Restoring Honor in America with God, Lincoln, MLK & Beck

Glenn Beck delivered an unprecedented punch Saturday at his Restore Honor Rally.  Watching on UStream Live, at times it seemed like I was at Church, hearing a homily about patriotism and the intertwining of God in the founding of America. Just like as it often happens in church, towards then end I am getting bored.

Flipping channels, I also saw Reverend Al Sharpton’s Reclaim the Dream Rally.  Clearly, Glenn Beck’s Restore Honor Rally created much more fervor in the hearts of attendees with a much larger turnout.

Sharpton never really caught up, in as much as the mainstream media did it’s best to discredit Beck and make it look like there was a larger turnout for Sharpton.

Pretty neat photograph to illustrate just how small this frog is.  Wait a minute, why is “In God We Trust,” blurry?  The top of Lincoln’s head seems to be intact, but not the words.

The photo is credited to Indranil Das, an independent documentary photographer based in Kolkata, India. He travels widely to document the rich and wide variety of socio – political – economic scenarios prevailing in India.  (http://www.lightstalkers.org/indranil-das) 

Perhaps Mr. Das is a non-believer in God.  Does it matter if Das is a Hindu or a Baptist?  A penny is a penny.  A frog is a frog. Why take the effort to remove the words that are clearly there? In God We Trust.  Is God taboo?  Beck, Sharpton and others sure don’t think so.

The Microhyla nepenthicola, is Asia’s smallest frog.  It is all rather ironic that an acronym for F.R.O.G. is, Finally Relying On God.

Beck is a Mormon, Sharpton is a Pentecostal/Baptist, and the jury still debates what President Obama’s religion is.  I don’t know what religion Abe Lincoln was but, “Lincoln read the Bible regularly and was committed to God and morality throughout his life. Let’s hope the spirit of Abe Lincoln and Martin Luther King, and the words of Glenn Beck and Al Sharpton bring America together, in the name of God to do what is right, just and moral in this Republic.  We are, one nation under God.

Mexico Border Terror Alert, Fix The Fence, Stop The Oil Leak

As Arizona’s immigration policy does what the federal government won’t, The Department of Homeland Security has now declared a Terror Alert along the Mexico U.S. border.

The Department of Homeland Security is alerting Texas authorities to be on the lookout for a suspected member of the Somalia-based Al Shabaab terrorist group who might be attempting to travel to the U.S. through Mexico, a security expert who has seen the memo tells FOXNews.com. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/05/26/terror-alert-mexican-border/

It is akin to an all points bulletin and searching for a needle in a haystack.  While your looking for terrorists would you mind stopping a few of those Mexican illegal immigrants who are still flocking to border states like Arizona and Texas. Obama and other elected officials have publicly admitted to not reading the bill, yet cry wolf and ignore the problems.

An administration official confirmed to Fox News that Obama plans to deploy the National Guard troops as needed.  Mr. President, with all due respect, “as needed” would be right the frig now.  Sending some 1,200 troops is a flea on a camel’s ass- insignificant.

Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., said he’s heard that “the 1,200 border patrol troops are, in effect, desk jobs.” “They aren’t boots on the ground at the border,” he said, adding that “they were not intended to be deployed to the border.” http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/05/25/obama-deploy-national-guard-troops-mexico-border/

Will the National Guard be stationed right on the line, with bullets in their guns and the authority to defend themselves? Almost certainly not. The border is a “combat zone,” says T.J. It has gotten so bad that Americans are leaving fleeing their homes to get away from the border.

The fence building has stopped.

Police officers are being shot.

Pinal County sheriff’s Lt. Tamatha Villar says the deputy suffered a superficial wound to his abdomen after being shot with an AK-47 assault rifle Friday afternoon.

Shot by an AK-47.  I doubt the police or any farmer is packing an AK-47 for protection and enforcement. Don’t go and blame the 2nd amendment and gun retailers.

The Modular Aerial Spray System on Air Force Reserve Command C-130 aircraft

The President just finished  a brief tour of touchy feel good town hall type visits to places like Youngstown, Ohio. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2010/05/18/obamas_remarks_on_the_economy_in_youngstown_105631.html Home of the U.S. Air Force Reserve C-130 Hercules of the 910th Airlift Wing at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, this is the only base in America that has aerial chemical sprayers.  Yes, chemtrails.

These planes are being loaded with dispersants to quell the oil spill in the Gulf.  Obama is scheduled to visit New Orleans on Friday, but his handlers may alter his plans due to the area being, ” hazardous to his health.”

