The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office projects that publicly held debt will reach 56.1 percent of GDP under current law. If President Obama’s budget is implemented, CBO projects debt to reach 82.4 percent of GDP  according to http://www.heritage.org/research/features/BudgetChartBook/Obama-Budget-Increase-Debt-26-Percent-GDP.aspx

You can keep track of our spending ways at the National Debt clock  http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/

While George Bush may not be a saint, but Obama is looking more and more like a sinner- spending more than any other President in history. The National Debt was $10.6-trillion on the day Barack Obama took office, if his budget projections come to fruition, he’ll run up nearly as much government debt in four years as President Bush did in eight.

From, A Pfennig for For your thoughts http://www.dailypfennig.com/ , “we’ll see the Budget Deficit, which is expected to be $180 Billion for the month of May… If it tallies there at $180 Billion, the Budget Deficit in the first 5 months of this year will have exceeded $650 Billion… And that’s before the $787 Stimulus gets added… And other items that will come along… And don’t forget that we posted a deficit in April!  I still believe the Budget Deficit will be at least $3 Trillion this year! That would push our National Debt to around $14 Trillion…” For a great explanation of “why do the annual federal budget deficits not match increases in the national debt,” visit http://www.independent.org/blog/?p=2355

Twice as nice for a Wednesday, both Trade Deficit and Budget Deficit will be released today. Ten Banks are going to repay their TARP (troubled assets relief program) funds, to the tune of nearly $70 billion, but that will barely put a dent in America’s economic decline, say nothing of the move toward socialized everything.

Senators Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)”vowed again Tuesday to vote against — and, if possible, filibuster — the troop-funding bill and all other legislation until they get their way,” according to http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/09/lieberman-graham-threaten_n_213262.html The hissy fit is over a photo amendment that would prevent the release of the Gitmo torture photos forever and ever.

“Transparency in government is an American value, but it is not without limits, no more than any of the values embraced in our Constitution,” Lieberman said. “The transparency in this case is needless and dangerous transparency.”

Their actions have merit.  The world does not need to see how low America stooped.  Too bad these two didn’t have the balls necessary during the campaign to warn that an Obama administration of transparency, would only come when it was convenient for Obama.  If nothing else, this Senate delay saves us a few bucks while the debate goes on.

According to CNN- President Barack Obama on Tuesday proposed making “pay-as-you-go” rules for federal spending into law.  The so-called PAYGO proposal requires Congress to balance any increased spending by equal savings elsewhere. By all accounts, added entitlement spending will be offset with spending cursor tax increases. Talk about bait and switch!

ABC points out, “discretionary spending – roughly 40% of the federal budget – is not covered by PAYGO.” The PAYGO rules will apply to new tax cuts and mandatory spending, with four major exemptions – any renewal of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, the continued efforts to “patch” the Alternative Minimum Tax, any effort to address physician’s payments in Medicare, and modifying the estate tax.” http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/06/president-obama-paygo-and-the-deficit-hole.html

“”This is like quitting drinking, but making an exception for beer and hard liquor,” said Maya MacGuineas, President of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB). “Exempting these measures from PAYGO would increase the ten-year deficit by over $2.5 trillion dollars. That’s not fiscal responsibility.” I’ll have a nice chardonnay please, and it better not be the frig from France.

60% of the budget is not subject to PAYGO.  Why is no one having a hissy fit over that?  While President Obama may enjoy a 60% approval rating, PAYGO and his expensive socialistic plans still don’t achieve his goals.  Bush might have spent a pretty dime, but at least is was shining in democracy.

props to http://chalktalk-talk.blogspot.com/2009/06/worldwide-national-debt.html on the Percent of GDP.  Japan debt is equally dismal especially in light of recent military actions on the part of it’s neighbor North Korea.   Obama who continues his spiel of climate change for jobs might want to take a look at Japans which “is doing the smart thing by not meeting it’s ‘Kyoto Protocol’ targets and is only pledging to cut it’s future CO2 emissions by 8%. Via http://motorcitytimes.com/mct/japan-will-protect-its-economy-first/  Right now they need jobs and so do we.

I think I”ll have a Saki instead of that chardonnay after all.

My share of I.O.U.S.A. debt leaves little room for more than a sip out of the White House Fountain.

I am just too f n tired to battle WordPress tonight as it deletes and eats my conservative posts regularly.  America dropped bombs launched from Iraqi soil and citizens are reported dead.  Democrats announced a 25% budget reduction in military spending today.  George Bush is still the President for the time being- making the best decisions he can, no matter what pundits have to say after he is out of office.

Russia is modernizing its missiles in response to US plans; while Obama in his own words says ” I will cut investments in Defense priorities, unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space.  I will slow our development of future combat systems.   And I will institute an independent “Defense Priorities Board” to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.” http://missilethreat.com/archives/id.7086/detail.asp   There is also a you tube video but embedding has been disabled by Obama for America.

