President Obama has just reaffirmed what the main stream media has tried to hide all along, he is anti-capitalist. On the campaign trail saying, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that,” feeds his belief that small business needs the federal government’s help to prosper. Is it really a plan to bring down the system by overwhelming our economy with debt and crisis? Wayne Root thinks so with scathing remarks in his Root For America Blog. http://www.rootforamerica.com/webroot/blog/
I think it’s now safe to say Obama has come out of the closet. Either he’s a Marxist hell bent on demonizing wealthy business owners and destroying capitalism, or perhaps he’s high on that drug he enjoyed so much in his youthful days…
Government isn’t a savior or saint. Government is the mafia. They are organized crime with the weight of the law behind them. And under Obama, they are hell bent on turning public sentiment against all of us who own businesses, destroying America’s belief in capitalism, and redistributing our incomes until our businesses are crippled, or out of business. Then government is our only place to turn. That much is now clear after a 48 hour rampage by our President.
If we are to save this economy, capitalism, our jobs, and this country…one thing is crystal clear- Obama must go.
Obama’s overall approval rating, with nearing the critical 50 percent barrier, stands currently at 46 percent, according to the daily Gallup tracking poll. The New York Times puts Obama’s approval at 44 percent. Are you telling me that half of America supports a President that says, “you didn’t build that?” Yep, and there in is another huge problem in that some Americans are still drinking the kool-aid of hope and change.
On the spectrum Romney comes off a stuffed shirt, but at least he is not stuffing government down our throat at every turn. Even John Sununo, has proclaimed The Obama campaign is a “bunch of liars.” Adding, “I am shocked that the president introduced the word ‘felon’ into the political discourse.” http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/sununu-obama-campaign-bunch-liars-162012671.html
Turn to the Obama-Holder involvement in, “Operation Fast and Furious.” President Obama has placed himself in the middle of the cover-up claiming, “executive-privilege,” allowing him to withhold documents from the congressional investigators. A The Department of Justice it would seem is taking its time until after the November election to disclose findings. We were taught in history class that the client government is supposed to serve is the American people. How are we being served when 2,000 guns were given to deadly Mexican drug cartels?
Along with his college transcripts, birth certificate madness, his sealed testimony in the Blago/Retzko trails, Fast and Furious is just one more piece of the transparency pie to choke on. We the people are being served a plate of bull.
Even if the Romney camp misspelled America in its campaign, at least they know America is in fact exceptional. It’s not government that builds things, it’s individuals. It’s too bad half the population needs reminding of that.
Stay tuned and have a good day, one day it will be your last. God Bless.

We much prefer Assange, our international man of mystery to look like James Bond of double oh seven fame, but for better or worse we are presented with the looks and likes of and eccentric looking Assange.
The grass is always greener when there are no sides, eh? Love him or hate him, he has chosen to piss off a whole bunch of people and opened a lot of people eyes to the doings of politics in releasing classified documents on Wikileaks. Can anyone recall the name of the soldier who supposedly gave up the information in the first place?
From a November 30, 2010 Time magazine interview, Assange said:
Now for the United States, its government actually has more information available to it than any other government. And so it is already in a symmetric position. I think this disclosure of diplomatic information, which is often third-hand, will allow people to understand more clearly these sort of broad activities of the U.S. State Department, which acts not, of course, in the interest of the U.S. people but in the interest of the State Department. Read more: http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,2034040-2,00.html#ixzz16tZDs3B8
Not in the interest of the people? We wonder just which people he is referring to and which special interest would be better served? Would he like to see more or less of a socialistic government, in the name of the people?
The introduction includes this quote from Theodore Roosevelt, “Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.”
No wonder Atlas Shrugged is back on the best seller lists! And no wonder Assange has pissed so many off. Are we crying foul at the message or the messenger?
But, the big news on Assange isn’t that he has been detained but that there is more to come. A MoneyScience tweet: According to this interview with Julian Assange WikiLeaks’ next target will be a major American bank. http://bit.ly/gMOZia.
Hmmm the government runs the people, the banks, and what else? Is it any wonder that the Pentagon and Interpol are looking for him to shut him up? I wonder if the Rockefeller family knows his wearabouts? Maybe his attorney, who is also rumored to be representing George Soros, knows?

