a battle, it puts us in the middle where we  are most likely get run over.

Billions of dollars has been poured into the Mideast and you know what?  Most of the citizens and governments love our money, but hate America.  The jihadists will stop at nothing and what does America do, send more money!

From Fox News http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/24/transfers-million-aid-palestinian-authority-clinton-says/

“U.S. Transfers $200 Million in Aid to Palestinian Authority, Clinton Says.

The United States has transferred $200 million in aid for the Palestinian people, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Friday. The money was part of the assistance package announced at an international donors conference in March. Clinton, who spoke after returning from a visit to India and Thailand, said the money had been transferred directly to the Palestinian Authority. She said that she had been assured that President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad “have put in place the foundations of a responsible, transparent, accountable government.” This had been verified, she said, by the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and internal reviews.

Financing both sides of this battle, especially when our own economy lies in tatters is near traitorous. To think that either side, or even that America has a “responsible, transparent, accountable government” borders on being laughable, but it is not funny.  Clinton also said, ” the United States would continue to engage Israel and the Palestinians in peace talks and press for a two-state solution, and called on the rest of the world to help boost the Palestinian economy.”  Humph. How about someone sending a check to America?  Maybe paying back the U.S. Taxpayer for WWI and WWII. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/4757181.stm

Last I heard, The Palestinian Authority (Hamas) is classified by the United States as a terrorist organization.

I’m all for peace in an idealistic world.  But, the world is filled with leaders who to torturous things to its own citizens and hold the threat of nuclear war out like the golden carrot to get more U.S. Dollars.  Still we try to place nice in the world even though North Korea’s government-controlled KCNA news agency suggested that ‘she [sic Clinton] is by no means intelligent’. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1201630/Playground-scrap-Hilary-Clinton-says-North-Korea-friends-primary-schoolgirl.html Yet, we will continue to negotiate not only with NK but other states defined once, as members of the Axis of Evil.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said Saturday the country would strike Israel’s nuclear facilities if Tel Aviv attacked the Islamic state, Reuters reported state television as saying “If the Zionist Regime (Israel) attacks Iran, we will surely strike its nuclear facilities with our missile capabilities,” Mohammad Ali Jafari, Guards commander-in-chief, said. Jafari said Israel was entirely within the reach of Iran. “Our missile capability puts all of the Zionist regime (Israel) within Iran’s reach to attack,” Jafari said. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,534800,00.html

Clinton said this week a nuclear Iran could be contained by a U.S. “defense umbrella,” setting off tremors in the Middle East. Since making the remark on a television chat show in Thailand, Clinton has backpedaled, saying she was only restating existing policy and not referring to any sort of formal guarantees of protection under an American “nuclear umbrella.”

Will we ballyhoo the doctrine of “preemption” in negotiations? Mr. President Obama- yet another test for you.  Perhaps both Clinton and Biden could shush for just a day.

How intelligent is our foreign policy when the chickens continue to try to cross the road from Israel, the fence stops them from laying eggs on the other side in Palestine- while Iran threatens to make a scrambled mess of the entire region?

President Obama, assuming he will be confirmed as eligible under Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution, “will take office in a world in which the danger that terrorists could get and use a nuclear bomb remains very real.” according to The Agenda for the Next President – Preventing Nuclear Terrorism- November 2008, http://www.nti.org/e_research/Preventing_Nuclear_Terrorism-An_Agenda.pdf  The theory of a One World Order is pretty dismal, but we must concede that a global initiative to combat nuclear terrorism must be relentless in Obama’s administration.  The Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and its Article VI looked ahead to nuclear abolition and it may be one of the most successful treaties ever, exerting complete disarmament under strict and effective international control but that hasn’t happened- completely. http://disarmament2.un.org/wmd/npt/npttext.html and for proof of what has been happening check out the “Nuclear Vault” includes reading lists and other bibliographic information on key documents and significant contributions to the nuclear history and policy literature.

America, Russia, China. Israel and a whole host of countries maintain nuclear weapons and more countries want them.  Just look at the list of missiles that are known http://missilethreat.com/missilesoftheworld/  and guesstimate how many may be retrofitted with a nuclear warhead.  http://www.terrorism.com/ reports on terrorism activities in the world.

