Looking forward to 2014. Happy New Year followers, family & friends.

I think someone had the mojo or a voodoo doll on me in 2013. A few health ailments & too many funerals.

At least 2014 starts w some good sky watching. Per usual, we will have cloud cover and snow.

Someday you will die, make today count. Aspire to inspire.

What’s twisting our antenna,

Friday, December 8, 2011?

Eclipse.

As far as astronomy goes, we’d hardly call any of us experts.  We write from America’s  farmland, nestled between two major city airports and have an grass airstrip in the backyard.  A few folks are licensed pilots, and have served in the Air Force flying F-16’s and some bomber plane that the old man can’t remember the name of anymore.  We’ve always thought that flying, whether to the moon, planets or on an airplane is a privilege- not a right.   Baldwin should take heed.

The great thing about being rural is the night sky and no city lights. We have a good view of  weather fronts, contrails, chem-trails, satellites, and the sky in general.  A few favorites are NASA’s Solar Monitor, PUniverse (Physical), and Space Weather http://spaceweather.com/.  Last night we purchased SkySafari for iphone and highly recommend it.   http://www.southernstars.com/products/skysafari/index.html

All that Maxwell Smart could do with the phone in his shoe was talk.

We’ve turned our cell phones into a satellite and airplane tracking devices, but nothing beats the naked or enhanced telescopic eye.   A few days ago we found a UFO or something odd from the GOES satellite that we’ve never seen before.

Judge for your self what it could be– https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2011/12/06/thats-no-bird-or-plane/

If God didn’t exsist, man would have invented him. Or something like that.  If Twitter didn’t exsist, we’d have to rely on Facebook and never see the half of what gets posted and miss out on all the public has to share around the world.  Except of course in France, where using the word Facebook and Twitter is prohibited.

In the free for all of the press, a judge in Oregon decided that bloggers are not journalists.

In a decision with implications for bloggers around the country, a federal judge in Oregon has ruled that a Montana woman sued for defamation was not a journalist when she posted online that an Oregon lawyer acted criminally during a bankruptcy case…. “What could be more mainstream than the Internet and the top of the search engine?’’ she said.http://www.bostonglobe.com/news/nation/2011/12/08/judge-says-blogger-not-journalist/4LFxisYM0RdW3AxNOwgTCI/story.html

The judge said she had no media affiliation nor education relating to her writing.  That’s one for main stream media and zero for independent authors and websites like Ahrcanum.  For the record, we have over 600 articles dating back almost four years.  The CEO and Czar has a related Bachelor of Science Degree and so do others who contribute. Humph, that makes us a journalists- even if our proof reader quit.

If independents authors are to be dismissed so easily, why is every Tweet stored in The Congressional Library? And just who has access to the master list of Tweets?

“We have an agreement with Twitter where they have a bunch of servers with their historic archive of tweets, everything that was sent out and declared to be public,” Bill Lefurgy, digital initiatives program manager at the library’s digital information infrastructure and preservation program, told FederalNewsRadio.com.http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2011/12/library-of-congress-to-store-tweets-based-on-twitter-deal/1

Score a zillion for free speech, unless you are Joe Gordon, the man who translated and posted on his blog about the longest ruling monarchy.  When visiting Taiwan, they arrested him and sentenced him to two years in jail.  HE IS A U.S. CITIZEN.

Before the verdict was read out, Lerpong was allowed to speak to reporters.  “I’m not Thai, I’m American. I was just born in Thailand. I hold an American passport. In Thailand there are many laws that don’t allow you to express opinions, but we don’t have that in America,” he said. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/world/archives/2011/12/09/2003520321

Guess Joe was wrong.

Also on Jun 23, 2011 – A food blogger in Taiwan was sentenced to 30 days in jail, given two years probation and fined 200000 New Taiwan Dollars.  He wrote that noodles were too salty at a restaurant.  www.huffingtonpost.com Noodles for heaven sake!

And so we shake our head.  Our heads will be looking up as always.  Tomorrow if the weather cooperates, we may catch a glimpse of the eclipse.  If not we’ll turn to Live webcasts: Hong Kong; India; North Dakota; Nevada.  And  http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2011/12/lunar-eclipse-feed/, plus  http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/technology/2011/12/how-to-watch-saturdays-total-eclipse-of-the-moon-on-your-computer.html,

Drop us a comment if you find more- send us tweets of your pix too.

The next total lunar eclipse visible in North America will be on April 15, 2014.   A partial eclipse will be visible to most of the continent less than a year from now on Nov. 28, 2012.

In good journalist ethics, we found this lovely photo highlighting the halo of the moon last night.  Jupiter is by its side and what appears to be an airplane.  Used with permission (thanks!) from;

Graham Bowes

“Where to start? Picture-taking designer with a curiosity about life, the universe and everything! Oh and a Galaxy Zoo moderator.”