How embarrassing that this country elected President Obama. I don’t care for the white part of him or the black part. Throw the race card right out the window. I do find it admirable that voters can see past a persons color, and disgraceful that they couldn’t see what Joe The Plumber warned of the socialistic tendencies coming down the pike. I don’t mean those stupid Recovery Signs down the Turnpike either.
Will Ahrcanum and similar web sites now be black listed by Google and the government new Internet police for saying I disagree with the President? Should I fire myself for expressing my opinion? Does that constitute an Internet Crime? http://www.cyberlawenforcement.org/
From day one, President Obama’s campaign was an orchestrated masterful manipulation of the press and continues to this day, as the Administration seems to be working towards an all out government run media including the Internet. Transparency my ass.
The right to free speech, the communication of ideas and opinions has its history in numerous documents. John Locke established the individual as the unit of value and the bearer of rights to life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness. It is supposed to be the role of Government to protect these rights, not take them away. The First Amendment to the Constitution states, “Congress shall make no law… abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press”.
You have to take your chances on the repercussions of having free speech though. Can’t be yelling “Fire” in a theatre and common decency kind of things. Helen Thomas broke protocol when sharing her personal views that the Jews in Israel should go home. In response, she was forced into retirement as a columnist for the Hearst News Service. http://religionclause.blogspot.com/2010/06/helen-thomas-dean-of-white-house-press.html.
Gen. Stanley McChrystal, a former black ops leader and commander of US and NATO forces in Afghanistan couldn’t keep his opinion to himself either. Even prior to the Rolling Stone article put the end to his career, [sic, previous] “remarks earned him a smackdown from the president himself, who summoned the general to a terse private meeting aboard Air Force One. The message to McChrystal seemed clear: Shut the fuck up, and keep a lower profile.” http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/17390/119236
McChrystal may have been unimpressed with the commander-in-chief from the start, but the General worked for him. Not always smart to disrespect the boss. The President on the other hand, is supposed to work for you and I and defend the Constitution, not against us or it.
Fighting homegrown terrorism by monitoring Internet communications is a civil liberties trade-off the U.S. government must make to beef up national security, the nation’s homeland security chief said Friday.
I buy the nation’s security plea, not the censorship Kool-Aid sale. Not withstanding, I still hate referring to America as The Homeland. Is there some sort of global conspiracy to limit free speech and on-line discussion? There are Internet censorship bills in Australia, the U.K., and the U.S. with more to come. Say nothing of the black holes where there is no Internet at all.
Will America Turn into the Black Hole of The Internet?
By a 3-2 vote, the FCC on June 16 — under the chairmanship of Julius “Caesar” Genachowski — moved the agency toward the power to regulate the transmission component of broadband Internet service. Genachowski — Obama’s Harvard law classmate — thus sets the table for regulating the Internet under rules that were written for the telephone company in the thirties. http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/vernon/100712
The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) has received fleeting public attention, yet it has been quietly evolving for a number of years. On it’s face ACTA is described as a countermeasure directed at the rise of counterfeit goods, medicines and pirated copyright protected material, including “piracy over the Internet”.
If officially ratified, however, ACTA would mark the formation of a major new global legal infrastructure with relation to standards on intellectual property rights enforcement. It would also see the formation of an international governing body to oversee implementation of the agreement. http://truth11.com/2010/07/12/acta-flagship-of-the-growing-internet-censorship-armada/
Obama Administration regulatory czar Cass Sunstein is on the record in support of the latest in a series of proposals to regulate political speech on the net.
“The site’s of one point of view agree to provide links to sites of the other point of view. So if you’re reading a conservative magazine, they would provide a link to a liberal site. And vice versa, just to make it easy for people to access to competing views. Or maybe a popup on your screen that would show you an advertisement or maybe even a quick argument for a competing view
Government mandates for the Internet? In his book Democracy and the Problem of Free Speech Sunstein says there is a need to reformulate First Amendment law. And recall Sunstein, ” has a secret aim to push a radical animal-rights agenda in the White House. Sunstein supports outlawing sport hunting, giving animals the legal right to file lawsuits, and using government regulations to phase out meat consumption. http://www.prweb.com/releases/Cass-Sunstein/Animal-Rights/prweb1868134.htm
No steak dinner, no unrestricted Internet? Pop up ads for a competing point of view? Rewrite the First Amendment? Where’s Ted Nugent when you need him?