Meanwhile, the Russians up to little good this week, as their warships approached Venezuela under U.S. gaze. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=081125003835.vpm57qdg&show_article=1  Put your money that the Russians aren’t hanging out in the Caribbean for a break from Russia’s cold winter.  http://www.en.rian.ru/russia/20081125/118532892.html says the boats arrived and will begin to conduct live-ammunition artillery drills on December 1.  Merry Christmas little coral reefs and fishes.
The joint maneuvers will including the nuclear-powered cruiser Peter the Great and destroyer Admiral Chabankenko and coincide with a two-day visit by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to Venezuela, the strongest US critic in the region.  Medvedev was due to arrive Wednesday and meet fiercely anti-liberal President Hugo Chavez on Thursday, before heading to communist Cuba.  All this after the G-20 summit last weekend.
Right after Obama won the election, Medvedev talked in defiant message that they were updating their missile technology- just as the U.S. plans to install a strategic missile shield with in striking distance, in Poland and the Czech Republic?  Didn’t we get into a pissing battle with Russia over Cuba once already?  Venezuela’s own President claims the U.S. tried to kill him. http://www.venezuelanalysis.com/analysis/962

Far from American soil, I wonder really if the Pirates of Somalia are acting alone?  Where’d they get those nice Russian machine guns?  Humph.  40% of the Worlds Oil and a shit load of goods run maritime supply lanes right throughout the area and I’d bet Venezuela is just a practice for the Russian Navy to continue a build up off of the pirate-ridden Somali coast. http://www.mnweekly.ru/news/20081121/55357986.html already reported that the Somalia government {WHAT GOV’T?} has asked for Russian assistance and already has the sent the Neustrashimy (Fearless) missile frigate from the Northern Fleet to Somalia’s coast to protect Russian vessels in the country’s waters.  A friggate?  Oh, frig.

This just in, with out much dissection–Voice of America is reporting another hijacking http://voanews.com/english/2008-11-25-voa60.cfm by the Somali Pirates.

“The two countries have signed 4.4 billion dollars in bilateral arms deals signed since 2005, including radars, 24 Sukhoi-30 planes, 50 helicopters and 100,000 Kalashnikovs. Medvedev was expected to expand arms deals during his visit, as well as economic and energy ties, including plans for a joint civilian nuclear reactor. “Russia is a friend which held out a hand to us,” Gonzalez told AFP in a recent interview.  “We want to be very strong, but in a highly dissuasive direction. So that any country in the world thinks not once but 10 times before coming here.” Russia is free to exercise peacefully with anyone that they want to exercise with,” Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said Monday.

“But also people note through these exercises the company that nations keep.”

The resurgent Russia with all those petrodollars is becoming stronger while our economy tanks and Obama professes demilitarization.

From Reader Mail at The American Spectator, ” I remember reading (in Sept 2008), about Hugo Chavez being quoted as saying, and I quote directly, “The United States will soon be getting a new constitution written by others.” I remember reading this statement, which he brazenly made on 9/11 of this year and thought, “If folks don’t see that and wake up, then we are lost for sure.”   http://spectator.org/archives/2008/11/25/a-matter-of-time

Row, row row your boats….merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily out to sea….life is but a dream.

As if any American or Russian citizen opinion really mattered in making policy, The Center for International Studies and Security,  http://www.cissm.umd.edu/projects/pipa.php  shows that large majorities in both countries want their leaders to cooperate with each other on a wide range of security issues, not ignore or threaten each other.  The American and Russian publics strongly prefer formal arms control – treaties with legally biding obligations and effective verification – over unilateral action or informal policy coordination.

Aw, maybe we should send a Hallmark?

Obama has about two months to get up to speed for his “on the job training” to comprehend the full range of capabilities deployed by the United States. Barring any unforeseen challenges to his citizenship from Berg vs Obama or Martin vs the State of Hawaii, he will take office on January 20 and faces enormous security challenges here and abroad.  Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell gave the President-elect the first national security briefings, which details not only threat perceptions but responses, including special operations that are currently under way in different parts of the world- conflicts and resolutions.

