Obama Commencement at Notre Dame is No Touchdown For Jesus

President Barack Hussein Obama will deliver the commencement address at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., today.   Among outrage and protests, the Catholic university will also bestow upon him a Doctor of Laws honorary degree.  President Obama has made clear he stands against what most Catholics believe in- obfuscating everything from traditional marriage to abortion. 

The Catholic Bishops summed it up pretty clearly, “The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.”  http://www.usccb.org/bishops/catholicsinpoliticallife.shtml  So much for playing by the rules!

Pardon me while I vomit.  “…heal it’s division of religion…”? ND  is a Roman Catholic School, a religious school, there is no decisiveness, no division, and the sanctity of life is paramount at Notre Dame and for Catholics.  Surely Catholics have abortions, but celebrating a man who once called pregnancy a mistake out of wedlock is just misguided in so many ways. 

I can’t wait to hear his speech and wonder if at the end he will say, “God Bless America?”  Should the TelePrompter fail perhaps he will have slip of the tongue and say “God Damn America,” after listening to Rev Wright’s sermons for so many years. 

Touchdown Jesus, must certainly be crying on this day.  For us football fans pray too that we see a season of successful Hail Mary’s on and off the field.

Obama O’s Cereal – General Mills and Cheerios gains FDA Approval

Reacting quickly, Cheerios- the best-selling cereal in the world, is taking advantage of the Obama administration’ s admonishment.  General Mills will be issuing a new cereal to be named Obama O’s, of course -in specially marked boxes.  In compliance with the FDA,  OBama O’s will have absolutely no health claims.  

Obama O’s cereal will be made with Stevia.   In marketing the new sugar, this new sweetener is derived from the leaf of an herb called Stevia.  Consumer demand for so called natural products continues to grow, even in this mind boggling deficit and season of bailouts.  The sugar alternative is also known as Truvia and PureVia.

Cheerios and OBama O’s couldn’t have bought the kind of advertising and commentary it is receiving after the FDA sent a letter to General Mills Inc.  The letter scolded the company for violations and gave it 15 days to change the claims that the iconic ‘Os’ may lower cholesterol and help to treat heart disease.

With Obama slipping a bit in the polls, his advisor’s felt this the right time to allow the release of OBama O’s to the nation.  The O’s in the New OBama O’s cereal will be dyed red, white and blue.  The dye will be similar to the renewable, vegetable-based inks that was used for coloring easter eggs on the White House Lawn.  Those toasted O’ s will remain their crunchy texture unless the milk come from injected rBGH- growth hormone cows. The FDA fast tracked its approval at the President’s request. 

Plans are in the works for OBama O’s to correspond to the ad campaign for the Olympic Rings. ““The Obama White House is playing an unprecedented role in the bid to bring the 2016 Summer Olympics to Chicago, with top adviser Valerie Jarrett spearheading an effort that draws on the international symbolism of his presidency,” Politico writes, adding that “the emerging effort by the White House is unusually pointed in its attempt to wrap the campaign around the president and his appealing image abroad.”

While no one has ever seen President Obama’s birth certificate or medical records, by all accounts he appears fit enough to bow down to kings and most certainly presentable as setting a fine example of the American judicial and political system.   General Mills approached President Obama to lend his endorsement in lieu of a court injunction and or product seizure.  Obama O’s will be served at all state events. 
 
Obama previously said, “Why can’t I just eat my waffle?” –after being asked a foreign policy question by a reporter while visiting a diner in Pennsylvania.  Press Secretary Gibbs today, noted that in keeping with a great American Tradition, food products today aren’t as  healthy as its packaging leads shoppers to believe.

Cheerios Conspiracy & FDA Corruption

cheeriosWhose feathers got ruffled enough to think Cheerios is a drug?  The egg industry?  The pork industry?  The pharmaceutical industry?  The FDA?

Promoting Cheerios as a drug that can lower cholesterol is going too far says the FDA.   “Based on claims made on your product’s label, we have determined that your Cheerios Toasted Whole Grain Oat Cereal is promoted for conditions that cause it to be a drug because the product is intended for use in the prevention, mitigation, and treatment of disease.” The agency takes special issue with these claims:  “you can Lower Your Cholesterol 4% in 6 weeks.” 

