You know what? Eff you CNN. In reporting the story of the death of a U.S. Special forces member, CNN has seen it to be fit to offer the story in Arabic.

Read a version of this story in Arabic.

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) — An elite U.S. special forces team rescued an American doctor who had been abducted in Afghanistan, but lost one of their own members in the mission, officials said.

Pardon us a moment while we go puke. Here is the link – http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/09/world/asia/afghanistan-taliban-rescue/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

Arabic, flipping Arabic. CNN is based in the good old USA, owned by its parent company Time Warner and a division of Turner Broadcasting and where the vast majority of us speak and read English. You want it translated- go use google translate or one of the zillion other places on the web that will translate it for you. For CNN to add a link for a translation in Arabic is appalling. Why not a translation into German, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, etc. What? Doesn’t the rest of freaking world want to read the story too? An American soldier is dead and his story is being shared specifically in Arabic. Despicable.

It’s the New World Order in America, it pisses us off and is evidence of the Islamization of America. You want to be a Muslim in America fine, that’s up to you but here we don’t press #1 for English.

Yet.

It’s not that we hate Muslims, oh no- we hate Sharia Law and people and politicians who dance around it’s invasion of America in the name of political correctness. Take a look at France, Egypt, and many other places where Catholic & Christian churches are attacked mainly by Muslim Extremists. Eff that.

The doctor, Dilip Joseph and two other captives were there on behalf of Morning Star Development. He serves as it’s medical advisor. MorningStar Publications and Ministries is a diverse and expanding international ministry founded by Rick and Julie Joyner in 1985.

The Goal of Islam

Today on Prophetic Perspectives Rick Joyner is joined by special guest, Kamal Saleem. Kamal Saleem is a former Muslim terrorist who became a Christian through the faithful love and support of believers after a terrible car accident. “Today, Kamal Saleem educates state and federal political leaders, military leaders, intelligence specialists, security officials and contractors, law enforcement agencies, foundations, non-profits, churches, synagogues, universities, military academies and receptive Muslim audiences on what he knows of the deadly enemy without – and the cancerous enemy within.” http://www.morningstartv.com/prophetic-perspective-current-events/goal-islam

Basically a group of stupid, unarmed Christians were in Afghanistan working at a rural medical clinic in eastern Kabul and got abducted by a group of armed men, also know as Taliban- followers of Sharia and CNN offers the story in Arabic. Because you know what? America is under Sharia attack and better wake the eff up when the U.S. main stream media reports in Arabic.

“He gave his life for his fellow Americans, and he and his teammates remind us once more of the selfless service that allows our nation to stay strong, safe and free,” President Barack Obama said of the slain U.S. service member, who was not immediately identified.

What does Morning Star have to say about it?

Despite the kidnappings of Joseph and its two other staffers, Morning Star reiterated its “commitment to continue its work” in Afghanistan.

You know what? Eff you too Morning Star. Go hire a military contractor to protect your ass. We hope the least Morning Star can do is to provide some financial help to the family of the dead Navy Seal. Although, personally we’d tell them to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine.

We say a prayer for the dead soldier and America, a sigh of relief for the rescued man, and will avoid CNN.

End rant. December 10, 2012.

An unusual space body with parameters similar to a man-made object will approach Earth on Wednesday at a distance about three times less than the moon’s orbit.  The object, named 2010 AL30, will fly by Earth at a distance of at least 128,000 km (about 80,000 miles) at 12:48 GMT.  As it is some 10-15 meters long, there is no chance it will directly impact the planet.  According to Italian scientists Ernesto Guido and Giovanni Sostero of the Remanzacco Observatory, it has an orbital period of almost exactly one year and might be a man-made object such as a spent rocket booster. via http://en.rian.ru/science/20100112/157518728.html

Alan Harris, senior researcher at the U.S. Space Science Institute provided this explanation in an email via a Yahoo Group at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/mpml/message/22765 :

What the hell is an unusual space body?

When a scientist “wonders” if it is man, made so do we!  A piece of space junk, a hunk a hunk of burning asteroid, possibly an alien spacecraft on exactly a one year mission to circle the earth?  Dunno.  Having a 14th magnitude, means this object is bright and will be visible to us mere mortals.   (http://homepage.mac.com/andjames/Page007.htm to learn more on color and brightness in astronomy)

Do things just appear out of no where?  As Space Weather confirms, yes!

“Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) are space rocks larger than approximately 100m that can come closer to Earth than 0.05 AU. None of the known PHAs is on a collision course with our planet, although astronomers are finding new ones all the time.  On January 12, 2010 there were 1092 potentially hazardous asteroids.”  http://spaceweather.com/

Author Ralph Ellis draws an incredible link between astronomy, the zodiac and theology at http://www.world-mysteries.com/gw_rellis7.htm  .  His homepage where you can purchase his books is at http://www.edfu-books.com/

With its constant reference to bulls, sheep and fish, the Bible portrays definite echoes of an ancient astrological religion, a story of the constellations onto which the history of the patriarchal family has been grafted. In Gilgamesh, we find a similar epic tale of a battle with bulls and sheep, one that can just possibly be interpreted as a clash of the stellar constellations, a battle between Aries and Taurus.

Could the appearance of 2010 AL30 be a forewarning of an astronomical forbearance?  Are major changes about to happen?  Is this a hint of the end as 2012 doomsday theorists project as indicated by the end of the Mayan calendar?  What if by some mere chance this 14th magnitude object, packing enough power to circle the globe should happen to divert to NYC or another populated city?

On June 30, 1908 in Siberia, there was an unexplained explosion that has come to be known as the The Tunguska meteor.

Recent scientific studies by meteorite researcher Christopher Chyba have estimated that the Tunguska event may have been caused by the explosion of a stony meteroid about 30 meters in diameter traveling at about 15 km/s. Compare the energy released by such an object with that of an atomic bomb sucs as those dropped on Japan in World War II….Thus, our estimate is that the Tunguska had an explosive energy roughly on order of 60 A-bombs, or 500 KT of TNT. It was closer in effect to a very large H-bomb. http://www.psi.edu/projects/siberia/siberia.html

2010 AL30 is estimated at 10 -12 meters giving any impact only one third of the power of what happened in Tunguska.  Only one third, around 20 Atom Bombs.  Holy shit, batman.

Maybe the events at Tunguska weren’t a meteor but a UFO, as one scientist believes….

A Russian scientist claims that a UFO deliberately crashed itself into Tunguska meteor to save Earth from destruction 100 years ago. “Dr Yuri Labvin, president of the Tunguska Spatial Phenomenon Foundation, insists that an alien spacecraft sacrificed itself to prevent the gigantic meteor from crashing into the Earth…We also found ferrum silicate that cannot be produced anywhere, except in space.”   http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/world-news/ufo-crashed-into-a-meteor-to-save-earth-says-russian-expert_100197820.html#ixzz0cPMeT4xY

Whatever 2010 AL30  is, it will make its closest approach on Jan. 13th, 2010 when it will streak through Orion, Taurus, and Pisces glowing like a 14th magnitude star!  http://www.ehow.com/how_2136263_zodiac-sky.html has hints on how to find constellations.

As Christians around the world prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas, the United States government continues to battle abortion as part of the health care reform battle.

The way abortions are covered under health care reform is a major obstacle to finalizing the legislation, even though the House and Senate both agree that no federal money should be used.  The stumbling block is whether insurance plans that get federal money are completely barred from covering abortions, or whether they can cover it as long as they require customers to write separate checks for the procedure using their own money. …Abortions in the first trimester typically cost between $350 and $900, according to Planned Parenthood. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20091223/D9CP9T4O0.html.

Arguing over the sanctity of life at Christmas is asinine.  Go home already, and start over in the New Year.

At 7:16 a.m., the Senate passed on a 60-39 party line vote a sweeping health care bill that will tighten insurance regulations, provide insurance for 31 million more Americans and cost $871 billion over the next decade. “This is for my friend Ted Kennedy, aye,” said Sen. Robert Byrd as he cast his vote.  Clearly exhausted, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid mistakenly voted no before changing his vote to yes, which got a laugh in the chamber, especially from Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. via http://www.politico.com/livepulse/1209/BREAKING__Senate_passes_health_bill_.html

The Catholic bishops fired off another letter to the U.S. Senate last night urging opposition to the Democratic healthcare bill poised to pass tomorrow. Despite abortion funding restrictions that have provoked the ire of the leading abortion-rights groups, the bishops say the Senate bill still allows federal funding of abortion coverage and make clear they’ll accept nothing less than the House healthcare bill’s sweeping ban on federal abortion funding. via http://www.usnews.com/blogs/god-and-country/2009/12/23/catholic-bishops-still-opposed-to-senate-health-reform-bill.html

Only God knows what these buffoons will come up with behind closed doors with claims of transparency.  In a pork filled bill, shame on everyone of them who basically were bribed with federal money for their state as a means of convincing them to vote for this bill.  There is a investigation for everything else, let someone please investigate exactly who and which states will directly benefit.  Lumps of coal for them all from Santa.