America has one US President at a time and Obama might need to bite his tongue when it comes to Iran, or his policies as expressed, may develop into unmitigated disaster.  The ideology of characters like Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, and Frank Davis, and yesterday’s selection of Rahm Emanuel to Chief of Staff, combined make the hairs on my back stand up.  Illinois Democrat Emanuel served under Clinton and as Paul Joseph Watson notes this morning on his pick, “it is disturbing in light of the fact he is a staunch supporter of reactionary forces in Israel and his father was an Irgun terrorist.”  http://www.infowars.com/?p=5781&cp=6  Exit polls conducted nationwide show that about 78 percent of the Jewish vote was for Obama and I wonder if they are reassured that Obama’s values are similar to theirs?  I also wonder if anyone will note that Emanuel was appointed to the board of Freddie Mac?  http://hotair.com/archives/2008/11/07/emanuel-tied-to-freddie-mac-collapse/

“Barack Obama has criticized Bush for “not talking to the enemy,” particularly in Iran. So, the world would expect Obama to obey all the diplomatic traffic rules and follow all the procedures to try to persuade President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Iranian authorities to abandon their project to build a nuclear bomb. But when Iran refuses to give up its bomb despite the eloquent entreaties of the new American president, Obama would be forced to act. So, after talking with Iran, he would likely end up at the same spot where Bush is. That wouldn’t’t make him very popular in Iran or with others who oppose America’s use of its military might.”  said, Ayann Hirsi Ali. http://www.arabtimesonline.com/kuwaitnews/faqdetails.asp?faid=1218&faqid=9.  She also articulates that by America’s with drawl of the Middle East, we will be opening the whole area to energy hungry Chinese and to Russia to whom democracy, borders, boundaries and civil rights have little meaning.

Iran’s naval chief Adm. Habibollah Sayyari told state radio Tuesday, Oct,.28, that their new base could be used to block the entry of any “enemy” into the Persian Gulf. Iran has warned it would close the narrow Strait of Hormuz, through which 40 percent of the world’s oil passes, if the US attacked its nuclear installations. Sources note the additional advantages of its location for Tehran are quick access to the Red Sea, Indian Ocean and Horn of Africa and support for three objectives:

1. A naval presence opposite the Gulfs of Oman and Aden, where Israeli maintains Dolphin submarines. For Tehran their presence is part of Israel’s belligerent posture opposite Iran.

2. Intensified military involvement in Sudan on the Red Sea.

3. As a counterweight for the US, NATO and Russian naval might building up off the pirate-ridden Somali coast. From Tehran, this build-up looks like a potential threat to its maritime supply lanes and oil export routes.  http://www.debka.com/headline.php?hid=5681First,

Obama must realize that negotiating with Iran will not stop its nuclear weapons program. He said he will speak with rogue state leaders like Ahmadinejad “without preconditions,” implying this is a new idea. In fact, Britain, France and Germany (“the EU-3″) have been doing exactly that for over five years. Throughout, they have been surrogates for America, and yet Iran has shown no inclination to terminate its nuclear program.  John Bolton http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2008/09/25/2008-09-25_a_wakeup_call_on_irans_nukes.html———-3

Buried on the back pages of the news, The Israel Insider is reporting a seismic event in southern Iran, may in fact have been a massive underground nuclear bomb test.  The USGS measured a tremor 5.0 on the Richter scale on October 25, just north of Hormuz and opposite Abu Hhabi.  A 4.8 Richter scale event happened on October 21 just 3 miles of the event on the 25th. Foreign sources have long speculated that Iran already is possession of ready nuclear bombs and are being funded by China and North Korea.  Who do you think Iran would like to bomb first?  Israel, maybe or the US?

I trust that Obama’s security briefing didn’t leave out the fact that North Korea threatened to turn South Korea into debris unless Seoul stops what it described as a policy of confrontation.  “The puppet authorities had better bear in mind that the advanced preemptive strike of our own style will reduce everything … to debris, not just setting them on fire,” the North’s military said in a statement.  “It will turn out to be a just war… to build an independent reunified state on it, http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24565063-2703,00.html.

