Boobquake, the event to create an earthquake is set for Monday, April 26, 2010.
Just when you think you’ve heard every conspiracy theory regarding the volcano’s and earthquakes, along comes a Muslim cleric saying that woman who reveal their breasts can cause earthquakes. You couldn’t make this stuff up.
Tehran (April 24, 2010): A senior Iranian cleric opined that social decency would avoid earthquakes, the Tehran press reported Saturday.
Ayatollah Ahmad Janati, head of the senate-like Guardian Council, said that although no one can predict quakes, moral lifestyles filled with prayer and the giving of alms could prevent seismic activity.
The remarks by Jannati followed comments last week by cleric Ayatollah Kazem Sedighi suggesting that social immorality – such as improper women’s clothing and extramarital sex – would increase the probability of earthquakes.
In the name of science she is offering her boobs to disprove that breasts cause earthquakes and wants women around the world to help her disprove the Ayatollahs statements. So far 159, 266 people have agreed to participate in the event on facebook.
I have a modest proposal.
Sedighi claims that not dressing modestly causes earthquakes. If so, we should be able to test this claim scientifically. You all remember the homeopathy overdose?
Time for a Boobquake.
On Monday, April 26th, I will wear the most cleavage-showing shirt I own. Yes, the one usually reserved for a night on the town. I encourage other female skeptics to join me and embrace the supposed supernatural power of their breasts. Or short shorts, if that’s your preferred form of immodesty. With the power of our scandalous bodies combined, we should surely produce an earthquake. If not, I’m sure Sedighi can come up with a rational explanation for why the ground didn’t rumble. And if we really get through to him, maybe it’ll be one involving plate tectonics.
So, who’s with me? I may be a D cup, but that will probably only produce a slight tremor on its own. If you’ll be joining me on twitter, use the tag #boobquake! Or join the facebook event!
Breasts Soap Dispenser
In an attempt to not objectify women she later wrote, “I just want to apologize if this comes off as demeaning toward women.” She also promises to do some follow up on her research.
And to the scientists who are concerned with my methods – don’t worry, I fully plan on doing some statistics after the event. I know many earthquakes happen on a daily basis, so we’re looking to see if Boobquake significantly increases the number or severity of earthquakes.
Science definitely won’t be boring for Boobquake Monday.

The explosions are called Plinian events, after the historian Pliny who described the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
The gases expand rapidly and separate from the magma, causing explosive bursts of tremendous magnitude equivalent to a significant dynamite explosion. As the video shows, the explosion hurls incandescent blobs of lava hundreds of feet into the air — and cause visible shockwaves.
Bursts of tremendous magnitude? As big as a dynamite explosion? Visible shockwaves? Mmmm?
The seismic activity surrounding the volcano isn’t showing the kind of activity you would expect from an eruption large enough to create visible shockwaves.
We have this report that things are relatively calm:
The power of the Eyjafjallajokull eruption has remained stable for at least the last two days according to emergency coordinators in South Iceland. The volcanic cloud has swung round to the northwest of the glacier today, but there is little ash fall. The cloud has become lighter in colour, indicating more steam and less ash. http://www.icenews.is/index.php/2010/04/23/iceland-volcano-update-2/
The GPS stations have provided important constraints on the evolution of the activity at the volcano. Thorvaldseyri (THEY) started moving south in the end of December followed by rapid deformation at Skogaheidi (SKOG) and Steinsholt (STE2) in the weeks prior to the eruption. Stations Solheimaheidi (SOHO) and Godabunga (GOLA) have also shown significant deformation due to the activity.
Two new sites were installed in the two days prior to the eruption on Fimmvörðuháls (20. March), FIM2, a quadripod station on Fimmvörðuháls, and BAS2, steel rod in Básar. Another steel rod site, SVBH, was installed north of THEY and closer to the summit crater on the 15. April, day after it started erupting.
BAS2 Monitoring Site
Hard to believe something so simple looking could provide so much data. Surprisingly though, the readouts aren’t showing the kind of shifts one would expect from an earthquake spewing lava.
