You know how the Obama administration is trying to do away with the standard incandescent lightbulb? Well, could the reason behind it be that Tesla found a way for Wi-Fi to work off a regular old lightbulb? Who could make a profit off of that? What cable or telecommunications company could regultate that? Apple? GE?
On August 4, 2011, the US Patent & Trademark Office published a patent application from Apple that reveals two specific concepts of an “Inductive Charging System” for use with iOS devices. The first patent had to do with using ear buds.
The second system, which seems to be a little more practical, involves an acoustic charging mechanism which wouldn’t require a charging tower. Any type of inductive charging system would likely mean having to buy more, new apple products to alleviate compatibility issues.
In another published patent application from Cupertino indicates the company is considering crafting portable computing devices out of glass. A bright idea coming out of Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute could change the way we connect to the Internet in the future, as well as drive the nascent market for interior LED lighting. It could be said that Tesla invented the 20th century or at the very least spurred on scientific advances previously unheard of that we now take for granted- electricity and the radio for example.

Of course, mainstream science has never fully acknowledged Tesla’s contributions, and his later pronouncements (he vowed that he had developed a technology that could split the earth asunder) have left him straddling that familiar historical territory where genius meets crackpot. It has spent nearly two decades using radio waves to probe Earth’s magnetic field and ionosphere. HAARP’s high-frequency radio waves can accelerate electrons in the atmosphere, increasing the energy of their collisions and creating a glow.
February 2008, HAARP induced a strange bulls eye pattern in the night sky. Instead of the expected fuzzy, doughnut-shaped blob, surprising irregular luminescent bands radiated out from the centre of the bulls eye, according to Todd Pedersen, a research physicist at the US Air Force Research Laboratory in Massachusetts, who leads the team that ran the experiment at HAARP. The team modelled how the energy sent skywards from the HAARP antenna array would trigger these odd shapes. They determined that the areas of the bullseye with strange light patterns were in regions of denser, partially ionized gas in the atmosphere, as measured by ground-based high-frequency radar used to track the ionosphere.
“The novelty is not seeing the aurora – it’s the fact that we can actually create enough high-energy electrons to form plasma,” said Mike Kosch, chair of Experimental Space Science at Lancaster University, UK. “It shows something completely different and new that we hadn’t expected. Not only are we seeing an increase of earthquakes, but reports from Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina described brilliant, streaking lights followed by an explosion-like sounds.
