What is more toxic, the oil spill or President Obama politics?  

The real goal of “health care” legislation, the real goal of “cap-and-trade,” and the real goal of the “stimulus” is to rip the guts out of our private economy and transfer wide swaths of it over to the government to control. Do not be deluded by the propaganda. These initiatives are vehicles for change. They are not goals in and of themselves except in their ability to deliver power. Is the real goal of President Obama’s lack of response to the oil spill more government reliance?  Is it an an excuse to shut down off shore oil drilling? As Rahm Emmanuel said, “A crisis is a terrible thing to waste.”
  

Former FEMA director Michael Brown is not backing off his charge that the Obama administration wants to use the Gulf Coast oil spill as a plot to put an end to offshore drilling.   “They want a crisis like this, so that they can use a crisis like this to shut down offshore and gas drilling,” he said Tuesday night on CNN’s “AC 360°.”    

The San Francisco Chronicle in January 2008. Obama told the Chronicle editorial board that he wanted cap-and-trade legislation to be as strong as possible.    

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. Having read every 1,168 pages of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, it becomes more clear that her philosophical revolution of government takeover is pointing to real life.  “I trust that no one will tell me that men such as I write about don’t exists.  That this book has been written—and published—is my proof that they do,” wrote Rand in the “about the author,” section.  

Any Americans genuinely willing to shrug off the President, to abandon the pursuit of their professed values with the aid of this president’s resolve to solve our manifold problems — whether these Americans are conservative or liberal, secular or spiritual— believing Obama appears to have failed so completely to solve the litany of problems enumerated above in the generous twelve months allotted, might want to recall that he said we are all in this together;  that he said he would listen— that he is serious about relying on our ideas to forge the kind of changes— solutions to our problems— that we can believe in.

The Deepwater Horizon isn’t the only oil leaking into the Gulf of Mexico.  For the last for the last six years another underwater platform has been leaking– 

Site owner Taylor Energy Co. LLC said in a written statement that a production platform about 70 miles southwest of the Deepwater Horizon disaster was collapsed during Hurricane Ivan in 2004 by an underwater mudslide.

It is not a new leak, just some dome adjustments to an old leak? Atlas Shrugged wrote about the locomotive, copper and steel that the government took control of, eventually running the companies out of business.  In real life, it is the coal and oil industry that Obama may put out of business or become government owned. It already owns banks and automobile companies.

They wanted to end free market capitalism. Effectively, the stranglehold of regulation, the result of cronyism in government, the insidious relationship between lobbyists, politicians, and leftwing groups (which, no coincidence, favor Cloward-Pliven leftwing politics) such as PIRG and Public Citizen has effectively created a government which regulates free markets and small entrepreneurs out of existence.They wanted to increase the public’s dependency on the government sector. It doesn’t really matter so much whether this is being done deliberately by people who know what they are doing, by duped useful idiots whose strings are being pulled behind the scenes by some malevolent forces of evil, or through mere incompetence.