Discussions, bills and laws like The Fairness Doctrine and Net Neutrality aren’t going away anytime soon.
There is some hope for keeping the First Amendment in tact and further limiting big brother with the Enumerated Powers Act that requires that each bill cite its authority under the Constitution. http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-s1319/show The sad thing about this bill is that it takes a bill or legislation to remind our elected officials to do something they should have been doing all along- you know, a little something called upholding the Constitution to which they were elected to and swore an oath to support and defend.
Oh that’s right, the President is after all a Constitutional Lawyer, I think. I’ve never seen his diploma or birth certificate for that matter but numerous times he has made reference that the Constitution does not address social inequities.
DC Downsizer Michael Mitchell of Alaska compiled this list from Article I of the U.S. Constitution. These are all the powers that the Congress has-
When it comes to governments restricting the Internet I am reminded of George Carlin’s, “Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television”. Today, I take the opportunity to write: Shit, Piss, Fuck, Cunt, Cocksucker, Motherfucker, and Tits, just because I still can. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_dirty_words
How’s that for freedom of speech and freedom of religion too? Now I have to go to confession to saying and writing those dirty words.

How can anyone figure out The Heath care Reform Bill when people can’t even figure out the Tax Code?
Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, is irked that nearly 100,000 civilian federal employees owe the IRS $962 million in back taxes. He thinks they should pay up or be fired. Chaffetz has introduced a bill that calls for the federal government to “ferret out” civilian employees who have “seriously delinquent tax debt” and prevent the hiring of other tax delinquents. More than 3 percent of the 2.8 million federal civilian employees owed the Treasury unpaid federal income taxes in 2008, according to the IRS. If you include retirees and military service members, the numbers go from nearly 100,000 up to 276,000 current or former workers who owe $3 billion in taxes. Writes, http://thewere42.wordpress.com/2010/03/19/tax-scam-uncle-sam-you-oughta-be-fired-says-utah-rep-chaffetz/
How many pages of tax code are there?
Title 26 contains all the Federal IRS CODE.
Title 26 contains 20 Volumes.
All 20 volumes contain a total of 14,872 pages of tax code.
All 20 volumes weight in at 35 Pounds
All 20 volumes cost $1,080.00
Obtained from the GPO- Government Printing Office, as of April 1st 2009, 14,872 pages of tax code. It is over 24 times longer than the King James version of the Bible at 608 pages. Over 11 times longer than War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy-1296 pages. It’s 20 volumes are about 5 feet thick! Laying the pages end to end it would be over 2.5 miles The average reader would take 31 days of non stop reading to read all of the tax codes.
How many pages in the Health Care Reform Bill?
It too runs more pages than War and Peace, has nearly five times as many words as the Torah, and its tables of contents alone run far longer than this story…it clocks in at 1,990 pages and about 400,000 words. With an estimated 10-year cost of $894 billion, that comes out to about $2.24 million per word….Republicans aide said a print-out of the bill weighs more than 19 pounds and stands nearly nine inches tall. North Carolina Republican Rep. Patrick McHenry, 34 years old and a few inches taller than 5 feet, said the bill could act as a ”booster seat.” …Asked why the House will vote on the roughly 400,000-word bill in a week when it takes a congregation a year to read the 80,000-word Torah at a synagogue, Rothman, who is Jewish, exhibited the wisdom of a Talmudic scholar.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and numerous other politicians can’t figure out the tax code. Do you really think regulators can find a way, let alone to comprehend it’s meaning to find a means of enforcement and overhaul of the health care reform bill?
Douglas W. Elmendorf, director of the Congressional Budget Office
The CBO and JTC read the entire 2,000 or so pages and managed to sum up the cost in five pages? Oh, bull crap and Director Douglas W. Elmendorf four-year term began on January 22, 2009 has admitted as much, saying:
Although CBO completed a preliminary review of legislative language prior to its release, the agency has not thoroughly examined the reconciliation proposal to verify its consistency with the previous draft. This estimate is therefore preliminary, pending a review of the language of the reconciliation proposal, as well as further review and refinement of the budgetary projections.