The U.S. Coast Guard has pulled commercial fishing boats from oil cleanup efforts in Breton Sound off the Louisiana coast after several people became ill.  The Coast Guard says crew members on three vessels reported nausea, dizziness, headaches and chest pains Wednesday afternoon. Four people were hospitalized, including one who was flown to a hospital.

The Coast Guard told all 125 commercial vessels that were helping clean up spilled oil to return to shore. Obama to Release Birth Certificate in Hawaii

President Obama will release his birth certificate while on his Hawaiian vacation!  You believe that, I’ve got some carbon credits to sell, cheap! 

Interrupting his vacation in Hawaii for the second time, instead he spoke about the Christmas attempted airplane bombing.

“Had this critical information been shared, it could have been compiled with other intelligence, and a fuller, clearer picture of the suspect would have emerged,” Obama said in a brief statement to the media. “The warning signs would have triggered red flags, and the suspect would have never been allowed to board that plane for America.”  Officials said Obama chose to make a second statement in as many days because a morning briefing offered him new information in the government’s possession about the suspect’s activities and thinking, along with al-Qaida’s plans.http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9CTB5BG0&show_article=1

While in Hawaii, President Obama ought to put an end to all the birther arguments that he is not a usurper, but we all know that is not going to happen.  As he mentions in his press statement- “intelligence for a clear picture,” the red flags still exist regarding his citizenship.  Numerous court cases have challenged President Obama’s natural born citizenship under Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution that says that the president be a “natural born citizen.”  Only he can make them go away.

Hawaii officials haven’t helped matters, issuing statements claiming that they have President Obama’s authenticated copy- alas, not an original as they made the switch to electronic documents years ago.  So what kind of document has fact check been presenting all this time?  A forgery? Berg, Wells, Donofrio, Martin and others have sought to use the courts in a reasonable, mostly respectful  manner to require President Obama to produce his birth certificate.  Obama continues to waste the courts time and money to keep it sealed.  What is there to hide.  The Truth?

Rallies and Protests with guns? Organize militias?  The Tea Party mentality of today does not advocate violence against anyone, only peaceable change mainly by voting out officials.  Maybe she posted drunk on eggnog? Whatever credibility she had, is gone.

Hence, if Obama was not born in the United States, under the Fourteenth Amendment he is neither a United States citizen by birth on United States soil nor one by naturalization. (There is no existing evidence that Obama was ever naturalized.) Nor would he qualify to be a United States citizen by any act of Congress by being born abroad to a United States citizen parent. If this scenario were proven to be true (being neither a born nor a naturalized citizen), it can be reasonably argued that Obama is an undocumented alien. Obama has refused to release his identity documents to the public which causes such theories to exist. It is this reason which shows the importance of the American people being able to access Obama’s records (birth certificate, travel, education, and employment records) to intelligently learn his exact citizenship status. Surely, the United States cannot have a possible undocumented alien be its President. People must keep pressing Obama that he releases his personal documents so that they may at least learn that the President is at least a “citizen of the United States” which again still does not make him an Article II “natural born Citizen.”

Imagine the merits or detriments that could occur if President Obama himself, personally went to collect his birth certificate with the news media in tow.  That would make a wonderful way to begin the New Year, with truth, honesty, integrity and transparency.

Republican Rebound, Voters Loud and Clear

Voter turnout for election was far greater than what was projected.  Clearly the words and opinions of Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity have been heard.  The path of destruction under democratic party leadership has been derailed, as Republicans are on the rebound with victory  in key states.

As an election judge at our local polls, turnout was better than 50% in our precinct.  Previously a poll observer, this was the first time I have worked as an official.  I have to tell you, props go to ACORN for finding ways to deceive and influence an election because the sanctity of the voting process in our state is as tight as a flea’s ass.   Double and triple checking of id’s, addresses, etc., pissed of one out of thousands of voters.  The machines worked, the ballots were in English and all was fine.

Dropping off the votes was almost like pulling into a FEMA camp with tight security.  Do not exit your vehicle, hand over the master record of the votes, open your trunk for an officer to remove the voting materials, sign here that you verify everything is on the up and up.  Rather an intimidating and successful means of participating in the democracy that makes this nation great.

Congratulations to the winners.  More importantly congratulations to the voters for taking the time to speak out loud and clear in the voting booth against the gross injustices that the democrats have procured upon the United States of America.

Fireworks, Oh Say Can You See

4th of July parades, fireworks and a Tea Party prevent the usual rant on world affairs.   Wonderfully written from the Graceport blog:

“I think I was in Junior High when I really read the poem that had become our National Anthem. The first stanza is dripping with imagery that pierces my heart. Imagine for a moment Francis Scott Key was standing before you asking the questions which have echoed through the decades. Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light, what so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, or the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket’s red glare; the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say, does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Forgive me for being what some may consider sappy, but for me the final question – the one I have put in red – is the one I ask myself when the fireworks are exploding in the sky. Fireworks are, after all, our reenactment of that fateful battle (and the other battles that have secured our freedom) which inspired this timeless this poem.