Even the military has a problem with pregnancy. “Facing criticism over his order banning pregnancies for those in his command in Iraq, a U.S. general has backed off, slightly. While there are still reprimands issued for those violating the order, it does not appear there will be any courts-martial involved. http://www.huliq.com/3257/89902/us-general-defends-iraq-no-pregnancy-order .  Trillions in debt, 4200 dead soldiers 31000 wounded in Iraq, throw in Afghanistan and it just makes you sick.

Her hair was up in a pony tail, her favorite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy’s Day at school, and she couldn’t wait to go. But her mommy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone. But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates of why he wasn’t there today. But still her mother worried, for her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, she tried to keep her daughter home… But the little girl went to school eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees a dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats One by one the teacher called a student from the class. To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, a man who wasn’t there. ‘Where’s her daddy at?’ She heard a boy call out. ‘She probably doesn’t have one,’ another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back, she heard a daddy say, ‘Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day.’ The words did not offend her, as she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher, who told her to go on. And with hands behind her back, slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique. ‘My Daddy couldn’t be here, because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, since this is such a special day. And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, and how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories he taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, and taught me to fly a kite. We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him. I’m not standing here alone. ‘Cause my daddy’s always with me, even though we are apart I know because he told me, he’ll forever be in my heart.’ With that, her little hand reached up, and lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, beneath her favorite dress. And from somewhere there in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, who was wise beyond her years. For she stood up for the love of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, doing what was right. And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, but its message clear and loud. ‘I love my daddy very much, he’s my shining star. And if he could, he’d be here, but heaven’s just too far. You see he is a Marine and died just this past year When a roadside bomb hit his convoy and taught Americans to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it’s like he never went away’ And then she closed her eyes, and saw him there that day. And to her mother’s amazement, she witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes. Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side. ‘I know you’re with me Daddy,’ to the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, of those once filled with doubt. Not one in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose. And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, by the love of her shining star. And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far. —Author unknown

Debates go on, the debt gets higher, soldiers are dying, people are starving, there are few jobs to be held, and many in America have no insurance.  Time to change the channel from C-Span and tune in to God.  In a Vatican first, Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate Christmas midnight mass two hours early, at 10:00 pm (1900 GMT) on Thursday. Amish mourn and pray after students are massacred

Amish mourn and pray after students are massacred

9-11. The West Nickel Mines School need your help.  October 2, 2006.

Described as a Conservative Christian and family man, Charles Carl Roberts, 32, was married and a father of three.  On October 2, 2006 he entered a one-room Amish schoolhouse in Lancaster,Pa, took 10 girls hostage, shot them killing five of them before taking his own life as police stormed into the school by breaking through the window. A pregnant woman, three parents with infants, and all fifteen male students were told to leave the school by Roberts.

The reports claim he had been planning the attacks for a week and had brought along  wood 2x4s, eye hooks, nails, and chains presumably to be used for securing the victims, and KY jelly apparently to sexually assault the girls.

They were shot execution style in the back of the head.  The victims — Naomi Rose Ebersole, 7; Marian Fisher, 13; Mary Liz Miller, 8; and her sister Lena Miller, 7 ; Anna Mae Stoltzfus, 12.

The Amish community after the events put emphasis on forgiveness and reconciliation.   An Amish neighbor came the same night to the Roberts’  home and offered forgiveness to the family. Judgment is in God’s hands: `Judge not, that ye be not judged.'”

The West Nickel Mines School was torn down was demolished the following week  leaving a quiet pasture.  A new one-room schoolhouse, the New Hope School, was built at another location.

The tragedy inspired a Lancaster County man to write about the power of forgiveness.   Author Jonas Beiler grew up in an old order Amish family, wrote the book “Think No Evil” http://www.wgal.com/news/21061462/detail.html. His wife is Auntie Anne’s Pretzels founder Anne Beiler.   Beiler also had insight into Roberts’ story. In 1975, the Beilers’ 19-month-old daughter Angie was struck and killed by a tractor driven by a relative.  http://articles.lancasteronline.com/local/4/242444

The Amish do not normally accept charity and the Foundation’s Nickel Mines School Victims Fund is now closed, interested donors may contribute to the Nickel Mines Accountability Committee to:

Christiana, PA 17509

“Many of us seemed preoccupied for an explanation of why this happened. There really was no way to make sense of this senseless act. As an Amish mother once said, “All the time the question ‘Why?’ comes to our minds. But we should not expect to be able to understand everything in this life, and should never put a question mark where God has put a period.” Little children were promised the kingdom of heaven.” http://www.amishnews.com/publishersmessages/SchoolShooting.htm

It’s hard not to think no evil when evil took the lives of five little girls, disabled five more and devistated a community.  We’ll try, except the axis of evil keeps popping into our thoughts.