In opposition to Ice News saying things are calm, The Institute of Earth Sciences and various collaborators said in the most recent update, “Some fluctuations, with a peak shortly after midnight 22 April related to a small flood of meltwater. Since the onset of the explosive eruption the tremor has overall been gradually increasing, with superimposed fluctuations.” http://www.earthice.hi.is/page/ies_Eyjafjallajokull_eruption
Visible shockwaves aren’t uncommon, occurring with any volcano having an explosive eruption, Quick explained.(sic. Associate vice president for research and dean of grad studies at Southern Methodist University) On the smaller scale, Plinian events cause them and lead to ejecting blobs of lava. But Quick notes that such rumbles can have much greater ramifications.
“On the larger scale, they cause Plinian eruptions like Mt. St Helen in 1981,” he pointed out. via Fox News.
UFO or Solar Flare?
In the debate over whether or not the volcano is becoming more or less active, and how much invisible ash there is; there has been a frenzy of odd images and conspiracy. Check out this UFO in the above photo, a black sphere shaped object sitting in front of the sun near the volcano at https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/04/17/ufo-near-iceland-volcano-on-webcam/
A perfect sphere or just the sun? A lense flare caught at just the right moment?
The Iceland volcano UFO was a single scout craft of the terraforming fleet, serving within the Federation. A craft of the member Star Nation of Tau Ceti…from the constellation of Cetus 11.8 light years away…..
So not actually a “formation,” as conjectured..
These boomerang or diamond-shaped scouts were similar types to those observed over Phoenix Arizona in 1997, known as the “Phoenix Lights.”

A full-disk multiwavelength extreme ultraviolet image of the sun taken by SDO on March 30, 2010
NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, SDO the space telescope designed to study the sun released it’s first images this week and they are spectacular.
Launched on February 11th from Cape Canaveral, the observatory has spent the past two months moving into a geosynchronous orbit and activating its instruments. As soon as SDO’s telescope doors opened, the spacecraft began beaming back scenes so beautiful and puzzlingly complex that even seasoned observers were stunned, reported NASA.
“The Helioseismic Magnetic Imager (HMI) is performing splendidly,” reports HMI principal investigator Phil Scherrer of Stanford University. “We’re getting very high-quality, high signal-to-noise data.”
The Extreme UV Variability Experiment (EVE) is online, too, “and we’re getting great data as well,” says principal investigator Tom Woods of the University of Colorado, Boulder.
EVE monitors the sun where it is most variable—in the extreme UV part of the electromagnetic spectrum. At these wavelengths, the brightness of the sun can rise and fall a hundredfold in the blink of an eye, heating and “puffing up” Earth’s upper atmosphere, and dragging down satellites. EVE measures these changes with unprecedented time and spectral resolution. http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2010/21apr_firstlight/
HMI and EVE and the entire SDO seems to be operating splendidly, but unfortunately it took three weeks for NASA to reveal any images. Unprecedented time should allow for real time images, but us mere earthlings will have to wait another month for daily images. The implications of such detailed events on the sun will surely have this tinfoil hat wearing observer looking to coordinate data, to earth events like volcano’s and earthquakes.
The observatory is still being commissioned, and a good deal of testing and calibration remains to be done before regular, daily images become available in mid-May.

All looks calm on the sun today, unless you look at the images from STEREO from behind.
Itunes offers a free app for SOHO (SOHO Viewer) and also STEREO (3D Sun) and for $1.99 the Solar Monitor app is well worth it in providing additional information with the images. All three are in near real time.
Someone needs to comes up with an application that links solar activity to earthquakes and volcano’s, but it won’t be me. Maybe take it farther to coordinate with seismographs around the world?
If one exists, do tell or share your favorite app or link in the comment section for space and science news.

Volcanic eruptions from the Eyjafjallajokull glacier have wreaked havoc on European air traffic as the invisible, sometimes visible ash cloud has caused thousands of flights to be canceled.
…increasingly desperate airlines ran test flights to show that flying was safe and pressed aviation authorities to loosen the flight ban.