What a bunch of crapola.  An apple a day helps keep the doctor away, carrots are good for your eyes, lycopine in tomatoes reduces the risk of cancer, coffee is a diuretic, splenda food products cause diarrhea, etc.  A lot of food has heath benefits and warnings, but the Obama FDA Administration has gone after General Mills.

Avoiding bacon and eggs for breakfast everyday, and substituting Cheerios or any other reasonably good for you cereal couldn’t hurt in reducing cholesterol either.  The current box on my shelf has the disclaimer that says, ” MAY reduce the risk of heart attack.” The box also features an ad campaign Cheerios Circle of Helping Hearts, donating  $1 toward cholesterol screening for women in need.  www.cheerioshlepinghearts.com .  Considering Heart disease is the #1 cause of death among women, I’d say it a rather noble cause.

From the Harvard School of Health, study after study shows “Soluble fiber helps lower cholesterol. Insoluble fiber helps move waste through the digestive tract. Fiber may also kindle the body’s natural anticoagulants and so help prevent the formation of small blood clots that can trigger heart attacks or strokes.” http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/what-should-you-eat/health-gains-from-whole-grains/index.html.

Why did the FDA cross the road to go after one of America’s best loved breakfast food?   Mounting pressure from the egg and pork industry due to recent viral contaminations has everyone concerned.  The pork industry, already strained from recent outbreaks of the H1N1 flu virus, which is politically incorrect to call the Mexican Swine Flu Virus, prefers you eat bacon or sausage breakfast.

The Incredible Edible Egg.  Despite working hard to convince the world that Chinese food is safe, recently Hong Kong found traces of melamine in some eggs imported from China -“Select Fresh Brown Eggs” were 88% higher than the safety threshold allowed for the chemical.  China and the US are the leaders in egg production.  The egg industry hardly wants to hear about egg substitutes or eating tofu instead.  Neither industry want to hear about vegetarians!  http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/05/chickens-obama-white-house-may.html notes May 4, “International Respect for Chickens Day. A huge benefit from the Egg Industry lies in the production of vaccines.  Vaccines like the one’s the CDC Mandates for Children.  Obama is suggesting this fall all Americans receive three flu vaccines- one for the seasonal flu and two for the Swine Flu.    Mary Tacco’s site reiterates some of the vaccine concerns referencing  Dr. John Martin, former FDA administrator  ” These viruses fail to be recognized by the immune system and lead to neuropsychiatric illness including but not limited to autism.   He believes that the autism epidemic is due to an infectious component and not just thimerosal. (Much like the MMR infection – autism connection.) Also he states that our FDA and our government’s own vaccine studies found the cytomegalovirus DNA, which is from the African green monkeys (simian monkey virus) in the polio vaccination given to all Americans prior to 1992.  Instead of informing the public and taking responsibility for this, they covered it up.  Many doctors believe that the Aids epidemic is the product of these and other vaccines. ”  http://www.marytocco.com/vaccinefacts.htm

Is the FDA’s attack on Cheerios motivated by political donations?  Lobbying matters, don’t kid yourself. 2008 reports from www.opensecrets.com

Total For Food Processing & Sales: $6,700,516— Subtotal for Parent General Mills: $769,300—  Total For Crop Production & Basic Processing: $5,265,275— Subtotal for Parent Food Marketing Institute: $6,248,130— Subtotal for Parent Smithfield Foods: $350,000— Total For Poultry & Eggs: $841,342— The United Egg Producers $80,000— Subtotal for Parent National Chicken Council: $120,000.

