Business as Usual in Vaccine Industry

It is business as usual for the vaccine industry. The Supreme Court heard a case last week that could have destroyed pharmaceutical companies that manufacture vaccines.

On February 22, the court ruled 6-2 to keep the special Vaccine Court system intact. In particular, they ruled against Russell and Robalee Bruesewitz, who were suing for damages on behalf of their daughter Hannah http://genome.fieldofscience.com/2011/02/supreme-court-saves-vaccine-system.html.

You see, in America if you want to sue a vaccine manufacturer you are required to go through special arbitration, in something called The Vaccine Court. Federal law under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 ,

“The majority said that Congress found such a system necessary to ensure that vaccines remain readily available, and that federal regulators are in the best position to decide whether vaccines are safe and properly designed.”- Wapo.

Yep, you read correctly federal regulators are in the best position to make decisions on vaccine safety. There is no tort remedy at all! Too bad if the vaccine was not properly prepared, you have no remediation outside of The Vaccine Court.

Not surprisingly, the anti-vaccine groups like Age of Autism find this appalling,

No amount of reform or vaccination is going to stop viral mutations. It what they do, so why didn’t we all get sick and die from H1N1? Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health, holder of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Medal of Science says,

As luck would have it, earlier this month–

“Feb 17, 2011 (CIDRAP News http://www.cidrap.umn.edu/cidrap/content/influenza/swineflu/news/feb1711strains.html ) – Signaling that the current flu strains are likely to persist over the next several months, the World Health Organization (WHO) today recommended sticking with the current trio of vaccine strains for the Northern Hemisphere’s next influenza season.

The WHO’s vaccine strain advisory committee met on Feb 15 and 16 and released its recommendation on the WHO’s Web site. The group recommends the following for next season’s vaccine:

For the H1N1 component, a strain similar to A/California/7/2009
For the H3N2 component, a strain similar to A/Perth/16/2009
For the B component, a strain similar to B/Brisbane/60/2008-like virus

Each February, WHO experts assess the flu strains circulating throughout the globe before recommending the strains for the Northern Hemisphere’s next seasonal flu vaccine. It takes about 6 months for vaccine manufacturers to grow the viruses in chicken eggs and formulate them into trivalent vaccines.”

In the case of H1N1, it took about month before anyone added up the pieces to notify the public that there was a threat, yet within months we had a vaccine in place.

Across the drink in Ireland, “In its annual report, the Irish Medicines Board (IMB) has revealed that the Swine Flu vaccination has been linked to an increase in adverse reaction reports, with an additional 900 adverse reaction reports this year, reported The Herald.

“The committee agrees that further investigation is warranted concerning narcolepsy and vaccination against influenza (H1N1) 2009 with Pandemrix and other pandemic H1N1 vaccines,” the WHO said, quoted CBS News, which noted that the European Medicines Agency is also looking into the issue, as well. Pandemrix is not being used in the U.S. due to its immune-boosting compound that is not approved in this country.

Significantly, a CBS News Investigation in October 2009 revealed that reports from the U.S. government concerning the Swine Flu Outbreak were significantly overblown and that data from all of the United States indicated that many cases diagnosed as the swine flu were not a flu; the CDC apparently advised doctors to diagnose and count all flu-like illness as swine flu, without testing, added CBS News. http://www.newsinferno.com/pharmaceuticals/swine-flu-shots-lead-to-spike-in-irish-adverse-event-reports/

What? The CDC may have advised doctors to diagnose flu-like symptoms as being H1N1, really imagine that? Because they could, can, did and just might do it again, and there is nothing you can do about it in a court of law in The United States of America.

Health Care Vendetta To Tie Up Bill’s Passage

The Senate-passed bill cleared the House on a 219-212 vote and is now on it’s way to President Obama’s desk for signing.

With an estimated 10-year cost of $894 billion, that comes out to about $2.24 million per word….Republicans aide said a print-out of the bill weighs more than 19 pounds and stands nearly nine inches tall.

How fast can Obama read it? Will he even bother, or just sign it again avoiding the transparency he promised and repeatedly has broken? The legislation still is not posted at http://www.whitehouse.gov/.