This photo is on it’s second trip to the Library of Congress.  After this article is published,  it automatically Tweets and it will also be in the Library.

While we were howling at the moon, the sun had its own eclipse of a kind.  A cloud of plasma was eclipsed by a dark magnetic filament. December 8/9, 2011. NASA pix.

Stay tuned and have a good day, one day it will be your last.  God Bless.

What is twisting our antenna today,

November 28, 2011?

Rumbling about life on the 3rd planet from the sun…

Survived Thanksgiving with much to be thankful for.  Back to school, work, daily musings for many people. Not so in many parts of the world.  Heck, bet most Arabs abroad never even heard about Thanksgiving.

The whole Arab Spring is just crazy.  Assaults, rapes, virginity tests!!!  A twat test in the year 2011?  Yup.  What would the Virgin Mother Mary think?  We do not think that Allah, God, the big Buddha or anyone else of a divine nature had this in mind- to allow atrocious attacks by governments on its own people.  And what of this ill timed tweet from the Muslim Brotherhood last week?

Um, maybe they want to check that b/c there are still thousands  in Egypt “mobilizing” against the regime, even with elections.

Is this what it comes down to?  That we humans on Earth are a supposed civilization of people who abuse each other?  Rather uncivilized.  Why would a Martian ever land on Earth when the Moon and space is much more inviting?  There is not any tear gas on the moon; at least that we know of, that we’ve left behind.

The U.S.A. was  attempting to dispose of some of its own arsenal of Chemical weapons, ( https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/02/07/umatilla-chemical-depot-mustard-gas-leaks-the-business-of-destroying-chemical-weapons-stockpiles/ )
Some of the tear gas is produced by Combined Systems International of Jamestown, Pennsylvania. http://www.combinedsystems.com/index.html  Media reports keep saying it “may,” be from America.  Maybe we got some land for sale in the middle of the Hudson river.

The United States provides $1.3 billion a year in military financing for Egypt.http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/5309.htm#political  According to the State Department’s 2010 budget request, the aid is used to help strengthen and modernize the Egyptian army.   As if enough of the world isn’t pissed at America already, the perception is that the U.S. administration supports dictators.  Imagine how much tear gas is available to the hands of authority in the U.S.  Officially the American people do not support dictators.  Dictators not only taste bad,  but are in poor taste to democracy.

While tear gas may help keep an army strong, its use is deplorable- not only in the U.S.A., but in Egypt and any where else on calm protesters.  But, and we do mean BUT, maybe it is threats from above.

Here is an alleged lightning strike during a test of a new laser guide star at the Allgäu Public Observatory in Germany (August 2011). Credit: Martin Kornmesser, ESO.  The Observatory, http://www.eso.org/public/announcements/ann11039/

What the heck is that?  Why are earthings shooting laser beams into space? Why are earthings doing virginity tests?  SNAFU. What the heck are the chances a lightening strike hits a laser beam.  If the weather was crap for a laser test, why try it at all?  If the people are peaceful why use tear gas?

Because they can.

Laser guide stars are artificial stars created high up in the Earth’s atmosphere using a laser beam with a power of several watts. The laser, in this case a powerful 20 watt yellow beam (operating at 589 nm), makes the sodium atoms in a layer 90 kilometres up in the atmosphere glow and so creates an artificial star in the sky that can be observed by a telescope. The adaptive optics equipment can then use measurements of the artificial star to correct for the blurring effect of the atmosphere in the observations.  http://www.eso.org/public/announcements/ann11039/

90 kilometers = 55.9234073 miles

Hey batman, we’re shooting laser beams 55 miles into the atmosphere.  That’s just crazy.  Hey batman, we’re tear tear gassing, beating, raping, stealing and flat out lying earthings.

With the un-invention of the lighbulb, we can’t help but turn to Tesla.

Philip’s Lumileds Lighting Company(http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=PHG ) is the world’s leading manufacturer of high-power LEDs.   Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (TSMC)  is on its heels to become the largest. https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/03/11/haarp-wifi-lightbubls-teslatechnology-wifi-through-led-lamps/

We don’t know about you, but a 22 watt light bulb is a mere night light in our home.  How can we send it up, up,  and away 55 miles in to the outer limits?

We were all happy to hear of the Mars exploration that will land in August 2012. We are sad that Phobos grunt hasn’t responded to commands to make it to Mars.

Can’t help but think of David Rockefeller.

We are on the verge of a global transformation.  All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the new World Order.

God Bless and have a good day, one day it will be your last.

An unknown object in galaxy M82 12 million light-years away is sending out radio waves.