The numbers pale in comparison to the Pharmaceuticals/Health Products lobby efforts pending, $235,315,408,  the subtotal for Parent Pharmaceutical Rsrch & Mfrs of America: $20,220,000.  Frig that knowledge is power- money talks.  The money trail to who has the power over what you eat must certainly be influenced by the FDA who’s member have ties primarily to the pharmaceutical industry- not the agricultural, egg, pork, dairy, chicken industries.  “Recent press reports revealed extensive evidence of serious wrongdoing by Dr. Andrew von Eschenbach, Dr. Frank M. Torti, top FDA attorneys, center and office directors, and many others in prominent positions of authority at FDA. As a result, Dr. Frank M. Torti, acting commissioner and the FDA’s first chief scientist, abruptly left the Agency,” writes http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/content/view/16742/

The FDA regulates products that represent about 25 percent of every consumer dollar spent. During the Bush administration, the agency was widely criticized for making decisions based on politics, not science.  NPR is reporting, “A Senate committee has approved President Obama’s nomination of Dr. Margaret Hamburg to be the next commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration. Lord know how much was spend on the propaganda of animal rights groups concerned with how chickens, pigs, cows and other animals are treated. “Recombinant bovine growth hormone, or rBGH, is injected into dairy cows to artificially increase their milk production. The hormone has not been properly tested for safety. Milk labeled rBGH-free is produced by dairy cows that never received injections of this hormone.”Milk lobbyists pointed out that the Food and Drug Administration considers the artificial hormone to be safe (although many scientists believe it may cause cancer). Oh no- I add milk to my cheerios.  A double drug whammy for sure.

I don’t know where General Mills gets the grain to make Cheerios, but I’d  bet that it is sprayed with some sort of pesticide.  There are health and safety risks to producing any food product.  Just ask the peanut industry and tomato growers with salmonella outbreaks.  Animals get antibiotics, and all sorts of injections to make them grow, increase production, alter immune systems – the same as humans, eh?

If a spread of the Avian Influenza (AI) virus cannot be stopped and the H1N1 flu mutates or becomes Pandemic 6; you can bet your sweet petuti consumers are going to refrain from eating poultry, meat and eggs- and maybe even beef, no matter what the FDA, CDC and WHO tell you. 

To think that the FDA has nothing else to worry about than Cheerios being a drug, only reinforces dereliction from The Obama Administration.  How many illegal drugs come into this country everyday?  Could we focus on that?

I wonder if mom’s of boys who use cheerios for kids to aim at during potty training are worried about the potential hazards? Better switch to Lucky charms–lol

Swine Flu Kills Kermit The Frog- Miss Piggy in Isolation

Kermit The Frog has succumbed to death from the H1N1 Influenza Swine Flu. 

There were rumors over the years that Kermit he overdosed on Heroine and fatally shot himself  http://www.thespoof.com/news/spoof.cfm?headline=s2i3170 , but Kermit was alive and on the mend after attending the Cookie Monster’s Rehab Center on Sesame Street.

Most recently he and his divorced wife, Miss Piggy and their seven” frigs -hybrid offspring as the result of a frog and a pig procreating,” had been seen at Chuckie Cheese rekindling their romance kissing and holding hands while the children played. 

Listening to the CDC warnings that H1N1 virus could not be transmitted by pig, or unprotected sex with a pig; autopsy reports have shown he was indeed a victim of Swine Flu.  Kermit’s case is the first mutation of  bird, pig, human, frog mutation. Results are inconclusive if Kermit was sneaking BLT sandwiches for lunch and could also not rule out tainted tomatoes.  The CDC is informing people not to consume raw or undercooked frog legs.   There is no known vaccination for this new strain.  He was found alone in his apartment after the mailman noticed a foul odor and large stack of fan mail in front of his door.

Miss Piggy and the frigs are in isolation and treatments of Relenza and Tamiflu are being administered.  They appear to be recovering.  Miss Piggy was up and about telling jokes.

“Why can’t Miss Piggy count to 100? ‘Cause at 69 she gets a frog in her throat,”  she said, tears streaming in grief. 

The entire staff of the Muppet Show was sadden to learn of such a tenacious actor who affected so many you people’s lives.  They were grateful that he had not been on the set to infect anyone else.  Oscar The Grouch has moved to the streets of California where recyclable trashcans prevent the flu virus from permeating to its occupants.

A member of The Green Party, he had recently been an adviser to Al Gore and President Obama on creating more wet land habitats for frogs during the recent Land Management Grab Act. 

Kermit had also traveled on vacation to see Miss Piggy’s relatives outside Mexico City, ignoring travel warnings from Joe Biden.