Rand Corporation http://www.rand.org/pubs/testimonies/2008/RAND_CT304.pdf  gave testimony presented before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs on April 15, 2008 the impact of a nuclear target hit in Long Beach, California.  “The area of radiation contamination (approximately 500 square km) that will require long-term relocation of people and businesses is home to an estimated two million people. These people must be moved within a few days and will not be able to take most of their possessions because of the threat of contamination. Prevention efforts would benefit the country not only in the extreme case of nuclear terrorism, but would also be broadly applicable to the preparation for and response to other catastrophes such as major earthquakes and floods that could require mass evacuations for months or even years of contaminate regions.

http://www.rand.org/pubs/testimonies/2008/RAND_CT304.pdf”  Where do you think the people might be moved to?  My money is Alaska.  Who is going to move 2 million people?  The 1st Army Brigade?

The short, 12 page document in so little words goes over what would be needed in a nuclear event or disaster hitting a city and basically says what most Americans know, we’d be screwed.  Maybe the Rex 84 Program http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rex_84 is making a comeback in 2008 under a new name, The Conflict and Revolution Document or C & R Document in preparation for a U.S. financial or nuclear demise.  The Madison Report claimed the C&R Document exists and it is circulating among Congress warning of a bleak future for America. http://www.knowthelies.com/?q=node/1307  Just maybe, C & R is what the President receives daily.

Let’s hope, That One has those big ears open and his mouth shut while he under goes the same daily briefings as The President. If the message of a C & R Document isn’t in print and doesn’t really exist, we can all see the writing on the wall anyways.

America has spoken.  The 2008 Presidential Election is over.  Barry Baraq Mohammad Hussein Dunham Stereo Obama, Jr., That One- Barack Obama is going to be the 44th President. http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/stateupdates/gGx3Kc

What struck me in the news coverage of The Election, were the tears of joy streaming from Jessie Jackson’s eyes.  In the words of many black voters, the dream has been at least partially realized.

While America celebrated, Russia was busy.  President Dmitry Medvedev sent congratulations via a telegram http://en.rian.ru/world/20081105/118142101.html .  While addressing the Federal Assemble Medvedev said, “We have no problems with the American nation, we have no inbred anti-Americanism. We hope our partners, the new United States administration, will make a choice in favor of full-fledged relations with Russia,”  Simultaneously he issued a direct threat with an announcement that he would deploy Iskander missiles to Russia’s Kaliningrad region, as a military response to U.S. plans to deploy missile-defense facilities in Poland and the Czech Republic, former Soviet satellites that are now NATO members.  He did not say if they would have nuclear warheads.  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122588962209001415.html and updated at http://www.air-attack.com/news/news_article/3422.

Obama has promised to cut US defense spending and demilitarize while Russia is modernizing it’s fleet of missiles.  https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2008/10/22/obama-demilitarizes-while-russia-modernizes-missiles/  Only last Friday, A ground-based missile successfully intercepted a target missile in a test of the nation’s defense system. http://www.mda.mil/mdalink/html/mdalink.html An intercontinental ballistic missile interceptor blasted out of an underground silo at Vandenberg Air Force Base shortly after 1:15 p.m., and tracked a target missile that had lifted off from the Kodiak Launch Complex in Alaska. Two operational interceptor missiles are currently based at Vandenberg and there are 11 deployed at Fort Greely, Alaska.  Obama may want to play nicer with Sarah Palin from Alaska.  http://www.ocregister.com/news/missile-defense-interceptor-1854447-target-air

Russia is not alone in the quest for missile leadership. http://missilethreat.com/missilesoftheworld/ Accuracy of missiles like the Al Hussein, Project 1728, Al Hijara a Road Mobile SRBM- is such that it can only be effectively used against extremely large targets, as it can land as far as two miles away from the intended target. As such, it is useful to strike population centers, large military staging areas and oil fields, but little else.

In Iran, with whom Obama has pledged to sit down with no preconditions, the The Shahab-3 is a medium-range, liquid-propellant, road-mobile ballistic missile.  Nuclear, HE, chemical, or sub munitions, it is ready and operational in Iran.   Its range is sufficient to target Israel, Turkey, the Indian subcontinent, and US forces stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Persian Gulf. The missile’s low accuracy means the missile would probably only be usable to attack civilian populations and has no military application other than simply holding enemy populations hostage.