MOSCOW (AP) Oct 22-2008– Russia’s efforts to upgrade its missile arsenals will help counter the planned U.S. missile defense sites in Europe, a top general said Wednesday.  Russia’s Strategic Missile Force chief, Col.-Gen. Nikolai Solovtsov, said the military will commission a new type of intercontinental ballistic missile and modify the existing missiles. Russia has denounced a U.S. plan to deploy a battery of 10 missile interceptors in Poland and a related missile defense radar in the Czech Republic, saying it threatened Russian security. It has dismissed the U.S. claim that the sites were intended to counter a prospective missile threat from Iran and was not aimed against Russia.  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081022/ap_on_re_eu/eu_russia_missiles

http://missilethreat.com/missilesoftheworld/  Countries almost from A-Z have ballistic missiles, from Argentina to Turkey and of course, the United States but Russian officials have threatened to point nuclear missiles at the countries that will allow U.S. missile defense sites on their territory.     May 16, 2008 “President Dmitry Medvedev made his debut as the commander in chief of Russia’s armed forces Thursday, touring a missile base and promising to provide the funding needed for nuclear forces to counter global threats.” http://www.1913intel.com/tag/missile-base/  Russia is ramping up its nuclear forces and Obama wants to reduce funding and encourage Russia to do the same saying that if they negotiate, we won’t have sanctions against them .  Russia does not need the United States.

Under President George Bush deployment of missile defense assets in significant numbers has already begun.  The are already in the ground in Alaska and California and at sea, additional Aegis ships and interceptors have been added, with plans calling for 40 SM-3 interceptors deployed aboard 16 Aegis ships.  Improvements to the command, control, battle management and communications system are being fielded, as well as significant additional radar and communications assets.  From The Army Times http://www.armytimes.com/community/opinion/navy_opinion_missiledefense_070625/Testing is a subject of considerable concern among friends and foes of missile defense. After restructuring its test program in 2005, the MDA had an impressive 13-for-14 record of successful flight tests in 2006. These tests included an Aegis SM-3 intercept of a separating warhead; a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense missile intercept of a unitary target; and, for the first time, an intercept of a threat-representative target with an operational ground-based interceptor using data from an operational early-warning radar along a likely threat trajectory.  As recently as August 2008, the Army reported http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/08/defense_thaad_081208/ Traveling thousands of meters per second, a 20-foot Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptor missile destroyed an advanced, separating warhead dummy target just beneath the 60-mile envelope of the Earth’s atmosphere off the cost of Hawaii during a June test at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kauai.  The test intercept marked the first time the THAAD and Aegis radar systems worked together in a tactical scenario against a separating warhead, Missile Defense Agency officials said”

According to Obama, missile defense is unproven?  13 out of 14 tests were successful hits!

Alaska, home to VP Sarah Palin has three Army Posts Fort Richardson, Fort Wainright and Fort Greely .Army’s Alaska Installation Guide http://mags.aqppublishing.com/showmag.php?mid=srrdr&spid=-2#/page2/ can be found here  and it resembles more of welcome to Alaska Welcome Wagon Publication thatn a Military publication.  The main website http://www.greely.army.mil/sites/local/  Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska is pretty well versed whith what is going on in her state and its relationships between the Armed Forces Group of IMCOM- Installation Management Command and SMDC, Space Missile Defense Command out of Colorado Springs, CO.  I have to believe she has more knowledge than That One, who as a Senator is doubtful to have ever even set foot in Alaska unless it was a fishing trip.

http://www.mda.mil/mdalink/pdf/thirdsite.pdf  list the highlights of the 6th Annual Missile Defense Conference headed by Lt. General Trey Obering, USAF Director on March 31st of 2008.  If Obama gets elected rather than fund Missile Defense, Obama according to his own website on page 12,  Enhance Military to Military Cooperation, Particularly in the Muslim World.  No wonder all of Asia want him to be elected.  http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/Defense_Fact_Sheet_FINAL.pdf

http://mags.aqppublishing.com/showmag.php?mid=srrdr&spid=-2#/page2/  Missile defense seems a fairly reliable, deployable asset in keeping America safe and yet Senator Obama is full of promises to sit down and talk with anyone willingly- with absolutely no preconceived notions that a country could have ulterior motives.  Azerbaijani mentioned he’d like to wipe Israel off the map and. “Ever since the 1991 Gulf War, Syria, Iran, Egypt and Iraq have been struggling to build offensive missile capability in the face of Israel’s growing nuclear arsenal. Israel is estimated to have as many as 400 atomic and hydrogen weapons. The Israeli Air Force has three squadrons equipped with Jericho nuclear-tipped missiles at the Sedot Mikha base, 45 km south of Tel-Aviv. They can reach all major Arab cities, Iran, and Russia. Israel also has a large number of gravity nuclear weapons, possibly including neutron bombs.  http://www.twf.org/News/Y1997/IsraelMissile.html  America also has a base on Isreali soil thanks to an agreement with President Bush.

“The campaigns are sparring over comments by Rev. Jesse Jackson arguing that Barack Obama’s foreign policy will mean an end to “decades of putting Israel’s interests first.” According to a report in the NY Post today, Jackson told an audience at the World Policy Forum in Evian, France last week that the  “Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades” will lose influence under an Obama administration.  “Obama is about change,” Jackson added. “And the change that Obama promises is not limited to what we do in America itself. It is a change of the way America looks at the world and its place in it.” http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/10/14/jackson-zionists-will-lose-influence-under-obama/

Just take another look at who is leading in the Polls  http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/Defense_Fact_Sheet_FINAL.pdf.