The reconciliation proposal includes provisions related to health care and revenues, many of which would amend H.R. 3590; those provisions account for most of the budgetary impact of the proposal. It also includes amendments to the Higher Education Act of 1965, which authorizes most federal programs involving postsecondary education; the education provisions account for net outlay savings of about $19 billion over the 2010-2019 period. http://cboblog.cbo.gov/?p=508
Even the CBO has not had time to read it, let alone calculate it’s cost. What happened to Obama promising transparency?
CNN and everyone but Fox claimed we were saving millions while reducing the deficit. You sure I can’t sell you and Easy Bake oven? It works, really!
“Initial analyses have already raised a number of concerns with the bill, particularly with regard to the tricks used to give the impression that the bill’s total cost actually fits within the guidelines imposed by the administration,” wrote Reason at http://reason.com/blog/2009/10/30/900-billion-house-health-care
Yes, there are millions of Americans who support health care reform, but almost all the polls we’ve seen show that the majority of Americans do not support this huge burden that is laden with pork and educational reform.
Folks, this is the same government that said, “Just get the damned vaccine.”
We recommend reading the Bible instead of reading the tax or the healthcare bill; encouraging you to pray this bill fails to garner enough votes. As for Rep. Dennis Kucinich , D-Ohio (voted suck ass of the week by Ahrcanum) announced his House vote as a yes for believing in President Obama’s deluded vision that this bill works. He’ll be praying for a job come next election. So will a whole lot of other Democrats. Throw Louise Slaughter in the mix for proposing the “Slaughter Solution” while we’re at it. See ya, wouldn’t want to be ya.
The Declaration of Independence is 1337 words long. The U.S. Constituion, that occupies four sheets of parchment has 4, 543 words. You ought to read it sometime to see how President Obama is destroying it.

The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement negotiations continue in a few hours as Seoul, Korea plays host to the latest round of talks. The governments have posted the meeting agenda, which unsurprisingly focuses on the issue of Internet enforcement [UPDATE 11/4: Post on discussions for day two of ACTA talks, including the criminal enforcement provisions]. The United States has drafted the chapter under enormous secrecy, with selected groups granted access under strict non-disclosure agreements and other countries (including Canada) given physical, watermarked copies designed to guard against leaks.http://www.michaelgeist.ca/content/view/4510/125/
WTF? Wake up, there is no transparency and we are about to be held to a standard that almost prohibits free speech. As an author, we do our best to provide proper credits for anything we cite as a source. We would hope that spammers and authentic writers do the same for us, and usually they do for fear of being held accountable in a lawsuit. Click on the disclosure tab at the top to see how we have tried to cover our a$$.
“On the international front, it provides firm confirmation that the treaty is not a counterfeiting trade, but a copyright treaty.”
“A U.S.-drafted chapter on Internet use would require ISPs to police user-generated content, to cut off Internet access for copyright violators, and to remove content that is accused of copyright violation without any proof of actual violation. The chapter also completely prohibits DRM workarounds, even for archiving or retrieving one’s own work.” writes http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/copyright_treaty_leaked_trouble_for_isps_and_in.php
In the U.S. you are innocent until proven guilty, but this may usurp everything you have ever learned about properly citing your sources and in the process limit your free speech. Say nothing of fines and threats of imprisonment.
The leaks suggest that countries who sign up to the U.S promoted plan would have to force ISPs to proactively police copyright on user-generated content, cut off those accused (or face liability), and put “graduated response” clauses in customer contracts. An example of a graduated response is France’s “three strikes and you’re out” law. There, you get two warnings if caught sharing music or movies, then you’re banned for up to two years. http://gizmodo.com/5396757/secret-copyright-treaty-details-leak-isps-worldwide-to-become-copyright-cops
Two years without the Internet? Tsk, tsk- as if someone who broke copyright law couldn’t walk into an Internet cafe in Paris, Korea, Russia or the middle of butt fcuk Egypt to log on. Good luck with that enforcement. $hit, America can’t keep the illegal immigrants out and we are expected to believe in the Internet police? We still believe in Santa, because if you don’t believe- you don’t receive.