Obama said, ” If we can responsibly deploy missile defenses that would protect us and our allies we should – but only when the system works. ” http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NDgzZTk5YjBjYmNkNDQ2NDhhOGFlNmJhYzJhYmFmODM= President Obama must understand that while not perfect, they are working and others are in development.  One is the Kinetic Energy Interceptor, an agile, high-acceleration system that can get close to launch sites because of its mobility. Another is the Airborne Laser, which will be able to strike lofting missiles above the clouds at the speed of light using a laser from hundreds of miles away. A third program is the Network Centric Airborne Defense Element, an inexpensive modification of the main air-to-air missile carried on U.S. fighters that could be ready to intercept enemy missiles by the end of the next president’s first term in office.  http://www.spacewar.com/reports/Thompson_Files_Missile_defense_realities_999.html

Also on the Election Day, The Bahraini Air Force conducted a joint exercise in missile defense with units from the US Central Command, Bahrain’s official BNA news agency reported on Tuesday.  http://www.spacewar.com/missiledefense.html

Israel celebrated the election by bombing the Gaza Strip. “A four-month ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza was in jeopardy today after Israeli troops killed six Hamas gunmen in a raid into the territory.  Hamas responded by firing a wave of rockets into southern Israel.  http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/05/israelandthepalestinians

In the Congo, http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/congo Rebels led by the renegade Tutsi general Laurent Nkunda clashed with pro-government Mai Mai militia today, threatening a fragile ceasefire around the provincial capital, Goma. The renewed fighting prompted aid groups to suspend efforts to reach ten of thousands of people displaced and starving by previous violence. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/05/congo-aid

What could be worse than Proposition 4, 8, 10,12 or 14?  What is worse than the financial bailouts?  What is worse than reform or taxes?  What could be worse than war?  A nuclear war and  nuclear disaster.

President George Washington has summed it up, “The foundations of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality, and the preeminence of free government be exemplified by all the attributes which can win the affections of its citizens, and command the respect of the world.”

Joe Biden and Joe The Plumber can agree on one thing.  President Obama will be, and is being tested even before his inauguration.

Russia is modernizing its missiles in response to US plans; while Obama in his own words says ” I will cut investments in Defense priorities, unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space.  I will slow our development of future combat systems.   And I will institute an independent “Defense Priorities Board” to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.” http://missilethreat.com/archives/id.7086/detail.asp   There is also a you tube video but embedding has been disabled by Obama for America.

MOSCOW (AP) Oct 22-2008– Russia’s efforts to upgrade its missile arsenals will help counter the planned U.S. missile defense sites in Europe, a top general said Wednesday.  Russia’s Strategic Missile Force chief, Col.-Gen. Nikolai Solovtsov, said the military will commission a new type of intercontinental ballistic missile and modify the existing missiles. Russia has denounced a U.S. plan to deploy a battery of 10 missile interceptors in Poland and a related missile defense radar in the Czech Republic, saying it threatened Russian security. It has dismissed the U.S. claim that the sites were intended to counter a prospective missile threat from Iran and was not aimed against Russia.  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081022/ap_on_re_eu/eu_russia_missiles

http://missilethreat.com/missilesoftheworld/  Countries almost from A-Z have ballistic missiles, from Argentina to Turkey and of course, the United States but Russian officials have threatened to point nuclear missiles at the countries that will allow U.S. missile defense sites on their territory.     May 16, 2008 “President Dmitry Medvedev made his debut as the commander in chief of Russia’s armed forces Thursday, touring a missile base and promising to provide the funding needed for nuclear forces to counter global threats.” http://www.1913intel.com/tag/missile-base/  Russia is ramping up its nuclear forces and Obama wants to reduce funding and encourage Russia to do the same saying that if they negotiate, we won’t have sanctions against them .  Russia does not need the United States.