Airlines complained that European governments were overreacting to the threat, relying on incomplete data from computer models rather than real-world safety tests in the air above Europe. In a blunt statement Sunday, representatives of Europe’s airlines and airports called for “an immediate reassessment of the present restrictions.”
Europe’s transportation ministers decided to meet in Brussels today to discuss how and when to get planes back in the air. “It is clear that this is not sustainable,” the European Union’s transport commissioner, Siim Kallas, told reporters in Brussels. “We cannot just wait until this ash cloud dissipates.”Read more: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10109/1051594-82.stm#ixzz0lYDXcEzN
Europe’s transportation ministers should take a look at the damage that can happen when a plane flies into the ash. This was no computer model for damage on an F-18 Hornet for The Finnish Air Force.
Boeing F-18 Hornet fighter engine damage from Ash
Five of the air force’s Hornets were involved in a training exercise on the morning of 15 April, just hours before the imposition of airspace restrictions due to the ash cloud spreading from a major volcanic eruption in Iceland.
Additionally from Brussels – A senior Western diplomat says several NATO F-16 fighters suffered engine damage after flying through the volcanic ash cloud covering large parts of Europe. The official declined to provide more details on the military flights, except to say that glasslike deposits were found inside the planes’ engines after they patroled over European airspace. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100419/ap_on_re_eu/eu_volcano_jets_damaged
The 10-day long multi-nation naval drill began here on April 12, 2010. “It will engage the NATO forces to respond to a number of challenges, including asymmetric or terrorist threats, maritime security operations and embargo operations “in a realistic scenario,” a NATO statement said.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100419/ap_on_re_eu/eu_volcano_jets_damaged
In a realistic scenario. Hmmmm? I’d say the closing down of airspace is a pretty damned realistic scenario.
Even so:
European Union officials said air traffic could return to half its normal level on Monday if the dense cloud begins to dissipate. Germany allowed some flights to resume.
Eighty percent of European airspace remained closed for a devastating fourth day on Sunday, with only 4,000 of the normal 20,000-flight schedule in the air, said Brian Flynn, deputy head of operations for Eurocontrol, which supports the air traffic control network across the European Union’s 27 states. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/18/volcano-ash-flights-eu-sa_n_542081.html
After more than five days of disruptions, The Royal Navy is coming to the rescue. Speaking after a meeting of the emergency planning committee Cobra, Gordon Brown said the HMS Ark Royal, HMS Albion, and HMS Ocean will all be mobilised. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8629270.stm “Our first priority is to avoid the inconvenience,” said Brown. So much for the priority of safety.
Where will all the soldier’s go that are aboard these crafts? Will they be armed as they assist passengers?
The Royal Navy has excelled in public relations ploys in the past.
The cash-strapped Royal Navy is planning a major merchandising campaign, stamping its world-famous White Ensign logo on everything from rum to underwear.
Senior commanders have approved a high-profile licensing strategy hoping the traditional cachet of the senior service will help sell ranges of clothing, toys, sports gear and drinks.
In the U.S. Sea World is running it’s own public relations campaign where I personally would rather buy a memento, than a pair of underwear with the Royal Navy logo on them.
The inconvenience is, that governments are ill prepared for such natural or man-made catastrophes. On the date of 9-11, the military was running drills and thought that the planes flying into the WTC were merely a drill. Poor mobilization of assistance and coordination of communications, cost thousands of lives. Other drills prior to catastrophes are at https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/03/23/earthquake-tsunami-military-drills-precipitate-catastrophe/
The same lack of efforts by government officials can been seen as far back as Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and as recent as Haiti where thousands still live on mud floors awaiting assistance.
At least the Icelandic Met Office issued a slight sigh of relief yesterday:
IMO’s radar near Keflavik has not detected the plume from Eyjafjallajökull since 08 o’clock this morning (sunday), which implies that it is below 10,000 feet (3 km). There are no reports on ash this morning. Seismic tremor has been ongoing and is at a strong level this morning. http://en.vedur.is/about-imo/news/2010/nr/1881
All is far from calm.