The Obama Administration officially abandoned the President’s “Sunlight before Signing” campaign pledge [volokh.com] that the White House would post all legislation passed by Congress for at least five days before the President would sign it. In making this announcement, the Administration maintained that it would comply with the spirit, if not the letter, of the original commitment by posting legislation on the White House site once it became clear legislation would eventually pass and make it to the President’s desk. This new commitment, they suggested, would actually provide even greater sunlight, as some bills would be available for review earlier and for a longer time. To provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans, Harry Reid http://reid.senate.gov/ has ensured that this can never be repealed. From an email we received:

Beginning on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 reads in part: “it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.”

In other words, if President Barack Obama signs this measure into law, no future Senate or House will be able to change a single word of Section 3403, regardless whether future Americans or their representatives in Congress wish otherwise.

Note that the subsection at issue here concerns the regulatory power of the Independent Medicare Advisory Board (IMAB) to “reduce the per capita rate of growth in Medicare spending.”

Will Obama’s Kenyan aunt Zeituni Onyango qualify for universal health care too? Her pre-existing condition of Guillain-Barré syndrome would certainly be covered. Is she still collecting benefits? Wonder where she is living?

This legislation will not fix everything that ails our health care system. But it moves us decisively in the right direction. This is what change looks like.”

Voting For or Against The Bill

The NYTimes http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/03/22/us/politics/20100322-group-vote-chart.html today takes, “A look at some important groups in Sunday’s House vote to pass the health care bill approved by the Senate in December.” It also lists each and everyone of the bastards that voted for this abomination.

President Obama is expected to sign the health care bill Tuesday at the earliest. Only then can the Senate begin dealing with the reconciliation package. According to Senate rules, members are allowed to offer unlimited amendments and challenges to the reconciled bill….Boehner had said the revised health care bill was worse than the original legislation, adding that the “American people are going to hear about every payoff, every kickback and every sweetheart deal that comes out.” http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/03/22/senate.health.care.ahead/

As the Senate still has to sign off on the changes, every single member needs to read the U.S. Constitution, occupying four sheets of parchment, containing 4, 543 words that clearly outline why this piece of legislation is illegal.

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively…

The majority of the American people object, Mr. President.

Just 41% of voters favor the plan while 54% are opposed. Those figures include 26% who Strongly Favor the plan and 45% who are Strongly Opposed. Most voters believe it will raise the cost of health care and reduce the quality of care. Still, nearly two-out-of-three voters believe it is at least somewhat likely to pass and become law.

From a political perspective, 50% of voters are less likely to vote for a Member of Congress who supports the health care reform plan proposed by the President and Congressional Democrats. How can anyone figure out The Heath care Reform Bill when people can’t even figure out the Tax Code?

Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, is irked that nearly 100,000 civilian federal employees owe the IRS $962 million in back taxes. He thinks they should pay up or be fired. Chaffetz has introduced a bill that calls for the federal government to “ferret out” civilian employees who have “seriously delinquent tax debt” and prevent the hiring of other tax delinquents. More than 3 percent of the 2.8 million federal civilian employees owed the Treasury unpaid federal income taxes in 2008, according to the IRS. If you include retirees and military service members, the numbers go from nearly 100,000 up to 276,000 current or former workers who owe $3 billion in taxes. Obtained from the GPO- Government Printing Office, as of April 1st 2009, 14,872 pages of tax code. It is over 24 times longer than the King James version of the Bible at 608 pages. Over 11 times longer than War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy-1296 pages. It’s 20 volumes are about 5 feet thick! Laying the pages end to end it would be over 2.5 miles The average reader would take 31 days of non stop reading to read all of the tax codes.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and numerous other politicians can’t figure out the tax code. Do you really think regulators can find a way, let alone to comprehend it’s meaning to find a means of enforcement and overhaul of the health care reform bill?