Got a little nose tickle? Here comes the big sneeze- Ahh chooo. Normally folks would say, “God Bless You” after a sneeze, now they forget all about blessing you and get the hell away fast, praying  they don’t get sick too. The World Health Organization has raised it’s threat classification of the swine flu outbreak to Phase Five, one step away from a worldwide pandemic.

VP Biden this morning said, “I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now,” on whether he would advise family members to use public transportation. see the video link at http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/us_world/Swine-Flu-0428.html Mexico is  predominately Roman Catholic where people commonly attend church. http://countrystudies.us/mexico/61.htm  But forget about going to church this week in Mexico, “There is no safer place to protect yourself against catching swine flu than in your house,” Mexican President Felipe Calderon said, closing all non essential operations for five days.  http://www.fox8.com/news/nationworld/sns-ap-med-swine-flu,0,6402111.story

During the 16th, 17th, 18th centuries, the idea was that death “had something to do with God’s will,” said Dr. Howard Markel, professor of the history of medicine and of pediatrics and communicable diseases at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor.  The term influenza has religious, Italian origins. It was used to show that the influence of epidemics was “either of the stars or the devil,” Markel said. “During the Renaissance, epidemics were seen as an act of God.” ( http://abcnews.go.com/Health/ColdandFluNews/story?id=6104503&page=1)

Paul McFedries, author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Weird Word Origins” notes that  “In 590 [A.D.], Pope Gregory I ordered the citizens of Rome to pray to fend off an outbreak of the Bubonic Plague. ,” “Since people of the day thought a sneeze was a symptom of the plague, they would say ‘God Bless You’ to the sneezer.” Another belief is that when one sneezes, their heart stops. Saying “God Bless You” is believed to make the sneezer return to life or make their heart continue to beat. The act of sneezing itself is viewed as positive or negative, depending on the story to which you subscribe. The positive explanation states that sneezing helps cleanse the body of evil spirits.  Contrary to that belief, a sneeze was also seen as a bad omen. People used to believe that your soul was thrown from your body during a sneeze. It is believed that the departure of one’s soul from you body left him or her unprotected from evil spirits. After sneezing, the body was susceptible to invasion by the Devil himself.”

I guess you’d have to define who the Devil is to believe the cause of this latest, never before seen mutation of the flu.   Mother Nature, the scientists, terrorists, farmers, governments, etc.? They could all have a hand in creating and preventing this near full blown pandemic.

Escalating fears in millions and prompting many to wear face masks, I wonder what about the simple handshake?

In public the handshake is a simple greeting and custom.  In the Roman Catholic church, the handshake is the sign of peace.  Custom dictates what used to be called the “the kiss of peace” and how it is exchanged in each country: a handshake, an embrace, words of peace, or other action.   St. Augustine in the 4th century: “After the Lord’s Prayer, say ‘Peace be with you.’ Christians then embrace one another with a holy kiss. This is the sign of peace.” http://www.cptryon.org/ask/ask/signpeace.html  The peace of Christ, really present on the altar, is also with all men- but no one knows where those hands have been.  Whatever germs they carry, so shall you.

The Pope, seeking an interest in peace said,  “From 8-15 May, I will make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land to ask the Lord, visiting the places sanctified by his passage on the earth, for his precious blessing of unity and peace for the Middle East and for all of mankind. I am counting on the spiritual support of all of you, and may God accompany me, support me, and bless with his Grace all those who I meet on my way,” said the Pope in an official statement. http://www.israel21c.org/bin/en.jsp?enDispWho=Articles%5El2547&enPage=BlankPage&enDisplay=view&enDispWhat=object&enVersion=0&enZone=Culture  What was it VP Biden said about gathering in public places and non essential travel? Want to shake the Pope’s hand? Kiss the ring?

Smithfield Foods, a world producer of pork products surely is looking for peace as well, issuing the following statements, ” We routinely administer flu vaccines to our herds in order to protect them from potential viruses and conduct monthly tests to examine the presence and identity of different flu strains,” adding, “we can pray that health officials and doctors around the world will find answers soon.”  I’d be curious to know what exact inoculations were given to the Mexican herd where the first reported death occurred near Oaxaca.