Piglet, of Winnie the Pooh fame has been keeping his distance from co-workers as well, noting that he has received a restraining order from Christopher Robin.  He intends to partake in the eulogy.

Kermit the Frog was preceded in death by his father Jim Henson, who did not die of Swine Flu.  Funeral arrangements are pending with mourners asked in lieu of flowers to sign a petition to save all of the frogs that are getting run over and harmed by humans at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/42/help-save-the-frogs-that-get-run-over .  Or conservation biologist Kerry Kriger, who in reality researches to prevent the extinction of wildlife populations including frogs. http://www.savethefrogs.com/kerrykriger.html

Swine Flu is Bad, Pig is Good

“Bacon tastes good, Pork Chops tastes good. A sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie but I’d never know cause I’d never eat the filthy mother fu%^er.” God love Quentin Tarantino and the domestic pig- Sus scrofa.  Tarantino’s new movie  Inglourious Basterds, is about a band of Jewish-American soldiers on a scalp-hunting revenge quest against the Nazis which is to have its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20.  The film may or may not have pigs in it.

All those holier than thou folks that avoid pig have no idea just how good pig tastes let alone how much the pig has provided for humanity.  Besides being one of the most commonly consumed meats, we use almost every part of the pig for one thing or another.

Bones & skin are used for glue, pigskin garments, gloves, shoes and footballs.  Hair is used for artist’s brushes, insulation, upholstery. Dried bones are used for buttons, bone china.  Pigs are a source of nearly 40 drugs and pharmaceuticals such as insulin. Animal insulins saved millions of lives.   Pig heart valves are surgically implanted in humans to replace diseased valves.

Recipients of pig valves to repair heart damage put religious beliefs aside when it comes to saving their own ass.

The Jews and surprisingly, Christians are forbidden from eating pork. Here is a quote from the Old Testament to that effect: “And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.” Deuteronomy 14:8

The 3,000 year old Confucian Book of Rites says, “A gentleman does not eat the flesh of pigs and dogs.” Ancient China recognized pork-eating as the root of many human ailments. Buddhists, Jains and Hindus usually avoid eating any kind of meat. The verses 2:173, 5:3, 6:145, and 16:115 of the Qur’an forbids Muslims by God to eat the meat of the pig.

Seeing as so many religions bar the eating of pig, it’s no wonder the pig is often a lucky charm, sort of a rabbits foot if you will-in Germany, Austria, England, and Ireland, as well as some Anglo Americans. The tradition is that pigs bring good luck — especially at the New Year — is apparently Teutonic in origin.The Chinese Zodiac says those born in the Year of The Pig are is a fun and enlightening personality blessed with patience and understanding. People born under the sign of the Pig enjoy life and all it has to offer, including family and friends.

Twenty countries have banned imports of pigs, pork and other meat in response to the H1N1 flu strain that has infected both people and swine. This despite the fact that the Centers for Disease Control and others have made it clear that swine influenza viruses are not transmitted by food and you cannot get the flu from eating pork or pork products.The National Pork Producers Council has a flurry of new ads reminding people that pork is safe. pork is safe

H1N1 Swine Flu is indeed a revolution in genetic mutation that appears to have been created and released in a lab in Russia or China, not from a pig in Mexico.  How science and governments find a solution is yet to be determined.  In the mean time, give me my eggs and bacon for breakfast, a hot sausage sandwich smothered in peppers and onions and pork chops for dinner.  Note to self- remember cholesterol meds.

Yep, pig is good.  The flu, not so good.

For counter-terrorism and other purposes such as border security and fraud prevention, U.S. Citizens are required to have Passports.  Summer vacation travel is just ahead, and no doubt Immigration and Customs Enforcement will keep track of your comings and goings, primarily swiping the bar code.  On my last visit to Canada, no one bothered to place a governmental stamp on our Passports; much to my children’s chagrin, who wanted proof that they were there.