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has yet to publish the impact of the passage of the health reform bill in full on its web page at http://www.cbo.gov/publications/bysubject.cfm?cat=9 The CBO and Joint Committee on Taxation (CT) did manage a five page preliminary estimate of spending and revenue effects at http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/113xx/doc11355/hr4872.pdf

The CBO and JTC read the entire 2,000 or so pages and managed to sum up the cost in five pages? Oh, bull crap and Director Douglas W. Elmendorf four-year term began on January 22, 2009 has admitted as much, saying:

Although CBO completed a preliminary review of legislative language prior to its release, the agency has not thoroughly examined the reconciliation proposal to verify its consistency with the previous draft. This estimate is therefore preliminary, pending a review of the language of the reconciliation proposal, as well as further review and refinement of the budgetary projections.

The reconciliation proposal includes provisions related to health care and revenues, many of which would amend H.R. 3590; those provisions account for most of the budgetary impact of the proposal. It also includes amendments to the Higher Education Act of 1965, which authorizes most federal programs involving postsecondary education; the education provisions account for net outlay savings of about $19 billion over the 2010-2019 period. http://cboblog.cbo.gov/?p=508

Even the CBO has not had time to read it, let alone calculate it’s cost. What happened to Obama promising transparency?

CNN and everyone but Fox claimed we were saving millions while reducing the deficit. You sure I can’t sell you and Easy Bake oven? It works, really!

Yes, there are millions of Americans who support health care reform, but almost all the polls we’ve seen show that the majority of Americans do not support this huge burden that is laden with pork and educational reform.

Folks, this is the same government that said, “Just get the damned vaccine.”

America’s spent $1.5 billion for the 250 million swine flu vaccines. We recommend reading the Bible instead of reading the tax or the healthcare bill; encouraging you to pray this bill fails to garner enough votes. As for Rep. Dennis Kucinich , D-Ohio (voted suck ass of the week by Ahrcanum) announced his House vote as a yes for believing in President Obama’s deluded vision that this bill works. He’ll be praying for a job come next election. So will a whole lot of other Democrats. Throw Louise Slaughter in the mix for proposing the “Slaughter Solution” while we’re at it. The Slaughter of The Constitution, Health Care Reform

Members of the U.S. House of Representatives have never before been asked to pass legislation by “deeming” it approved under a House rule instead of following the process required by the U.S. Constitution in which they actually vote on the proposal itself, according to a senior aide to House Republicans.

The procedure – dubbed by critics as the “Slaughter Solution” – is the brain-child of House Rules Committee Chairman Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-NY, who, at the request of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, is trying to fashion a rule that would allow the House to move toward passage of a health care reform bill without a recorded vote on the Senate version. The desire to pass health care reform by the democrats and President Obama has become so overwhelming, they are now willing to violate the laws of the U.S. Constitution! Should we be surprised? Obama still has not produced a birth certificate proving once and for all he is or is not a natural born citizen, as the Constitution requires.

Should this legislation be enacted with out a recorded vote in the Senate, certainly, or should I say hopefully someone would see this injustice taken to the Supreme Court. Needless to say, the Supremes are not happy having been bashed publicly on their decision to allow campaign contributions by businesses, Obama called out his displeasure during The State of the Union Address. Paybacks are a bitch.

How low can Slaughter and Pelosi go to want something that the majority of the people in America do not, to abandon the laws which they were sworn to uphold?

Levin should not stop at seeking the expulsion of Slaughter, but Pelosi and any other elected official that finds this means of passing legislation acceptable. Hold the lot of them in contempt of the Constitution, intentionally participating in a high crime, for being treasonous and neglectful in their duty to represent, “…of the people, by the people, and for the people. ”

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed;

Slaughter does not have ” just power” from the consent of anyone but herself, and democratic allies.

Is it ironic that the definition of slaughter means to kill? She is killing the Constitution. These people can’t even create jobs, let alone be responsible for health care.

48 out of 50 States Have Lost Jobs Since Democrats’ Stimulus Passed. Only North Dakota, Alaska and the D.C. have seen net job creation since stimulus. The way abortions are covered under health care reform is a major obstacle to finalizing the legislation, even though the House and Senate both agree that no federal money should be used. The Catholic bishops fired off another letter to the U.S. Senate last night urging opposition to the Democratic healthcare bill poised to pass tomorrow. Winter Solstice 2009, Senate Has Votes for Health Care

2009 Pontiac Solstice Concept Car

It is almost official that Winter is here. The ground has been frozen for sometime and the flurries have been flying. At 12:47 today Winter Solstice 2009 begins officially. It is also the shortest day of the year. The word solstice derives from Latin, Winter Solstice meaning Sun set still in winter and usually associated with a time of rebirth with celebrations like Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, festivals of light, etc. We even got invited to a Solstice Party, since it is no longer correct to say or celebrate Christmas. Gag me, we sent our regrets.

