How can anyone figure out The Heath care Reform Bill when people can’t even figure out the Tax Code?

Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, is irked that nearly 100,000 civilian federal employees owe the IRS $962 million in back taxes. He thinks they should pay up or be fired.   Chaffetz has introduced a bill that calls for the federal government to “ferret out” civilian employees who have “seriously delinquent tax debt” and prevent the hiring of other tax delinquents.  More than 3 percent of the 2.8 million federal civilian employees owed the Treasury unpaid federal income taxes in 2008, according to the IRS. If you include retirees and military service members, the numbers go from nearly 100,000 up to 276,000 current or former workers who owe $3 billion in taxes.  Writes,  http://thewere42.wordpress.com/2010/03/19/tax-scam-uncle-sam-you-oughta-be-fired-says-utah-rep-chaffetz/

How many pages of tax code are there?

Title 26 contains all the Federal IRS CODE.
Title 26 contains 20 Volumes.
All 20 volumes contain a total of 14,872 pages of tax code.
All 20 volumes weight in at 35 Pounds
All 20 volumes cost $1,080.00

Obtained from the GPO- Government Printing Office, as of April 1st 2009, 14,872 pages of tax code.  It is over 24 times longer than the King James version of the Bible at 608 pages. Over 11 times longer than War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy-1296 pages.  It’s 20 volumes are about 5 feet thick! Laying the pages end to end it would be over 2.5 miles  The average reader would take 31 days of non stop reading to read all of the tax codes.

Meow, “I have Swine Flu,” says the fluffy white kitty.  The H1N1 Swine Flu has mutated and infiltrated the pet population.  Cats, dogs, ferrets- albeit the case numbers are small so far but, “even when inter-species transmissions do occur, the H1N1 virus seems more likely to move from humans to animals, rather than the other way around.  As reported Wednesday by the Associated Press, veterinarians at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine announced the first laboratory-confirmed case of H1N1 infection in a cat. via http://health.usnews.com/articles/health/healthday/2009/11/04/rest-easy-when-it-comes-to-swine-flu-your-pet-is.html

There is currently no evidence to show that the swine flu is being be passed from infected pets to humans. The transmission of H1N1 viruses between species in both directions is possible, however writes http://www.examiner.com/x-29228-LA-Health-Technology-Examiner~y2009m11d7-Pets-vulnerable-to-owners-swine-flu-infection–H1N1-virus-can-be-transmitted-to-pets-from-humans

U.S News goes on to say, “Several cases of pig-to-human and human-to-pig transmission of the seasonal flu have been documented but it’s mostly in agricultural settings, added Dr. John Treanor, director of the infectious diseases division at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York.   In fact, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Wednesday that it had detected H1N1 in a commercial herd of pigs in Indiana, the AP reported. Again, both the pigs and the humans caring for them recovered from the flu, the news agency said.  According to Olsen, the livestock industry already has elaborate biosecurity precautions in place — everything from asking about workers’ health, to protective clothing, to having employees shower before entering or leaving a facility.”  Gee, wasn’t the first reports of the outbreak right near a large pork farm in Mexico?

The study of zoonotic diseases — diseases transmissible between people and animals — has become an important research area in recent decades with the appearance of deadly new emergent diseases like Ebola, HIV/AIDS and West Nile virushttp://www.chicagotribune.com/health/chi-flu-pets_mullennov08,0,7440266.story

Questions remain regarding Zoonotic diseases and viruses derived from them.  Pic via http://dannydodd.wordpress.com/2008/03/14/cats-vs-dogs/.

Optaflu®  is the first influenza vaccine made in a mammalian (DOG) cell line, rather than chicken eggs.  https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/10/12/h1n1-swine-flu-vaccine-grown-in-dog-cells/

Drug manufacturers are likely using cells infected with cancer, growing them in chickens, culturing them in pigs, monkeys, dogs, even plants, and then encouraging you to, “Just get your damned vaccine.”  http://www.infowars.com/just-get-your-damn-vaccine/ said.

Conspiracy theorists would argue the OPV AIDS connection that AIDS was accidentally or intentionally started in the 1950’s in the Congo by Hilary Koprowski researching the polio vaccine with chimps.  Conspiracy theorists also argue that Baxter Pharmaceutical may have unleashed the Swine Flu virus. https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/05/05/baxter-pharmaceutical-plant-in-mexico-ground-zero-for-flu-outbreak/ What’s important to notice is that smallpox vaccination in the U.S. persisted another 30 years after the disease was at an incidence of practically zero. Again, the only source of death from smallpox in the U.S. for 30 years was from the vaccine itself. (Mendelsohn, p 232, World Book, 1994) [24, 25]  http://www.cyberclass.net/smallpoxvaccine.htm excerpted from https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/07/27/swine-flu-vaccine-connection-to-aids-polio-smallpox/

You didn’t think your pet was really safe did you?

Look what is injected into our farm animals for human consumption.  Since the first vaccine was licensed in 1979, a total of 79 genetically engineered biologics have been licensed; all but 20 are still being produced.  Now there are 2,379 active product licenses for these animal vaccines and other biologics and 110 licensed manufacturers’.”  http://www.twobitdog.com/DrFox/specialreport_Article.aspx?ID=273f53f4-bcdc-474f-a189-cca1d1a81c38

The exact amount of antibiotic resistance due to farm practices is controversial and unknown. “I think it’s a real issue,” adds that “overwhelmingly there have not been many good studies on the issue.” http://whyfiles.org/099food/4.html

Protein Sciences Corp. of Meriden, Conn., landed a five-year, $147 million contract to develop a vaccine using its recombinant technology — flu proteins grown in insect cells. The hope is that the first doses would be available within 12 weeks of the beginning of a pandemic. That is about twice as fast as flu vaccine produced from eggs.  Biotechnology company Vical Inc. is developing swine flu vaccine prompted “robust” immune responses in 100 percent of animals infected with distinct strains of the virus.  Vical is developing its vaccine under an agreement with the U.S. Navy. It is currently working the U.S. Navy to secure funding in order to advance the vaccine candidate to human studies.http://blog.taragana.com/n/vical-says-its-developing-swine-flu-vaccine-prompts-immune-responses-in-mice-rabbits-164849/

What does that cat have that you can catch?  If you start scratching at a post and meowing, time to start really worrying!  On the other hand, if you are a pet of these idiots:

In “Time to Eat the Dog?: A Real Guide to Sustainable Living,” Brenda and her husband Robert Vale, architects who concentrate on sustainable living, propose an unsavory idea: if you are going to keep pets, make sure they are edible so as to reduce the carbon footprint of the animals you keep. http://www.pawnation.com/2009/10/22/time-to-eat-the-dog-just-think-about-it-say-sustainable-livin?icid=sphere_wpcom_inline

No wonder dogs and cats piss and shit all over the house.