Not surprisingly, according to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), “It is not correct to call the current disease ‘swine influenza’. The virus that is circulating includes genetic components of human, avian and swine origin. The OIE proposed to refer to this new virus as ‘North American influenza’, using the same approach to nomenclature as used with the Asian influenza and Spanish influenza outbreaks that have occurred in the past.” http://www.smithfieldfoods.com/  Personally I like, The Aporkalypse or The Eye-Chiwawa Flu.

Bible prophecy and the grand scheme of God’s plan is is one-third of the Bible.  Yes, God loves his creations, even the pig.  If anything, I hope He intends to redeem and not destroy with this latest plague.  Awaiting Judgment, many have Bibles and legally registered guns in their homes to keep away any Devils – praying the flu does not come knocking on the door.

God Bless You.

The sun has just about set, bringing another day to a close.   This morning’s sun of  April 8th featured Birkat Hachamah, the Jewish ritual of “Blessing the Sun” which occurs every 28 years.  According to Talmudic tradition, the Sun was created on the fourth day, which was a Wednesday.  In Roman times the new year began on the day of the vernal equinox, which fell on March 25 some 2400 years ago. http://www.usno.navy.mil/USNO/tours-events/sky-this

According to rabbinic tradition, on this day the sun is in the exact position it occupied at the time of Creation. And that, as with almost everything else in Judaism, is cause for a blessing.  Tonight is also Passover in this year 5769 (2008-2009).

It is a simple prayer- The text of the blessing itself is as follows:

“ברוך אתה ה’ אלהינו מלך העולם עושה מעשה בראשית”
Blessed are You, LORD, our God, King of the Universe who makes the works of Creation.

Most religions mark the time in a sacred way.  40 days of lent, the 40 day flood, etc. Counting the solar years in increments of 28 is just one more way of marking a new beginning- a rebirth.

“At a time of growing concern over global warming, birkat hachama has found new resonance. In many synagogues, the special blessing — only one sentence long — will be accompanied by recitations of the ways in which the congregation is harnessing solar power and generally, assuming environmentally friendly policies.”  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123872560930985495.html

I believe in the power of the sun for growth, warmth and spirituality, but pausing for “the birth of the sun,” gives me  little evidence of consequence to fossil fuel consumption or global warming.  In fact, it pisses me off that I will soon be required to purchase mercury laden, compact fluorescent light bulbs- CF’L’s, energy saving, cancer causing light bulbs.

“The blessing is an affirmation of God, not as creator, but as the power that keeps the universe in existence,” said Rabbi J. David Bleich, an expert on the holiday who wrote a book on the subject. “God didn’t just create the universe, then go on an eternal sabbatical. He’s like a generator of electricity: If it doesn’t keep on working, the lights go out.” http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1238562942983

With due respect, time for lights out and bed.  You could dream of, “the potential effects of intense solar Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) on the earth and an ever-growing awareness of the possibility of extreme geomagnetic storms seem to rekindle interest in the so-called ‘Carrington Event’ of 1859, when “skies all over planet Earth erupted in red, green, and purple auroras”, causing severe damage to the telegraph networks of the time. Between then and 1958, altogether 6 well-documented auroras were strong enough to be visible within 30º or indeed 20º of the equator. http://xenophilius.wordpress.com/2009/04/08/the-coming-of-the-sky-dancers/.

God willing, we will rise to see tomorrow’s sunrise. For planet viewing check out  http://stardate.org/nightsky/planets/

Blah, blah, blah,  the attitude of the African melody “Kum Ba Ya,”  where the lyrics say someone is crying, singing and praying couldn’t be more true. It is the hearts of the religious faithful that are becoming more dismissive of both The Pope and Obama. The translation of “Kum Ba Ya” means come by here, but more and more we see people turning from God and religion.  We have until the election of 2012 to see people turn from Obama, but it’s already begun.

The latest findings of the American Religious Identification Survey find that 34 million adult Americans — that’s almost one in five of us — are now non-religious. http://onmilwaukee.com/politics/articles/hissom032009.html?18510 In a Rasmussen survey, at this time in a first term, Obama has the lowest approval and highest disapproval rating ever recorded. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll  Gee, I wonder why with so many threats to our constitution from proposed gun rights laws to the fact that he has refused to prove his natural born citizenship status his ratings are plummeting?