According to a Fox report today, in June RFID -Radio Frequency Identifications will be in use at the Canadian border for frequently border crossings under a program called eGo starting June 1st.  RFID windscreen sticker tags and driver identification cards, as well as installing inspection booth reader equipment have been in the works since 2003 for  99 FAST( Free and Secure Trade) lanes across 22 border crossings.  http://www.usingrfid.com/news/read.asp?lc=m12627kx53zz

In a separate computer system, The State Department maintains a huge data base of  Passport Records including documents, photographs and information attached to passport applications and renewals.  Records like your “application for a passport and copies of any supporting documents like birth or marriage certificates. That application has your address, Social Security number, phone number, the name and number of your emergency contact and your photograph…. No big deal until one realizes that the huge separate database ran by the Bureau of Consular Affairs also allows the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Counter-Terrorism Center, “foreign governments, and entities such as Interpol” to link into the same system. I do not believe The Privacy Act extends beyond our borders.   Passport identification and authentication systems should be held securely by the government which issues the documentation.  What happened to the Bill of Rights? 

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Without warrant, your data is available for the world and all its hackers and identity thieves.  It would appear that no U.S. Government Agency or foreign need to seek permission to access or distribute your personal information. The more the access, the more risk to vulnerability. Civil society would dictate you own your own data and that you take reasonable steps to keep things like your social security number private.  While many citizens think securities necessary, do the provisions of The Bill of Rights and The Constitution still apply?  Are Americans are becoming far too accustomed to having their privacy violated?  Are are borders really Constitution Free Zones as suggested by the ACLU?  Does your name appear on the 1.2 million person Terrorist Watch List along with Nelson Mandella, or U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy? http://www.aclu.org/privacy/spying/watchlistcounter.html

In the UK Biometrics identification and national I.D. cards will be potentially operated by the Post Office and drug stores. Science has used eggs for years to grow vaccines but what if the eggs are from Avian Flu or H1N1 viral carriers?  The CDC’s own documentation shows reassortment of viruses in ducks, chickens, and turkeys- all egg layers.   Whether it is reverse genetics or creating a hybrid strain through a re-assortment of genes; vaccine work by tricking the immune system into thinking it has been infected with a virus so that it creates antibodies against it.” says the BBC.  It all sounds well and good until you think of the Legionnaire’s Swine Flu outbreak where the vaccine caused more deaths than the virus itself. The top 20 drug corporations and the industry’s two trade groups, PhRMA and the Biotechnology Industry Organization, which represents biomedicine companies must be frantic with their lobbying to encourage federal funding and authorization for the Swine Flu Shot.  I can see the education campaign now with commercials placed right in the middle of Anderson Cooper CNN’s report or an emergency broadcast alert in the middle of announcing the Idol winner.  How’s that for government propaganda?

Smallpox is the only human infectious disease to have been completely eradicated yet, “This press release at MSNBC discusses the intent of SIGA Technologies to respond to a recent U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) RFP for treatment courses for people infected with smallpox. This is the latest in a series of contracts related to preparations for outbreaks of diseases either due to biological attack or pandemics. In January the U.S. government teamed with Novartis to begin construction of a factory to produce flu vaccines in vast quantities. For almost twenty years the U.S. military has been buying and issuing anthrax vaccines and Emergent Biosolutions that produces that for them and other government agencies. The greater challenge will be tracking any adverse reactions as millions of Americans get multiple vaccinations in a matter of months this fall and winter. “There will be adverse effects to any vaccine. Suddenly the panic button is pushed,  pandemic levels raised, health emergencies declared and as the H1N1 flu continues to spread, the lead story from Google blogs this morning;- Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Manny Ramirez has been suspended 50 games for testing positive under Major League Baseball’s drug policy. No mention of the flu til page 4- some 40 topics behind. 

Baseball is a game full of cheating- doctoring baseballs, cork bats, watering home plate, steroid use.  The medical community that researches the various Flu’s appear to be in the same league with cheating, but no one is investigating them.  Congressional hearings on steroids- howzabout a hearing on the flu industry?

Ramirez took the banned substance HCG, human chorionic gonadotropin,  prescribed to stimulate female fertility and testosterone production in men and to treat delayed puberty in boys.  Humph, more likely to stop his balls from shriveling up to eventually looking like a couple of raisins.