In Iceland, the volcano from the Eyjafjallajokull glacier continues to spew lava and ash. In the process of looking at webcams for evidence of ash clouds and lava eruptions, I found the above images and stored them (untouched) from the Hveravelir- Vester webcam, 64°52 19°34 Iceland. It’s likely the cylindrical object in the center of the photo is the sun or moon with a filter on the camera lenses, right?
I waited a few minutes to refresh the webcam to see any changes and viola! Within a few minutes, whatever the object was has gone away. The unique V shape or dip in the mountain surrounding the sphere is also gone. The shadow of the light around the black orb has dissolved within minutes.
In the first picture look to the top left there is a white circular light in the sky over the garage, about 2 inches in the photo. In the second picture it has moved high above, almost center. One last look at the webcam, now…I still see the white light but no orb.
Note the images are time stamped and within a few minutes whatever it was, is gone.
God strike me dead, hand on the Bible, these these have not been altered in anyway.

Ashes, Ashes, They all fall down
Anticipation of the volcanic activity slowing down is wishful thinking as planes remain grounded over much of Europe because of a supposed invisible ash plume.
An ash cloud above the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull. April 16, 2010.
Staff from the Icelandic Meteorological Office flew with the Icelandic Coast Guard to the Eyjafjallajökull eruption site on the afternoon of April 16th 2010. At 4 pm the volcanic ash cloud was clearly visible above the cloud deck, rising at times to at least 30,000 feet. Steady winds from the east-north-east moved the cloud away from the volcano. The cloud height was variable from 25 to 30,000 feet and its colour varied from dark to white, depending on how much ash was in the cloud.
From the live feed of photos from a camera located in Þórólfsfell, which has a view over the river Markarfljót and the glacier Eyjafjallajökull where the eruption is, you can see large plumes continuing to erupt.
“The activity has been quite vigorous overnight, causing the eruption column to grow,” Icelandic geologist Magnus Tumi Gudmundsson told The Associated Press on Saturday. “It’s the magma mixing with the water that creates the explosivity. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.” via http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/eu_iceland_volcano
Thousands of commercial flight have been grounded just like on 911, all air-traffic in Northern Europe is down. The military while diverting injured soldiers away from Germany, are still playing war games. A large fleet of warships, submarines, frigates and aircraft from 10 NATO countries are taking part in the ‘Brilliant Mariner’ maritime exercise in the Baltic Sea. https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/04/15/911-false-flag-volcanic-ash-grounds-flights-military-drills-continue/
Temperatures in Europe could rise as a result of planes being grounded across the continent, according to research. A study conducted after commercial flights were grounded for three days following the September 11 terror attacks found the average daily temperature range in the U.S. rose markedly – exceeding the three-day periods before and after by 1.8c. Scientists claimed this showed that clouds formed by the water vapour in the exhaust from jet planes have a small but significant effect on daily temperatures.

What about global cooling? With an invisible ash cloud, one would suppose that solar radiation would permeate the atmosphere in it’s usual manner.
Scientific American – via Reuters –OSLO (Reuters) – A thaw of Iceland’s ice caps in coming decades caused by climate change may trigger more volcanic eruptions by removing a vast weight and freeing magma from deep below ground, scientists said on Friday.
Er well, sort of. In the next paragraph they’re forced to concede that the eruption below the Eyjafjallajokull glacier had nothing to do with global warming.
They said there was no sign that the current eruption from below the Eyjafjallajokull glacier that has paralysed flights over northern Europe was linked to global warming. The glacier is too small and light to affect local geology.
But they’re not about to let a good story go that easily:
“Our work suggests that eventually there will be either somewhat larger eruptions or more frequent eruptions in Iceland in coming decades,” said Freysteinn Sigmundsson, a vulcanologist at the University of Iceland.
“Global warming melts ice and this can influence magmatic systems,” he told Reuters. The end of the Ice Age 10,000 years ago coincided with a surge in volcanic activity in Iceland, apparently because huge ice caps thinned and the land rose.