The UN is attempting to negotiate anti-blasphemy” language and references to Israel widely seen as anti-Semitic at its conference on racism, “Durban II” in Geneva where numerous countries have chosen to pull out of attendance.  The document mentions only Christians, Jews, and Muslims as potential victims of “phobias,” and the IHEU’s briefing paper asks delegates to either remove any names of specific groups, or if not, to add “Atheists, unbelievers and apostates” to the list.  http://www.examiner.com/x-4275-DC-Secularism-Examiner~y2009m3d22-Diplomats-dump-defamation-of-religion-language-from-UN-racism-conference-Good-enough Anyone who thinks phobias are the real reason to to attend this conference ought to be buying at Timothy Geithner’s assist auctions.  It is all about hate, plain and simple.

Barack-star Obama who has proclaimed himself Islamic and Christian, intends to sign on to a United Nations Declaration calling for the decriminalization of homosexuality around the world.  “…echoing the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states that “all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights,” affirms that “human rights apply equally to every human being regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.” http://www.examiner.com/x-4275-DC-Secularism-Examiner~y2009m3d22-Diplomats-dump-defamation-of-religion-language-from-UN-racism-conference-Good-enough That all sounds well and good until one backs up, and realizes that you would have to be born to receive these inalienable rights.  Obama has made it obvious that he is pro-abortion and has little respect for the unborn, contrary to the Catholic Church and many Conservatives.

$2.4 Billion dollars is going to be made available for U.S. based development of plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles from the Obama administration.  http://www.lowimpactliving.com/blog/2009/03/22/president-obama-announces-24-billion-in-funding-for-electric-vehicles/  At the same time  Obama’s proposed 2010 federal budget contains a 7% cut in charitable tax deductions.  Houses of worship are among the list of casualties of the mortgage crisis and donations to the church are going to plummet at the very time so many need help both spiritually and financially.

The Pope is speaking in Africa, understandably in opposition to the use of condoms to stop the spread of AIDS.  While it is unrealistic and dangerous, it is within the church’s teachings to promote sex in the sanctity of marriage.   Surely The Pope realize over 25 million people have AIDS and are born with it, but he has not wavered in the church teachings.    Obama at the other end of the spectrum almost signed Nancy Pelosi’s bailout bullshit provision that would have paid for condoms and abortions with our tax dollars.

Obama is going to address the graduates of Notre Dame University at commencement.  The preeminent Catholic university in America will bestow upon him an honorary degree when he stands against what most Catholics believe, obfuscating everything from traditional marriage to abortion.   “It is an outrage and a scandal that “Our Lady’s University,” one of the premier Catholic universities in the United States, would bestow such an honor on President Obama given his clear support for policies and laws that directly contradict fundamental Catholic teachings on life and marriage. This nation has many thousands of accomplished leaders in the Catholic Church, in business, in law, in education, in politics, in medicine, in social services, and in many other fields who would be far more appropriate choices to receive such an honor from the University of Notre Dame.  Instead Notre Dame has chosen prestige over principles, popularity over morality. Whatever may be President Obama’s admirable qualities, this honor comes on the heels of some of the most anti-life actions of any American president, including expanding federal funding for abortions and inviting taxpayer-funded research on stem cells from human embryos.’ http://notredamescandal.com/ at The Cardinal Newman Center at Notre Dame.

Students had this to say in a letter to Pres., Fr. Jenkins, “the University should also use Pres. Obama’s visit as an opportunity to reiterate its commitment to the teachings of the Church and the sanctity of life. We ask that you consider making a public statement, if not at the Commencement exercises themselves then in a highly visible public forum, distancing yourself and the University from his views, making it clear that the University disagrees in no uncertain terms with his views on the unborn, which stand in contrast to that of the Church’s stance of protecting the most defenseless and voiceless among us. Awarding him an honorary degree without making clear that the University disapproves of his stance on issues regarding the sanctity of human life would be a disrespect to those students who, like ourselves, chose to attend this University based not only on its status as one of the country’s premier institutions of higher learning, but a school that takes pride in its Catholic foundation and identity. ”  http://www.nd.edu/~pbrown6/ObamaVisitLetter.html

The Catholic Bishops summed it up pretty clearly, “The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.”  http://www.usccb.org/bishops/catholicsinpoliticallife.shtml

More than 15,000 people have signed a petition calling for the university to rescind it’s offer to Obama.  http://notredamescandal.com/  Check out http://squarewondotorg.wordpress.com/2009/03/22/a-most-disgusting-and-shameful-action-by-notre-dame/ for further discussion and a list of great blogs agains Obama speaking at ND.