Under President George Bush deployment of missile defense assets in significant numbers has already begun.  The are already in the ground in Alaska and California and at sea, additional Aegis ships and interceptors have been added, with plans calling for 40 SM-3 interceptors deployed aboard 16 Aegis ships.  Improvements to the command, control, battle management and communications system are being fielded, as well as significant additional radar and communications assets.  From The Army Times http://www.armytimes.com/community/opinion/navy_opinion_missiledefense_070625/Testing is a subject of considerable concern among friends and foes of missile defense. After restructuring its test program in 2005, the MDA had an impressive 13-for-14 record of successful flight tests in 2006. These tests included an Aegis SM-3 intercept of a separating warhead; a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense missile intercept of a unitary target; and, for the first time, an intercept of a threat-representative target with an operational ground-based interceptor using data from an operational early-warning radar along a likely threat trajectory.  As recently as August 2008, the Army reported http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/08/defense_thaad_081208/ Traveling thousands of meters per second, a 20-foot Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptor missile destroyed an advanced, separating warhead dummy target just beneath the 60-mile envelope of the Earth’s atmosphere off the cost of Hawaii during a June test at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kauai.  The test intercept marked the first time the THAAD and Aegis radar systems worked together in a tactical scenario against a separating warhead, Missile Defense Agency officials said”

According to Obama, missile defense is unproven?  13 out of 14 tests were successful hits!

Alaska, home to VP Sarah Palin has three Army Posts Fort Richardson, Fort Wainright and Fort Greely .Army’s Alaska Installation Guide http://mags.aqppublishing.com/showmag.php?mid=srrdr&spid=-2#/page2/ can be found here  and it resembles more of welcome to Alaska Welcome Wagon Publication thatn a Military publication.  The main website http://www.greely.army.mil/sites/local/  Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska is pretty well versed whith what is going on in her state and its relationships between the Armed Forces Group of IMCOM- Installation Management Command and SMDC, Space Missile Defense Command out of Colorado Springs, CO.  I have to believe she has more knowledge than That One, who as a Senator is doubtful to have ever even set foot in Alaska unless it was a fishing trip.

http://www.mda.mil/mdalink/pdf/thirdsite.pdf  list the highlights of the 6th Annual Missile Defense Conference headed by Lt. General Trey Obering, USAF Director on March 31st of 2008.  If Obama gets elected rather than fund Missile Defense, Obama according to his own website on page 12,  Enhance Military to Military Cooperation, Particularly in the Muslim World.  No wonder all of Asia want him to be elected.  http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/Defense_Fact_Sheet_FINAL.pdf

http://mags.aqppublishing.com/showmag.php?mid=srrdr&spid=-2#/page2/  Missile defense seems a fairly reliable, deployable asset in keeping America safe and yet Senator Obama is full of promises to sit down and talk with anyone willingly- with absolutely no preconceived notions that a country could have ulterior motives.  Azerbaijani mentioned he’d like to wipe Israel off the map and. “Ever since the 1991 Gulf War, Syria, Iran, Egypt and Iraq have been struggling to build offensive missile capability in the face of Israel’s growing nuclear arsenal. Israel is estimated to have as many as 400 atomic and hydrogen weapons. The Israeli Air Force has three squadrons equipped with Jericho nuclear-tipped missiles at the Sedot Mikha base, 45 km south of Tel-Aviv. They can reach all major Arab cities, Iran, and Russia. Israel also has a large number of gravity nuclear weapons, possibly including neutron bombs.  http://www.twf.org/News/Y1997/IsraelMissile.html  America also has a base on Isreali soil thanks to an agreement with President Bush.

“The campaigns are sparring over comments by Rev. Jesse Jackson arguing that Barack Obama’s foreign policy will mean an end to “decades of putting Israel’s interests first.” According to a report in the NY Post today, Jackson told an audience at the World Policy Forum in Evian, France last week that the  “Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades” will lose influence under an Obama administration.  “Obama is about change,” Jackson added. “And the change that Obama promises is not limited to what we do in America itself. It is a change of the way America looks at the world and its place in it.” http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/10/14/jackson-zionists-will-lose-influence-under-obama/

Just take another look at who is leading in the Polls  http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/Defense_Fact_Sheet_FINAL.pdf.