The Eyjafjallajökull Volcano in Iceland has not only spewed ash clouds and lava, but conspiracy.
Floating ash clouds, an alien face on the surface, a UFO caught on tape, mandatory evacuations, restricted air space, eruptions and no seismic activity. Where did you put your tinfoil hat? You’re gonna need it!
“Volcanic ash consists of tiny jagged pieces of rock and glass. Ash is hard, abrasive, mildly corrosive, conducts electricity when wet, and does not dissolve in water. Falling ash can turn daylight into complete darkness. Accompanied by rain and lightning, the gritty ash can lead to power outages, prevent communications, and disorient people.” says the USGS.
Apparently, ash also has the ability to float at an altitude of 30 to 40,000 feet, grounding planes in some 13 European countries.
Eyjafjallajokull Volcano Eruption, liveleak
On March 31, 2010 the volcano Eyjafjoll or Eyjafjallajökull erupted near a glacier in southern Iceland shooting ash and molten lava into the air and forcing the evacuation of hundreds of people from nearby villages.
In the early morning hours of April 14th the Icelandic Civil Protection Department ordered evacuations of the towns and farms near Eyjafjallajökull due to a sudden increase in the amount of water in the area’s streams and rivers. Combined with rising water temperature, the increase in streamflow signaled the onset of a jökulhlaup: a flood caused by an eruption under a glacier.http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/NaturalHazards/view.php?id=43676
Were they perhaps forced from their homes for some sort of secret government mission? Wouldn’t anyone who lives on Iceland; approximately the size of Ohio and home to 130 volcanoes, know to run like hell when you see an volcanic explosion? Why did they wait so long to issue an evacuation order?
The volcano let go an impressive lava plume on that day, but there are few images that show any additional explosions- only the ash effecting the atmosphere some two weeks later.
The scream: A radar image shows the crater of Eyjafjallajokull in southeast Iceland, which looks like the nightmarish face painted by Edvard Munch. AFP GETTY IMAGES.
To give you a comparison, this is what the area looked like in August 2009, and these two photo’s bear little similarity. There isn’t just one crater, there are three. Did someone drop a bomb? Did the eruption cause new vents?
Two glaciers in the south of Iceland appear as dark patches in this orthorectified image: Mýrdalsjökull (larger, right) and Eyjafjallajökull (smaller, left). August 2009
A general expectation is that because of the Eyjafjallajokull eruption, the fissure would widen and in that sense, there’s a greater risk of extending into or underneath the glaciers and prompting an eruption at Katla,” said Andy Russell with Newcastle University’s Earth Surface Processes Research Group, who went with a team to Iceland before the eruption. “From records, we know that every time Eyjafjallajokull erupts, Katla has also erupted.”
Russell said past Katla eruptions have caused floods the size of the Amazon and sent boulders as big as houses tumbling down valleys and roads. The last major eruption took place in 1918. Floods followed in as little as an hour…
Double read that- “the eruption lasted for two years,” holy ka-pow and shazam! People are flipping over a few days of flight interruptions, let alone the potential of years of ash debris preventing air travel. Say nothing of climategate.
“It is more or less the same situation as yesterday, it is still erupting, still exploding, still producing gas,” University of Iceland professor Armann Hoskuldsson told Reuters.
“We expect it to last for two days or more or something. It cannot continue at this rate for many days. There is a limited amount of magma that can spew out,” he added, saying it was the magma, or molten rock beneath the Earth’s surface, coming out of the volcano that turned into ash….To the east of the volcano, thousands of hectares of land are covered by a thick layer of ash. http://www.armageddononline.org/Icelandic-volcano-still-spewing-huge-ash-plume.html
In Iceland, “hectares of land are covered by a thick layer of ash,” that have fallen from the sky not and not lingered in the clouds like some kind of gravity defying object. And, the airport is open!
Yet, it could be two years or two days until the airspace in Europe reopens. Talk about billions in lost revenue! At least there will be no contrail or chemtrails for awhile.