We’ve been going to bed when it is dark and waking up when it is dark so the idea that the days will now begin to get longer, gives us hope that spring will eventually return. Too bad we will probably never see this Solstice concept car on the roads free of snow, gravel and salt. The Pontiac division of GM has been shuttered along with any future plans to make this vehicle.

Today’s Solstice chart shows a tight conjunction of the Sun to Pluto, planet of death and rebirth, suggesting that something will end during this period and something born anew. Because Pluto is still widely challenging Saturn in a square formation this change and transformation will likely not come easily. Unfortunately, that which is being surrendered is your personal choice in health care as the Senate has enough votes to pass sweeping, pork laden legislation. The evolution of government run health programs is laughable considering social security, medicaid, medicare, etc., are already nearly broke. The government also owns 61% of General Motors- the future is still out on that investment. Our debt is in the trillions and the government accounting office is setting off alarm bells at the cost of free health care. Throw in the fact that President Obama’s cap n crap bill, the land management bill that will give the government control of not just navigable waters- but puddles in your yard, and a future climate change treaty, it is enough to ruin any one’s Solstice Party. Can anyone think of anything at all that the government does not have a hand in?

While there are still people who believe global warming and climate change is man made, much of the world is digging out from massive snow storms. Valdez, Alaska got almost 6 feet of snow, the last couple of days buried most of the northeast and “The heaviest snowfall and extremely cold weather for years has brought much of the U.K. and Europe to a standstill in the last couple of day’s, five trains where stranded in the Channel tunnel and thousands of weather related accidents have been reported and thousands of travellers are stranded waiting for cancelled flights! via http://gazbom.blogspot.com/2009/12/severe-winter-arrives-in-northern.html?spref=tw. We got an email from Target letting us know due to the weather it was extending is hours to 7 am – midnight to accommodate last minute capitalists.

Use the energy of the number 3 to bring yourself into alignment with Spirit, and the energy of the number to build and give structure which is needed at this time.”

What is really needed is to vote out our elected officials and start with a clean bill of health. For the record, not one Republican voted for this health care bill.

The elections are far off. In the meantime you might as well celebrate Solstice and have a Merry Christmas while your at it.

Presidential Tracking Polls, Obama Down – Fox and God Thumbs Up

CNN is not reporting that President Obama’s poll numbers are dropping into negative territory, but Rasmussen is.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16. The love affair with “That One,” seems to be ending. The vision of Hope and Change he campaigned on, did not allude to emptying the change out of every citizen’s pocketbook. President Obama’s negative numbers are like so many Americans personal finances- heading into negative territory and debt.

Most voters think health care reform is something the federal government should be addressing, but they don’t like the plan that’s working its way through Congress. In fact, only 41% support it now, marking the lowest extended period of support for the plan yet. CNN and the networks remain faithful in the love affair with the President. He did just receive the Nobel Peace Prize, negotiate (without congressional authority I might add) a deal at the U.N. Climate Change meeting in Copenhagen, a speech on the economy pre-empting Charlie Brown, and reiterated our commitment to Afghanistan by offering another 30,000 U.S. troops.

With so much accomplished in one week, wouldn’t you think the trending numbers would be skyrocketing in his approval rating? What is bad for the President is apparently good for Fox News. Fox is seeing huge increase in ratings because many Americans do not like how, and where the President is leading the nation. Are so many Americans coming to think like Rush Limbaugh in that they want him to fail so he will not be re-elected? How will this bode for the Republicans and conservatives next year?

Voters were misled that Obama, “That One,” was the One to lead us towards solving not only America but the world’s problem. He is no Messiah, and heaven forbid if the current health care reform bill passes. Likely, there are more words in it than in the Bible. The Bible being the best selling book on earth is also the one book that most people have never read and like the bill, most won’t read every word of it either.