Just how much control does President Obama seek? Prohibiting free speech further erodes every citizen’s right and enhances government control over yet another aspect of our life.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the House Health Care bill would cost $894 billion over 10 years and extend insurance coverage to 36 million, covering 96 percent of Americans. This morning, Speaker Nancy Pelosi will unveil(ed) the re-tooled Affordable Health Care for America Act (HR 3962). (Read the bill HERE.) with props to http://wonkroom.thinkprogress.org/2009/10/29/details-house/ who notes that the legislation on the floor next week, with a final vote before “Veterans Day,” November 11th. At the moment, “House Democrats do not have firm commitment from enough lawmakers to guarantee passage of their bill.” One whip count has shown 23 centrist Democrats intend to vote against any health bill. Assuming that all Republicans vote against it, the bill can lose at least 38 Democrats and still pass the chamber.
From The Republican address on health care, delivered by Dr. Charles Boustany (R-LA) following President Obama’s speech to a Joint Session of Congress-
I read the bill Democrats passed through committee in July. It creates 53 new government bureaucracies, adds hundreds of billions to our national debt, and raises taxes on job-creators by $600 billion. And, it cuts Medicare by $500 billion, while doing virtually nothing to make the program better for our seniors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkbZByZCvKU
Pretty lame that you have to dig through the site for the last health care republican response while Harry Reid, a democrat is right on the ball and front and center at in a new Web video posted Thursday, making the case for a public health insurance option and appeals to voters across the country to contact Washington to “push hard” for its inclusion in the final bill. Read more at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/29/reid-calls-on-americans-c_n_339054.html. If nothing else, Democrats have mastered the use of the Internet and every social bookmarking site in existence while with the exception of a few individuals GOP Republicans most certainly are lazy and inept.
“I’m asking you to believe, Not just in my ability, to bring about real change in Washington…I am asking you to believe in yours,” President Barack Obama. We are coming to believe President Obama’s changes are critical to future of America and her sovereignty and we are not alone-
The narrative of a President who is too pliable has been growing in volume since the summer, much to the chagrin of the White House. Nor is it coming only from the right. There are those on the left who feel let down by Obama and are infuriated by his “political pragmatism”. They object, for instance, when he refuses to push aggressively for the so-called “public option” to compete with private insurers in a new health care system, or when he declines to meet with the Dalai Lama in Washington because his agenda with China is more important to him. They even don’t like it when he brushes off a member of Congress openly calling him a liar as being unimportant.http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/obama-twelve-months-on-the-star-falls-back-to-earth-1811148.html
In true transparency of government Politico points out the contents of the bill with text like –
“(a) Outpatient Hospitals – (1) In General – Section 1833(t)(3)(C)(iv) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395(t)(3)(C)(iv)) is amended – (A) in the first sentence – (i) by inserting “(which is subject to the productivity adjustment described in subclause (II) of such section)” after “1886(b)(3)(B)(iii); and (ii) by inserting “(but not below 0)” after “reduced”; and (B) in the second sentence, by inserting “and which is subject, beginning with 2010 to the productivity adjustment described in section 1886(b)(3)(B)(iii)(II)”.
Adding more wasted taxpayer dollars- the U.S. has spent $1.5 billion for the 250 million swine flu vaccines that the government has ordered so far and will be distributing free to doctors, pharmacies and schools. In addition, Congress has set aside more than $10 billion this year to research flu viruses, monitor H1N1’s progress and educate the public about prevention. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/big-business-swine-flu/Story?id=8820642&page=1 Hopefully with good intention, the program has resulted in the fact most 1 out of 5 children have already had H1N1 Swine and the vast majority of vaccines will not be available until after the Swine Flu Season has peaked- https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/10/28/swine-flu-vaccines-unused-government-healthcare-wakeup-call/
The once Indonesian Muslim boy named Barry Soetoro, now know as President Obama- the 5oth President of The United States of America, continues to haunt concerned citizens and the State of Hawaii with his birth certificate status.
Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Secretary of Health for the State of Hawaii, issued another public statement on the issue of the validity of the Certification of Live Birth the Hawaii Department of Health issued to President Obama in 2007, hoping to stem a recent surge in the number of inquiries about Obama’s birthplace.
“I … have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen,” Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. “I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago.”http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090728/ap_on_re_us/us_obama_birth_certificate
Rush Limbaugh, CNN’s Lou Dobbs and a lot of birther blogs haven’t put the issue to rest, nor should they. The release of the statement offers no new information, only a continuance of failed transparency in government.
“Going forward, anytime the American people want to know something that I or a former president wants to withhold, we will have to consult with the Attorney General and the white house counsel, whose business it is to ensure compliance with the rule of law. Information will not be withheld just because I say so; it will be withheld because a separate authority believes my request is well-grounded in the Constitution. Let me say it as simply as I can: transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency,“http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/news/2009/01/remarks_by_the_president_welcoming_senior_staff_an.php
What separate authority believes the electors don’t have the right of proof of a birth certificate in that our President meets the qualifications? Take a guess…
NWO, IMF, WB,Illuminati, DNC, Rothschild ????? So much for complying with the law of the natural born citizen clause eh, Mr. President?
In adulthood and in childhood you pick a side and hope you win; you choose your favorite sports team and cheer for them. The U.S. governement under Obama, is rooting for the whole world in negotiations and the U.S. taxpayers is fighting a loosing battle.
As an NRA badge carrying, conservative Republican, it would be a cold day in hell before I sent the Democrats one red cent of my money. America can’t always get what it wants, but by supporting two sides of a battle, it puts us in the middle where we are most likely get run over.
Billions of dollars has been poured into the Mideast and you know what? Most of the citizens and governments love our money, but hate America. The jihadists will stop at nothing and what does America do, send more money!
“U.S. Transfers $200 Million in Aid to Palestinian Authority, Clinton Says.
The United States has transferred $200 million in aid for the Palestinian people, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Friday. The money was part of the assistance package announced at an international donors conference in March. Clinton, who spoke after returning from a visit to India and Thailand, said the money had been transferred directly to the Palestinian Authority. She said that she had been assured that President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad “have put in place the foundations of a responsible, transparent, accountable government.” This had been verified, she said, by the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and internal reviews.
Financing both sides of this battle, especially when our own economy lies in tatters is near traitorous. To think that either side, or even that America has a “responsible, transparent, accountable government” borders on being laughable, but it is not funny. Clinton also said, ” the United States would continue to engage Israel and the Palestinians in peace talks and press for a two-state solution, and called on the rest of the world to help boost the Palestinian economy.” Humph. How about someone sending a check to America? Maybe paying back the U.S. Taxpayer for WWI and WWII. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/4757181.stm
Last I heard, The Palestinian Authority (Hamas) is classified by the United States as a terrorist organization.
I’m all for peace in an idealistic world. But, the world is filled with leaders who to torturous things to its own citizens and hold the threat of nuclear war out like the golden carrot to get more U.S. Dollars. Still we try to place nice in the world even though North Korea’s government-controlled KCNA news agency suggested that ‘she [sic Clinton] is by no means intelligent’. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1201630/Playground-scrap-Hilary-Clinton-says-North-Korea-friends-primary-schoolgirl.html Yet, we will continue to negotiate not only with NK but other states defined once, as members of the Axis of Evil.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said Saturday the country would strike Israel’s nuclear facilities if Tel Aviv attacked the Islamic state, Reuters reported state television as saying “If the Zionist Regime (Israel) attacks Iran, we will surely strike its nuclear facilities with our missile capabilities,” Mohammad Ali Jafari, Guards commander-in-chief, said. Jafari said Israel was entirely within the reach of Iran. “Our missile capability puts all of the Zionist regime (Israel) within Iran’s reach to attack,” Jafari said. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,534800,00.html
Clinton said this week a nuclear Iran could be contained by a U.S. “defense umbrella,” setting off tremors in the Middle East. Since making the remark on a television chat show in Thailand, Clinton has backpedaled, saying she was only restating existing policy and not referring to any sort of formal guarantees of protection under an American “nuclear umbrella.”