Maybe it is not a natural occurrence at all, and the aliens have come to invade or investigate. The Getty image does sort of resemble a face one might find on the surface of Mars. Disclose TV has a video showing a UFO disk flying over the volcano at http://www.disclose.tv/action/viewvideo/42233/UFO_Disc_Volcano_Iceland_31_March_2010/ Could there be alien ship far beneath the glaciers making an exit or an entrance through the craters?
EPA/EUMETSAT released these four satellite images today, taken at intervals at 11:00 UTC on 16 April 2010 showing the plumes movement.
April 14, 2010 Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instruments aboard NASA’s Terra and Aqua satellites.
On April 14, Morning daylight revealed a spectacular steam plume over Eyjafjallajökull. These natural-color images were obtained by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instruments aboard NASA’s Terra and Aqua satellites. The image was acquired shortly after noon, 12:30 pm local time. The white plume extends roughly 70 kilometers (40 miles) almost due east, rising above snow and clouds and casting a shadow to the north. The white color indicates the plume is primarily steam, unsurprising since 1,200° Celsius (2,200° Fahrenheit) lava reached the surface beneath a 200-meter (700-foot) thick glacier, which was quickly vaporized.
Glance again at the NASA photo, what is that cylindrical image above and a little to the right of the text? A UFO? If the plume is steam as NASA states and not volcanic ash why is airspace closed?
Not surprisingly, just when there might be something to see, NASA says that, “Due to hardware problems some of the subset imagery archive is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.” http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/subsets/?subset=Iceland.2010106
Hmmm, is there something we aren’t supposed to see?
You can still watch the eruption through the clouds on both the Vodafon and Mila.is webcams. Vodaphon updates every 6 seconds.
The plume from the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull volcano is still ongoing, reaching heights of 4 to 5 kilometers, occasionally reaching higher altitudes. The plume drifts with north-westerly winds reaching Europe. It has been detected over Norway, Sweden, northwestern Russia, northern Poland, northern Germany, northern France and southern UK. There is no indication that the ash from the volcano is decreasing and it is predicted that high-level winds will stay north-westerly today. http://en.vedur.is/about-imo/news/2010/nr/1868 From Icelandic Met Office.
ACCORDING TO THE USGS, THERE IS NO SEISMIC ACTIVITY THAT OCCURED IN ICELAND ON SUNDAY MARCH 21, NOR THE WEEK BEFORE, NOR SINCE. Where is the scientific data? Even as the Volcano continues to erupt there is still NO SEISMIC DATA. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_all.html

Are the Earthquakes, Cyclones and Volcanoes that are occurring giving clue that some larger catastrophe is coming?
Conspiracies from HAARP, EISCAT, CERN’s LHC and other man-made experiments offer a plausible explanation, but certainly not a definitive one for the cause and frequency of the recent rash of disasters.
Is Mother Nature having growing pains with theories of Tectonic Shifts, Continental Drift, the sea floor spreading; maybe a theory of global expansion?
Professor of Geophysics at the Nevada Seismological Laboratory, John N. Louie, Ph.D teaches, “The plates consist of an outer layer of the Earth, the lithosphere, which is cool enough to behave as a more or less rigid shell. Occasionally the hot asthenosphere of the Earth finds a weak place in the lithosphere to rise buoyantly as a plume, or hotspot. “Only the lithosphere has the strength and the brittle behavior to fracture in an earthquake.” http://www.seismo.unr.edu/ftp/pub/louie/class/100/plate-tectonics.html
Dr. J. Louie said, “occasionally,” yet there are daily reports of disasters from the four corners of the earth and a whole lot of places in between- most with no commonality to geography. Some of the quakes are near tectonic plates, but not all.
The recent earthquakes have many people feeling earthquake anxiety and wondering if they are foretelling “The Big One” in the United States, which geologists say is inevitable.