Martin Luther King, Jr., called the Declaration of Independence a Promissory Note. Every Fourth, while the “ramparts are gallantly streaming” I am humbled by the realization that I am a beneficiary of that Promise. I am humbled by the sacrifice of the people who daily get up and defend what that Star-Spangled-Banner represents. I understand our Nation is polarized right now. We have ideological differences that create deep chasms where reconciliation and understanding have gone to die. Yet, I still cling to the Promise that we have “unalienable rights endowed to us by our Creator.” I hold on to the objective penned in the Preamble of the Constitution, which states: “We the People, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our prosperity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” What a mission statement!

This Fourth of July is the 233rd anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It isn’t more spectacular than last years’ Fourth. It isn’t less important than next years’ Fourth. It is amazingly wonderful every year because this experiment we call the United States of America is amazingly wonderful. So, when you are watching fireworks this year, in between the ooohs and aaahs, perhaps you will consider what those explosions in the sky represent. And, as the National Anthem is being sung and that last question asks if the flag still waves, perhaps you will be inclined to answer with resounding glee, “You bet it does!”

With all due respect, thanks anyways.  I am all for a conservative agenda but not one that captures data and then probably sell my phone number to someone else to call and pester me for money and donations on my dime.  You see in America you  have a choice in participating in simple things like texting, but it is becoming a little blurry on who interprets your choice in what you have to say and what is okay for you to believe in.  Apparently President Obama, the Department of Homeland Security, and our government is beginning to define lawful political dissent, and what is acceptable. rightwing1

Yesterday, Roger Hedgecock and the Liberty Papers posted an Office of Intelligence and Analysis report (file here) by the DHS that identifies ‘Right wing Conservatives’ as the major threat to our country’s security. 

The nine-page document was sent to police and sheriff’s departments across the United States on April 7 under the headline, “Right wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.” Just in time for the peaceful Tea Party Protests.

It, “essentially indicts anyone who is pro Second Amendment, pro-border control, anti-abortion..or most tellingly, not a fan of the current Administration write, JoshuaPundit at http://joshuapundit.blogspot.com/2009/04/obamas-dept-of-homeland-security.html

From the report “Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority or rejecting government authority entirely.  It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many Rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use.” 

Would that include: questioning Obama’s own citizenship, pro-capitalism vs anti-socialism, going to church, owning a gun and generally any disgruntled Americans who go to a tea party is now a right wing extremist?  Conservatives have every right to be pissed that Obama is painting conservatives as radicals.  I guess there will be no tea served at the parties tomorrow, only kool aid.

President Barack Obama has “distanced” himself from this report, according to the Washington Times.  What?  Like neither he or Homeland Security Janet Napolitano aren’t responsible for this report?  Ummm- where’s the transparency you promised?  We are seeing right through it!   Being a conservative is not being a terrorist.

I was doing research on earthquake predictions and was curious to what underground seismography might be available in Nevada from the Operation Dominick underground nuclear explosions, and if they were still active to show data to correspond to recent tremors in California.  Here was my little shake up on government authority for the day.

We’ve come along way from the squeaky clean image of Doris Day’s portrayal of Nanette Carter set in the Roaring 1920’s movie, Tea for Two.

The Tea Party protests of today far more mimic the sex comedy movie, Pillow Talk back in 1959.   It was one of the first movies that portrayed the loosening of morals in middle America.  Doris Day might blush over headlines like, Lindsey Lohan distraught over lesbian break up, but we can dispute morals another day.  The Tea Party protests are about disastrous politics, capitalism vs socialism, and taxes- pure and simple. 

Eric Odom, Chairman of the nationwide Tea Party rally movement apparently asked RNC Chairman Michael Steele not to be a Speaker at a Chicago rally because it might identify the Tea Parties as “Republican.”  HT- http://libertarianrepublican.blogspot.com/2009/04/msnbc-mid-identifies-libertarian.html

Give me a break.  Outside of Washington, Chicago politics is the capital of deceit and manipulation of power. If someone like Steele has something to say, put him on the agenda.  What, you going to have Blago? Ayers?  It was after all, Rick Santelli’s Chicago Board rant on TV that started the symbolic tea party ideas.  He growled loud “enough is enough’ and ‘no more’ uncontrolled big brother government.  “We’re thinking of having a Chicago tea party in July, all you capitalists that want to show up to Lake Michigan, I’m gonna start organizing.”  

