While in Hawaii, President Obama ought to put an end to all the birther arguments that he is not a usurper, but we all know that is not going to happen. As he mentions in his press statement- “intelligence for a clear picture,” the red flags still exist regarding his citizenship. Numerous court cases have challenged President Obama’s natural born citizenship under Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution that says that the president be a “natural born citizen.” Only he can make them go away.

The entire issue of natural born citizen is quite the legal conundrum. Among other sites, the folks at http://therightwing.net/index.php/2008/12/09/the-natural-born-citizen-case-explained/ have an easy explanation of the natural born citizen clause and its merit to our laws for Presidency.
Imagine the merits or detriments that could occur if President Obama himself, personally went to collect his birth certificate with the news media in tow. That would make a wonderful way to begin the New Year, with truth, honesty, integrity and transparency.

Since the original meaning of Natural Born was simply “born in the country,” the fact that a father was not a citizen or that Obama had dual nationality has absolutely no effect. That is why although the birthers tried to get the members of the Electoral College to change their votes, all 365 of the votes that Obama won on Nov 4, 2008 went to him. Not one elector thought that Obama was not a Natural Born Citizen either because of his place of birth or because his father was not a citizen or because of dual nationality.
Seven presidents have had parents who were at one time not US citizens. Andrew Jackson had two. Some birthers claim that Andy Jacson’s parents had been naturalized before he was born. There is no proof of it.
The meaning of Natural Born is simply “born in the country.” That is why why such prominent conservative Senators who are also lawyers as Orren Hatch and Lindsay Graham say that a Natural Born Citizen is simply one who was born in the USA:

He released the physical copy of the Certification to BOTH FactCheck and Politifact (which is run by the St. Petersburg Times of Fla.) Whom did McCain, Bush or Clinton release the physical copy of their birth certificates to?

You can ask for anything. Hawaii clearly says that it will not send out anything but a COLB.

Re “Records” Records can be either plural or singular. When someone says “I have looked at the records,” that can mean “I have looked at the files.” We often say “I looked at the files, when there is only one file.” Hawaii maintains many records. Fukino looked at the Obama records and found PROOF that he was born in Hawaii, which she said repeatedly.
Do you need to be reminded that she is an official in a Republican governor’s administration and what would happen to her if she lied about the document proving that Obama was born in Hawaii?
IN addition to the official COLB, which has been confirmed repeatedly by the two officials in Hawaii, and the notices in the newspapers (which were sent out by the government of Hawaii for births in Hawaii and not for births outside of Hawaii), there is this witness, who recalls being told of Obama’s birth in Hawaii in 1961 (http://www.buffalonews.com/494/story/554495.html).
There is absolutely no proof or even a credible report that Obama was born anywhere else than Hawaii. His Kenyan grandmother did not say that he was born in Kenya. She said that he was born in Hawaii.

If so, could you tell us just exactly what field their ‘expertise’ is in? Until then, please, please, please spare us the claim of that site to represent anything truthful or valid.
Interestingly, you did not use Fukino’s original statement, only her second one. Well, lets that a good look at her second statement:

If we take out all the hoopla, here is what we would have:
‘I have seen the original vital records maintained on file stating that Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen.’
Hummmm…record(s)? How many original birth record(s) do you have? I only have one – why does Obama have more than one?
Hummmm…maintained on file? Her original statement said his original BC was ON RECORD in accordance with state policies and procedures. Her original statement referred to the fact that she personally viewed the INDEX data that showed his BC was maintained on file – while the INDEX data is ON RECORD in accordance with state policies and procedures.
You see – her original statement did NOT state that she had personally seen and verified his BC – simply that she has personally seen and verified that they were on file.
So – why does her second statement only state that his original BC is MAINTAINED ON FILE and not ON RECORD IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES?
She can’t honestly say that, because his original BC has never been ACCEPTED either as it was submitted or perhaps because it has been amended. Either way – please take note of the COLB at factcheck.org – you will notice that the image says – Date Filed by Registrar – but it does NOT say Date Accepted by Registrar, because it has never been accepted. It is sitting at the DOH in limbo, waiting for information contained thereon to be verified so that it can then be accepted and placed ON RECORD IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
Furthermore, why would she break up the phrase, Natural Born Citizen and state Obama is a natural-born American citizen. Why would she not use the exact wording contained in the Constitution, unless there was some reason?
Both of Fukino’s statements were carefully worded. Stop reading into them what you wish them to say, and read them for exactly what they DO say.

How could she have seen original vital records when they supposedly went digital years ago? She saw a copy that even no one else has seen so why wouldn’t Pres O just go get a copy and show it to the press?
Obama has posted and shown to both FactCheck and Politifact, the OFFICIAL birth certificate of Hawaii. Yes, it is a short form certificate, but it is the ONLY one that Hawaii sends out. Obama cannot show the original because he does not have it. All that he has is what Hawaii sent him, and that was the Certification of Live Birth. However, that is the official birth certificate, and it is accepted as proof of birth in Hawaii by all the departments in Hawaii (Yes, including DHHL. I checked.) And, it is accepted as proof of birth in the USA by the US State Department and the branches of the Military.

The facts on Obama’s posted Certification have been repeatedly confirmed by the officials in Hawaii. Yes, these were confirmations of the fact that Obama was born in Hawaii. You will see the simple words: “Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii” in the statement below.