But the U.S. Geological Survey insists the number of major quakes occurring has not increased in frequency, yet people continue to be unusually concerned. There is a widespread perception that something unusual is going on – a pervasive level of anxiety regarding the stability of the earth under our feet – something we normally take for granted. http://news.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978171654
Is it just pure randomness? “In the last few years, scientists have found a new source of randomness that cannot be produced by a computer program. This is called algorithmic randomness and it is the gold standard when it comes to the absence of order.” http://www.technologyreview.com/blog/arxiv/25041/
Now we are witnessing volcanic swarms! Thirty years ago, At 8:32 Sunday morning, May 18, 1980, Mount St. Helen’s erupted. Shaken by an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, the north face of this tall symmetrical mountain collapsed in a massive rock debris avalanche. Nearly 230 square miles of forest was blown down or buried beneath volcanic deposits… http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/mshnvm/
” A swarm of small earthquakes began Monday at a volcano near Anchorage in what scientists said was a warning that Mount Redoubt could be waking from its slumber. “It is reminding us that it is an active volcano.” said Rick Wessels, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Anchorage.
Wessels said the current earthquakes were not connected to Sunday’s magnitude-7.2 quake in Mexico just south of the U.S. border.
We wouldn’t expect a connection? Except, maybe there is a connection.

Thousands of miles away:
An Icelandic volcano, dormant for 200 years, has erupted, ripping a 1km-long fissure in a field of ice. The volcano near Eyjafjallajoekull glacier began to erupt just after midnight, sending lava a hundred metres high. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8578576.stm
Eyjafjallajokull, the Icelandic volcano that has continued to belch lava, ash and steam since first erupting last weekend, isn’t the direct problem. It’s Katla, the noisier neighbor, that’s the concern. If lava flowing from Eyjafjallajokull melts the glaciers that hold down the top of Katla, then Katla could blow its top, pumping gigantic amounts of ash into the atmosphere.
Air Travel Grounded due to Volcanic Ash
Scientists say history has proven that whenever the Eyjafjallajokull volcano erupts, Katla always follows — the only question is how soon
The Batu Tara volcano off Indonesia isn’t sleeping soundly either with the Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) showing an ash plume rising 7,000 ft on April 5 and spreading a plume more than 35km.
"NOAA understands and predicts changes in the Earth’s environment, from the depths of the ocean to the surface of the sun, and conserves and manages our coastal and marine resources."
NO WARNING? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, there are buoys everywhere to set off alarm bells. The Cyclone is one the most famous attraction in all of Coney Island and one of the most famous roller coasters in the world, (http://www.coneyislandcyclone.com/) Those who died and lost their homes got taken for a ride alright, especially with NOAA claiming to predict weather related disaster.
West Bengal is located at approximately, Latitude : 23° 00′ N Longitude : 87° 00′ E. The closet data buoy is hundreds of miles away at Station 23101
National Institute for Ocean Technology
Location: 14N 83.3E http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=23101 It is apparently out of order. Could it have predicted the coming cyclone to give warning? It was supposed to.
Relative Intensities of NOAA POES Energetic Particles
Perhaps it is the Earth’s bombardment of Energetic Particles or Space Weather causing an abundance of earthquakes, volcanoes and cyclones all on one day.
The expanding cloud could deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field around April 17th. NOAA forecasters estimate a 35% chance of polar geomagnetic activity when the CME arrives. Photo byJo Dahlmans of Ulestraten, The Netherlands.
Coincidences or not, the Earth is ticked off. I wonder when CERN powers down if the Earth will settle down as well.

Maybe God had a bad day, as March 28, was also Easter Sunday. http://www.usccb.org/nab/032810.shtml Though, I take my tin foil hat off the think if God was pissed off the calamity would be far more reaching than a coal mining disaster. Maybe an earthquake in Mexico instead?
CERN and FERMI are still setting world plasma records, the solar flares are at an uptick and so far it it not the end of the world as we know it,,,,unless you are one of the dead from the recent quakes or coal mining incidents.

The weather is here, wish you were beautiful. This morning’s Space Shuttle Launch was outstanding. A marvel of science and technology. YET, how many earthquakes can you count today? http://quake.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Quakes/quakes0.htm
A whole flipping lot of them as CERN’s LHC remains powered up, setting world plasma collider records.