The idea that the Tea Parties should remain non-partisan and rely on grass roots efforts is a bunch of hooey.    Grassroots movements may happen on the local level with volunteers in a community giving time and money to support the local party, but it leads to helping the national party in the long run.   There are Republican, Democrat and Liberal party members who are pissed.  All Americans who pays attention to politics and pay taxes should be pissed.  With the April deadline for federal tax returns looming, the only people who likely don’t give a rats ass about a Tea Party are the growing number of Americans who pay zero federal income tax, don’t file at all or don’t give a shit about where the future of America is heading. 

When I think of grass roots, I think of ACORN and I am twice as pissed to think that it was this grass roots group that played a significant contribution to the mortgage crisis- in the first place- by finding loans for people who could never pay them back.   Local community efforts can barely succeed at registering people to vote,  let alone organizing large Tea events with relevant speakers. 

Whether a Tea Party is held today, tomorrow or months from now its my guess that the Democrats will be calling foul, Republicans will try to take the credit and the Libs will still be pleading for neutrality.  The Tea Parties may have the intention of being non partisan, but it is negligent for the Republican, Dems, and Libs to not take advantage of the platform to peacefully review what is happening to our nation.  

Bob Basso portraying Thomas Paine summed it up by asking Americans to stand up against Congress and reclaim their republic now, or maybe lose it forever.  “Have you become a nation of cowards,” warning people that if they do nothing else, “buy a gun because your going to need it.”  

“Wake up, America.  While you were playing with the toys of your consumer wealth, you lost much more than your bloated economy of living beyond your means. You lost your representative democracy. Your servants have become your masters.  Taxation without representation is tyranny,” he said.

G20 Protest, A Glimpse of US Tea Party Tax Day

The G20 protesters are running around like little anarchists with their faces covered, spewing anti-capitalism and damaging The Royal Bank of Scotland.  I don’t see a tea pot in sight. 

America was founded on capitalistic principles.  The politics under Obama, Biden and Pelosi are insisting on changing America into a version of European socialism.  The EU’s economy isn’t any better than ours, but citizens who want to live under socialism, should just move to Europe where they can make fun of us far from far away, but they won’t go.

With calm appeal, that leaves the rest of us who are outraged.  Whatever your beef: the trillions of dollars in debt, poor management of existing regulations, unemployment, health care, education, bailouts, stimulus packages, or the heavy burdens of increased taxes, I urge you to consider attending or organizing a Tea Party on Tax Day, April 15.

I pray that the protests any tea party do not attract the type of person who, rather than peacefully hold up a sign, will protest, whine, shout and break everything within sight.

The spread of democracy continues to be fought in Iraq, and Afghanistan with soldiers blood, sweat and tears.  Tea Party Tax Day is not the forum for spilling blood or violence on the streets of America. 

Get your feet out of the quicksand and on to the street.  You can be mad as hell, but the goal is to peacefully protest.

GM & Obama- Looking In The Rear View Mirror

Obama’s administration drives foreign cars, ain’t that a kick in the ass?   In this day of a New World Order are you really surprised?   

Car & Driver did a report on what kind of vehicles politicians drive.  Prior to having a driver for his Cadillac limo, nick named, “The Beast”, Obama drove a Chrysler C300.  340 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque at around 20 MPG.  In great hypocrisy,  it is far from a hybrid, fuel efficient means of transportation.  http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_lists/high_performance/features_classic_cars/what_would_barack_obama_drive_feature__1

No matter what kind of car you own, we are the deer in the headlights and Obama the hunter.

We live in a country where if your car breaks the governement fixes it;  if you get sick,  the government decides if you get fixed. Lordy, lordy. 

This is not some dark espionage thriller where the citizen gets away in the end.  The realities of Obama’s change, hope and promise continue to erode  American democracy and capitalism.

Non-partisanship finally has meaning.  We should fire and vote out almost every Congressman and Senator and elected official. The governments corporatocracy is running our biggest corporations and our banks instead of shareholders. 

If the government wants the responsibility surely it’s citizens should be calling the shots.  Not that the tea-parties going on around the country will amount to much.

“The Heartbeat of America,”  Chevrolet’s long running trademark tag line is long dead- replaced by the line, “An American Revolution,” in its advertising.  We are seeing the start of a revolution indeed, and if we don’t wake up, democracy will be dead too.  Praise be, GM no longer makes the Vega. 

It’s hard being the backseat driver waiting for the next economic collision to occur.  Looking in the in the rear view mirror to see America run over by socialism shouldn’t be an option either.