His appearance and religious stance only reflects on his seething ability to manipulate and prophetize one thing, the cult and religion of Obama.

God Bless America.

Post update 03-24-09 From The Huffington Post.  The Roman Catholic bishop whose diocese includes the University of Notre Dame says he will boycott President Barack Obama’s May 17 commencement speech at the Catholic school because of Obama’s support for abortion rights and embryonic stem-cell research.  Bishop John D’Arcy is the head of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend.

Happy Solstice?  Why not?  There are Solstice Sunglasses http://www.solsticestores.com/ Solstice Residential Homes http://www.solsticecollection.com/homes.php, the awesome Pontiac Solstice Convertible Cars http://www.pontiac.com/solstice, even a new Celebrity Solstice cruise ship http://www.cruisesonly.com/ making use of the word.

Solstice for most of us means the official start of Winter plunging us into darkness and cold, about December 21st.  One wouldn’t know it is still fall with a current Alberta Clipped inundating much of the States today, bringing with it snow and sub zero temperatures.  Winter Solstice 2008 starts Dec 21, 12:04 pm Universal Time and in various time zones:

EST: Dec 21, 7:04 am
CST: Dec 21, 6:04 am
MST: Dec 21, 5:04 am
PST: Dec 21, 4:04 am

You can get complete, exact sun and moon data for any day at http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.php

Daylight is the shortest and thoughts of sugar plums dance in our heads with Christmas coming just a few days after.  Ah Christmas- the most apolitical correct thing to say is Merry Christmas, to celebrate the birth of Christ.  Can you imagine?

America’s history has revolved around a separation of church and state but those intertwined religious factions that have made America a better and sometimes more tolerant country.  Here you are free to believe or not.  The government doesn’t mandate any religion upon her people even though we commonly hear one nation under God- no one says what the God is, or if you have to believe in it.

So now at the holiest hours before Christmas, we have people jumping into the fray of anti religion, erecting signs like this one in Washington right next to Nativity Scenes and holiday decorations. Jeez, ya can’t even say Christmas decorations anymore.   Funny thing is, some one stoled the sign and upon it’s return, they added- Thou Shalt Not Steal, from The Ten Commandments.  Wednesday will see the addition of a “Festivus” pole next in the Capitol.  Festivus was made commonplace in the Seinfeld series. Not to be left out is Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights and a Jewish menorah is scheduled for display Dec. 18 . http://www.mcclatchydc.com/251/story/57249.html

“The Freedom From Religion Foundation has displayed a similar sign in the Wisconsin Capitol for more than a decade, and has gotten used to this sort of response, said Annie Laurie Gaylor of Madison, Wis., a co-president. For the first few years, opponents of the anti-religious message there turned the sign to face the wall, removed it, and even showered it with acid, she said.” http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/6420ap_wa_capitol_holiday_displays.html

Even in celebrating Solstice, there are religious undertones.  So much for the atheist theory to keep religion at bay.  Besides the more famous Stonehenge,  there are megalithic structures throughout Europe that are oriented to the solstices and the equinoxes.  “The Roman Catholic Church gave more financial and social support to the study of astronomy for over six centuries, from the recovery of ancient learning during the late Middle Ages into the Enlightenment, than any other, and, probably, all other, institutions.” The Sun in the Church by J.L. Heilbron, http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0674854330/nightkitchenA/

“Winter solstice was overlaid with Christmas, and the observance of Christmas spread throughout the globe. Along the way, we lost some of the deep connection of our celebrations to a fundamental seasonal, hemispheric event. Many people–of many beliefs–are looking to regain that connection now. I gain inspiration from the universality of the ancient idea–winter solstice celebrations aren’t just an invention of the ancient Europeans. ” http://www.candlegrove.com/solstice.html

Commentator Bill O’Reilly has pointed out that “Seattle now rivals San Francisco for secular-progressive nuttiness. The city fathers are allowing public nakedness in city parks and nude bike riding, and in Fremont, a Seattle suburb, they actually put up a statue honoring Vladimir Lenin, the father of communism.”  He goes on to say, ” a few nuts have a legal right to run down the Christmas tradition in the lobby of the Capitol building. At this point there is little left to say except this: Where are the wise men when you need them?” http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=29795&referer=sphere_related_content

Winter solstice celebrations have been  part of the cultural heritage of Native American Indians, Pakistanis, Tibetans, Chinese and people the world over.  What could be so hard about just keeping the spirit of magic, a promise of peace,  joy to the world, alive for just a few days of the year with out the fringe destroying hope for mankind?