Who has the biggest balls of them all?  The CDC.- touting that the latest H1N1 virus is the first reassortment genotype virus- a mutation of bird, pig and human.  Bullshit. Ramirez is way past puberty to take HCG, and CDC ought to start reading some of it own documented case of re-assorted viruses.

In January of 2004, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) began experiments designed to combine the H5N1 virus and human flu viruses and then see how the resulting hybrids affect animals. The goal is to assess the chances that such a “reassortant” virus will emerge and how dangerous it might be.  The agency already has made hybrid viruses with H5N1 samples isolated from patients in Hong Kong in 1997, when the virus first caused human disease.

A lab?  So much security.  Score one for the conspiracy theorists, eh?  These same “Biologists say there’s a good chance that the emerging flu strain could establish itself as the dominant strain of influenza in future flu seasons.”  Nothing like blaming the Russians or the Chinese.  Is Baxter Pharmaceutical to blame with a manufacturing plant 50 miles outside of Mexico City.  What about the concerns about potential construction or design flaws designed to contain the world’s most dangerous germs like smallpox and Ebola viruses at the CDC’s Bio safety Level 4 labs in Atlanta?  http://www.ajc.com/wednesday/content/metro/stories/2008/05/15/cdclabs_0515.html
 
That takes some big balls to tell the public the flu was created in a lab, the tests don’t work, the vaccine doesn’t work, the drugs don’t work, while we provide tax dollars to buy the drugs and vaccines, and then ask the public to get a flu shot.
 
Baseball is not a game of life and death.  At least Ramirez is taking his punishment like a man whatever is going on with his balls.  I am thinking, the CDC is lying, manipulating facts and has so far, failed miserably to inform the public of the facts only playing the game of fear.  I’d rather play baseball or go to a game, the odds are better no one will lie about the score.  Too bad I have to wait 50 games to see Ramirez.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will begin collecting genetic sequences of swine flu found on pig farms in the future, says Nancy Cox director of the influenza division at the CDC.  The News Observer http://www.newsobserver.com/news/story/1510217.html  is reporting, and “the new H1N1 virus contains strains from past swine viruses.  Just yesterday, Canadian scientists completed the full genetic sequencing of the H1N1 swine flu virus, http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090506/wl_canada_afp/healthflucanadascience_20090506170314  and reports, ” lab work  appears to suggest that there’s nothing at the genetic level that differentiates this virus that we’ve got from Mexico and those from Nova Scotia and Ontario.  Whew, there doesn’t appear to be a genetic drift, just bad luck.   Nothing to worry about; just the first ever mutation of pig, bird, and human virus.

Scientists have been busy mapping the human genome, where, “A genetic linkage map shows the relative locations of specific DNA markers along the chromosome. Any inherited physical or molecular characteristic that differs among individuals and is easily detectable in the laboratory is a potential genetic marker. http://www.ornl.gov/sci/techresources/Human_Genome/publicat/primer/prim2.html  Humans and animals are a reassortment of our parents but susceptible to variations internally and environmentally.  Birth defects, autism, cancers, food supplies, personal choice, and access to heath care all influence mortality. Throw in the possibility of man made disease or germ warfare and population control comes to mind.

The International HapMap Project http://www.hapmap.org/  studies  human genetic variation and the Encyclopedia of DNA Elements, or ENCODE  http://www.genome.gov/10005107  project.  Note that ENCODE is just one letter away from ENDCODE.  For all intents and purposes, the Human Genome project is complete, but could sciences manipulation of genes and genetic markers result in the END of mankind, civilization as we know it?   Will your government now begin to automatically collect human DNA at birth for genetic sequencing?  Do they already?  Is ENCODE really ENDGAME?

Would they mutate your DNA, mix it with a dog and see what happens like in the movie Shaggy Dog,where experiments turn the dad into a dog?  They say everyone has a twin, were you cloned like the Dolly the sheep?  Could you be recreated in the lab after death? 

What about the legal, ethical and social implications in humans? (ELSI)

India has all but accused America of engineering the flu, accusing  the U.S. government of seeking a monopoly on controlling the virus for two reasons.