Thinking about the Bible, it would appear God’s polling numbers are up. For most Americans, the December holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year. According to the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, 52% consider the holidays joyous, a five-point jump in joy since last year at this time.

The vast majority (86%) of Americans say they will be celebrating Christmas this year. Four percent (4%) will observe Hanukkah, three percent (3%) will celebrate Winter Solstice or Yule, and one percent (1%) will take part in some other religious observance.

In the meantime, The White House will be mailing Holiday Cards, rather than Christmas Cards.

I wonder if anyone at the White House will remember these images for use in the holiday cards from the leader of the free world, and current resident at the White House?

On the bright side at least he isn’t spending our tax dollars on a trip on AirForce One. We need every dime with him spending a trillion dollars or so on a health care reform trip that will put every U.S citizen down a path of further economic distress and give government more power.

Tonight the president will meet with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office. We wonder if they are going to talk about Germany- post the Nazi regime that killed millions during the Holocaust? Will they talk of the similar wall and fences that separate Palestinians and Israelis? The Israeli West-Bank barrier, “separation (hafrada) fence” is a barrier being constructed by the State of Israel, consisting of a network of fences with vehicle-barrier trenches surrounded by an on average 60 meter wide exclusion area (90%) and high concrete walls up to 8 meters high. David Fedson, Former Director of Medical Affairs, Aventis Pasteur MSD and a former consultant to the World Health Organization, said in a September interview with CFR- The Council on Foreign Relations:

H1N1, or so-called swine flu virus, has not disappointed us at all. It’s now in virtually every country of the world and managed to make that move in just a matter of a couple of months. After six weeks or so, it became quite evident that overall, the effects of infection in populations were rather mild, and in general no more severe than a seasonal [flu]. What we’ve seen is a mild illness overall that’s infecting a very large number of people and communities in a rather short period of time.

What we’ve been witness to, is how good the propaganda machine called government heathcare is in America. The World Health Organization and the World’s health experts knew that H1N1 was no more severe than the seasonal flu, but forgot to tell anyone.

America’s reaction was to spend $1.5 billion for the 250 million swine flu vaccines that the government has ordered so far and will be distributing free to doctors, pharmacies and schools. As to what to do with the left over flu shots, the ingredients in the vaccine probably qualify as hazardous waste. Spending money in the name of research is one thing; spending tax dollars hazzardly on a vaccine that may not work according to the patient inserts and after the fact, is quite another.

The U.S. governments plan to, “just get your damned shot,” is costing taxpayers billions.

As always with pandemic flu’s, taxpayers are footing the $1.5 billion check for the 250 million swine flu vaccines that the government has ordered so far and will be distributing free to doctors, pharmacies and schools. The Free Flu Shots that are being distributed cost taxpayers a whopping $600 each! There are about 307 million people in the United States, http://www.census.gov/main/www/popclock.html . Current vaccine distribution leaves roughly 57 million or about 18% of the population in the U.S. without access to the H1N1 Influenza Monovalent Vaccine.

Americans, by and large are skeptics and self-select whether or not to get any kind of vaccine. The evidence that vaccines may do more harm than good has become the topic at the water cooler and here. Children get 55 vaccines, and most of the adult population has had numerous inoculations. You only have to look at your arm as a reminder of the polio vaccine and the scar it left behind.

When it comes to the seasonal and Swine Flu shots, parents would be negligent not to worry about a virus that has caused hospitalization and death of both adults and children. As to whether parents are negligent in giving their child yet another vaccine, time will tell. We hope the last government Swine Flu Vaccination program from 1976 is not a precursor to what we can expect to see in the future. If parents do not want a seasonal or Swine Flu for their children, most likely they won’t be getting one either. Parents and all taxpayers will pay for those who do get the shot. Could you use a could use the $600 in your pocket? How about a Flu Rebate instead of a Flu Tax? Don’t you just love government run health care so far?

Certainly, this has been revised but good luck finding a more recent copy.

The printing presses are busy enough printing money and they are going to get busier. In pure English, if you can’t acclimate to an English speaking America, you should not be entitled to anything.

How much health care reform is going cost is any one’s guess. If $600 in taxpayer money is being paid for a flu shot, you don’t have to be on pins and needles to know that it won’t be cheap.