Today December 7, is the anniversary of the attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbor.  Thousands lost there lives that day and through out the war.  I imagine the degree to which one believes in a God is exacerbated the one’s closeness to dying.  I believe God meant for us to celebrate the living with simple respect for one another and it seems so very disrespectful to have signs like this, desecrating another’s belief system and intrude on the celebrations.

December 8th is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, marking the start of the holiday season in many Catholic countries. The Day celebrates the conception of Mary in the womb of her mother and that from her first moment of conception, she was filled with Grace by God. “Exactly nine months from now, on September 8, we will celebrate Mary’s birthday.”  http://www.fisheaters.com/customsadvent5.html

In these politically charged times, where are all the pro-lifers to comment upon grace being given at birth?   Instead the atheists draw the attention of MSM failing to tie Obama’s abortion record or his associations with Reverend Wright who once professed “God Damn America,” to the season.

It is just all to convenient to choose to ignore the millions who have died in the name of God.  It is all to insulting to those of us who live with God not only on Christmas, but every day.

God Bless America, even Obama.

Just when you think you’ve heard it all in the election cycle, comes along more fuel to the fire with columnist, Kathleen Parker of the Washington Post blathering on why the Republicans lost this year’s election, and it’s all God’s fault.  She writes at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/11/18/AR2008111802886.html

“Three little letters, great big problem: G-O-D. I’m bathing in holy water as I type. To be more specific, the evangelical, right-wing, oogedy-boogedy branch of the GOP is what ails the erstwhile conservative party and will continue to afflict and marginalize its constituents if reckoning doesn’t soon cometh.  Simply put: Armband religion is killing the Republican Party.”

People have legitimate positions on all sides of these issues and we don’t have to agree with all of them, but a description of the oogedy-boogedy branch of the GOP is rather offensive. Socially conservative positions may not be the popular vote, but to suggest that a whole group of people leave their values behind is ludicrous.  Religion is very personal thing, but not necessarily private.  The gorilla she professes as a God problem is really the abortion issue. Obama made clear his support for the policy of federal funding and with regard to his personal life, saying that if his daughter’s made a mistake, he wouldn’t want them punished for the rest of their lives.  Did Obama learn this from Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church, The Koran, The Bible?

History will tell us of the consequence of voting for Obama and his selection of pro-abortion former U.S. senator Tom Daschle of South Dakota as his Health and Human Services Secretary. His announcement came on The Feast Day of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, the patroness of Catholic hospitals.  It strikes me that proposition 8 in California, was defeated by the those same socially conservative voters that elected Obama.

In his homily before the election November 3, 2008,  Most Reverend Robert W. Finn
Bishop of Kansas City-St. Joseph http://whitearoundthecollar.blogspot.com/ wrote in part , ” In a country where we have made choice an absolute, we must remember that underlying every choice is a value; that flowing from every choice is a consequence; that we must give an accounting to God for what we decide.”

“The recent election was principally decided out of concern for the economy, for the loss of jobs and homes and financial security for families, here and around the world. If the election is misinterpreted ideologically as a referendum on abortion, the unity desired by President-elect Obama and all Americans at this moment of crisis will be impossible to achieve,” said, Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), voiced hope for the Obama Administration but pointed to possible obstacles to our desired unity. http://www.usccb.org/comm/archives/2008/08-174.shtml

Pope Benedict XVI delivered this message at the general audience in St. Peter’s Square, Vatican City on November 12, 2008, “Our life in this world, marked by trials and tribulations, must be inspired by the hope of heaven and the expectation of our resurrection to glory.”  http://zenit.org/article-24235?l=english

If the abandonment of God and his public followers is the way to garner votes for the GOP, it is a sad reflection on our society.    Whether one defines themselves as Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Mormon, Muslim, Orthodox, Baptist or as she refers to the Evangelicals, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evangelicalism we should define ourselves in theocracy with the love of God and country and if that means wearing an armband for unborn children, then so be it.

“So while insulting G-O-D, she also insulted people like me. Like you. People who insist on infusing their faith into their politics. And that’s okay; I’d rather be in the oogedy-boogedy section of Heaven (God willing), than in the hoity-toity room of hell, where’s there possibly very little elbow room.”  http://actsoftheapostasy.blogspot.com/2008/11/rise-up-ye-oogedy-boogedy-of-god.html

“What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but to lose his soul?”

God Bless America.