Will we ballyhoo the doctrine of “preemption” in negotiations? Mr. President Obama- yet another test for you. Perhaps both Clinton and Biden could shush for just a day.
How intelligent is our foreign policy when the chickens continue to try to cross the road from Israel, the fence stops them from laying eggs on the other side in Palestine- while Iran threatens to make a scrambled mess of the entire region?
While George Bush may not be a saint, but Obama is looking more and more like a sinner- spending more than any other President in history. The National Debt was $10.6-trillion on the day Barack Obama took office, if his budget projections come to fruition, he’ll run up nearly as much government debt in four years as President Bush did in eight.
From, A Pfennig for For your thoughts http://www.dailypfennig.com/ , “we’ll see the Budget Deficit, which is expected to be $180 Billion for the month of May… If it tallies there at $180 Billion, the Budget Deficit in the first 5 months of this year will have exceeded $650 Billion… And that’s before the $787 Stimulus gets added… And other items that will come along… And don’t forget that we posted a deficit in April! I still believe the Budget Deficit will be at least $3 Trillion this year! That would push our National Debt to around $14 Trillion…” For a great explanation of “why do the annual federal budget deficits not match increases in the national debt,” visit http://www.independent.org/blog/?p=2355
Twice as nice for a Wednesday, both Trade Deficit and Budget Deficit will be released today. Ten Banks are going to repay their TARP (troubled assets relief program) funds, to the tune of nearly $70 billion, but that will barely put a dent in America’s economic decline, say nothing of the move toward socialized everything.
Senators Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)”vowed again Tuesday to vote against — and, if possible, filibuster — the troop-funding bill and all other legislation until they get their way,” according to http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/09/lieberman-graham-threaten_n_213262.html The hissy fit is over a photo amendment that would prevent the release of the Gitmo torture photos forever and ever.
“Transparency in government is an American value, but it is not without limits, no more than any of the values embraced in our Constitution,” Lieberman said. “The transparency in this case is needless and dangerous transparency.”
Their actions have merit. The world does not need to see how low America stooped. Too bad these two didn’t have the balls necessary during the campaign to warn that an Obama administration of transparency, would only come when it was convenient for Obama. If nothing else, this Senate delay saves us a few bucks while the debate goes on.
According to CNN- President Barack Obama on Tuesday proposed making “pay-as-you-go” rules for federal spending into law. The so-called PAYGO proposal requires Congress to balance any increased spending by equal savings elsewhere. By all accounts, added entitlement spending will be offset with spending cursor tax increases. Talk about bait and switch!
ABC points out, “discretionary spending – roughly 40% of the federal budget – is not covered by PAYGO.” The PAYGO rules will apply to new tax cuts and mandatory spending, with four major exemptions – any renewal of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, the continued efforts to “patch” the Alternative Minimum Tax, any effort to address physician’s payments in Medicare, and modifying the estate tax.” http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/06/president-obama-paygo-and-the-deficit-hole.html
“”This is like quitting drinking, but making an exception for beer and hard liquor,” said Maya MacGuineas, President of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB). “Exempting these measures from PAYGO would increase the ten-year deficit by over $2.5 trillion dollars. That’s not fiscal responsibility.” I’ll have a nice chardonnay please, and it better not be the frig from France.
60% of the budget is not subject to PAYGO. Why is no one having a hissy fit over that? While President Obama may enjoy a 60% approval rating, PAYGO and his expensive socialistic plans still don’t achieve his goals. Bush might have spent a pretty dime, but at least is was shining in democracy.
props to http://chalktalk-talk.blogspot.com/2009/06/worldwide-national-debt.html on the Percent of GDP. Japan debt is equally dismal especially in light of recent military actions on the part of it’s neighbor North Korea. Obama who continues his spiel of climate change for jobs might want to take a look at Japans which “is doing the smart thing by not meeting it’s ‘Kyoto Protocol’ targets and is only pledging to cut it’s future CO2 emissions by 8%. Via http://motorcitytimes.com/mct/japan-will-protect-its-economy-first/ Right now they need jobs and so do we.
I think I”ll have a Saki instead of that chardonnay after all.
My share of I.O.U.S.A. debt leaves little room for more than a sip out of the White House Fountain.