“We don’t know what it is,” says co-discoverer Tom Muxlow of Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics near Macclesfield, UK. But its apparent sideways velocity is four times the speed of light. This “superluminal” motion occurs usually in high-speed jets of material bursting out by black holes.

“The new object, which appeared in May 2009, has left us scratching our heads – we’ve never seen anything quite like this before,” said Dr Muxlow. “The object turned on very rapidly within a few days and shows no sign of decaying in brightness over the first few months of its existence. http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2010/08/update-unknown-object-in-nearby-galaxy-sending-mysterious-radio-waves-.html

The object was discovered using the MERLIN network of radio telescopes in the UK.  MERLIN, operated by Jodrell Bank Observatory, is the Multi-Element Radio Linked Interferometer Network, an array of radio telescopes distributed around Great Britain. http://www.merlin.ac.uk/. With a maximum baseline of 217 km, the angular resolution of e-MERLIN at 5 GHz is 40 mas, comparable to the Hubble Space Telescope. http://www.e-merlin.ac.uk/summary.html

Hubba Wabba, that is one impressive telescope, but not as impressive as the findings.  Whatever the object is, it has not changed in brightness over the course of a year, and its spectrum is steady.  Its apparent sideways velocity is four times the speed of light!

It is a solid, liquid or gas?

M82 is not alone in the universe of sounds from space.

In September, 2003

NASA’s CHANDRA’s X-ray Observatory have found, for the first time, sound waves from a supermassive black hole. The “note” is the deepest ever detected from any object in our Universe. The tremendous amounts of energy carried by these sound waves may solve a longstanding problem in astrophysics.

The black hole resides in the Perseus cluster of galaxies located 250 million light years from Earth. In 2002, astronomers obtained a deep Chandra observation that shows ripples in the gas filling the cluster. These ripples are evidence for sound waves that have traveled hundreds of thousands of light years away from the cluster’s central black hole

…observations had revealed the prodigious amounts of light and heat created by black holes. “Now we have detected their sound, too,” says Andrew Fabian of the Institute of Astronomy in Cambridge, England http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2003/09sep_blackholesounds/

The full NASA press release is at http://chandra.harvard.edu/press/03_releases/press_090903.html

In July 2004, radio emissions were picked up by the Cassini spacecraft as it passed through Saturn’s rings.  The sounds uploaded and tweaked by a YouTube user, propose a speech pattern.  The original Link to NASA .WAV File for Download..
http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/multimedia…

Is it Alien Speech?

It sounds sort of like the high frequency pitch or tone that many people hear that remains elusive in its origin.  Written previously about in these two articles- https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/07/29/haarp-what-is-making-that-noise/ and https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/09/22/rining-noise-mosquito-whine-haarp-aliens-elf-implant/.

It was believed that all magnetised planets emit radio waves into space from the polar regions thought to represent the rotation of the planet.  As it would turn, so it would make a noise, but it turns out that is not true on Saturn.

However, over the years the period of the pulsing of the radio emissions has varied, and since the rotation of a planet cannot be easily sped up or slowed down, the hunt for the source of the varying radio period has become one of the most perplexing puzzles inplanetary science.

Nichols and team use images from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope of Saturn’s auroras obtained between 2005-2009 to show that, not only do the radio emissions pulse, but the auroras beat in tandem with the radio.

“This is an important discovery for two reasons,” Dr Nichols said. “First, it provides a long-suspected but hitherto missing link between the radio and auroral emissions, and second, it adds a critical tool in diagnosing the cause of Saturn’s irregular heartbeat.”

Auroras, more commonly known as the “northern lights” on Earth, are caused when charged particles in space are funnelled along a planet’s magnetic field into the planet’s upper atmosphere near the poles, whereupon they impact theatmospheric particles and cause them to glow. This happens when a planet’s magnetic field is stressed by, for example, the buffeting from the stream of particles emitted by the Sun, or when moons such as Enceladus or Io expel material into the near-planet space.  http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2010/08/mystery-of-saturns-radio-pulse.html

Here is a recording of radio wave emissions from Saturn. As the solar wind passes across the ten mile thick rings, an oscillation is created and in turn emits a frequency or radio wave.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MvrduueveI&feature=player_embedded

We are receiving radio waves from M82, black holes, and planets.  SETI is on alert as always, looking for the WOW signal again.

With the recent solar storms from Sunspot 1092 this week, I wonder what noise our Earth is sending out into the galaxy and what it is we are really hearing.  As to what we are seeing, there are increasing reports across the country of multiple UFOs moving together and remaining in the sky for longer viewing durations.  http://www.examiner.com/x-2363-UFO-Examiner~y2010m8d5-Multiple-UFOs-typical-of-many-US-reports?cid=examiner-email