Based on this video, it’s no wonder the rest of the world thinks Americans are stupid.  It might be edited but it certainly proved a point as the answers are none-the-less idiotic and embarrassing. The entire world is full of stupid people who just have no idea what’s going on.   The entire world is also filled with bright, intelligent people who actually know where the Eiffel tower is and are educated enough to make the right decision in the voting booth.

It is scary thinking that some of these stupid people will be voting in less than a month for our next President.  It is these same stupid people who pay taxes though, aren’t they?  They raise families, work, shop, and vote.  I wonder if these are the quality of people ACORN sought out to register?  ACORN did manage to register Mickey Mouse after all and did it all on the stupid taxpayer’s dime.  Just watch how fast Obama distances himself from ACORN now.

These same passerby American masses are being led to the voting booth by their TV sets and what the media has to say.  One web site http://www.untwistedvortex.com/2007/03/18/freakin-stupid-americans/ refers to Americans as Sheeples, ” (people that act like sheep) who believe everything they’re told by a religion, a government, or the mass media.”

Statements like…..If your a Catholic you should vote McCain.  Baptists should go for Obama. Are you black? Vote Obama.  White people go for McCain.  Poor for Obama, and rich folks for McCain.  (we are all a little poorer since Sept 1, eh?)  Conservatives for McCain. Liberals for Obama.  I like Rush so I am voting McCain.  No wait-I like Sean Hannity who favors McCain but then again I really like Alan Colmes so I’ll vote for Obama.  Stupid labels and stupid people who are led to believe what they are told from people they have supposedly come trust and like, their God, their government, their TV sets…..Sheeples, indeed.

Comments on the net offer intelligent reasons to vote for McCain like  I like John McCain because he has balls and on McCain/Palin. when he dies and she becomes president we can finally have someone hot to put on our money )from Amy Robinson’s Web logs http://amyrobinson.wordpress.com/ survey on who are you going to vote for and why.  I guess those answers are silly but at least some stupid Americans have a sense of humor.

“Our population is being dumbed down, literally, with Madonna, wedding cakes, crazy dogs doing tricks, people getting shot and then killing some other dude.  How can we compete as a nation when CNN, that fawning imbecile, and the other purveyors fill our heads with trivia dredged from People magazine, TMZ, YouTube, or the local police blotter? ?”  http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/10/19/125148/65

There are indeed a lot of reasons not to continue the Republican Regime in the Presidency, but the real reasons to vote for McCain outweigh the reasons to not vote for Obama.  Maligned questions from the last debate give little content as to who you might consider voting for.  On looks and appearances Obama has mass appeal, but the intellectualized content of his message of “spreading the wealth around” is getting lost on most Americans who have no idea the definition of socialism and its impact on democracy.  I wonder if people even know the difference?

Tonight brings us another debate, this one brought to you by Budweiser, formally a USA conglomerate.  {my acronym for Budweiser—Because you deserve what every individual should enjoy regularly.]   This Final Face Off debate will hopefully have more information than fluff but that probably won’t happen.  From the San Francisco news http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/10/13/ED1T13G6CH.DTL  Apparently, there is a confidential agreement between presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama that is 31 pages of rules and regulations as to how things will proceed and perhaps what is off limits to talk about.  Sadly, whatever the limits are, its secret contents are secret, and have not been released.  Whatever the contents and guidelines are, they certainly influence a major aspect of the debate for the upcoming election.  There will be catchy phrases and trust me, vote for me smiles but we already know, little of what those of us with some intelligence really want to hear will not be spoken about tonight.

Most of the reports have Obama as winning already. In the UK the Guardian Newspaper’s Headline says “Looks good for Obama so Prepare for Defeat “- http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/blog/2008/oct/14/uselections2008-barackobama “A 72-year-old with skin cancer, a bad temper and a hockey mum waiting a heartbeat away on the bench, now that’s frightening.”   Bloomberg says” -Obama is likely to pick up 364 Electoral College votes, far surpassing the 270 needed to claim the presidency, by winning battleground states including Virginia, Ohio, Florida, and Colorado, online traders say. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=anBlDxpbPJpA&refer=home .  http://www.pollster.com/ has Obama 320 to 155 for McCain.

Polls aside, Obama’s character is suspect.  An article from the Washington Post and featured on the Philly dot com  http://www.philly.com/philly/opinion/30881014.html goes on to say “But associations are important. They provide a significant insight into character. They are particularly relevant in relation to a potential president as new, unknown, opaque and self-contained as Obama. With the economy overshadowing everything, it may be too late politically to be raising this issue. But that does not make it, as conventional wisdom holds, in any way illegitimate.”   McCain’s campaign camp in his “play nice” demeanor has not brought his less than reputable associations from The Reverend Jeremiah Wright to unrepentant Ayers.  WHY NOT?

On mere stupidity alone, “That One” might actually get elected POTUS.
