The National Guard is headed for the Mexican U.S. border.http://www.nationalguard.com/  President Obama in his infinite wisdom or, from reading the Nation’s leading poll’s supporting Arizona’s immigration law( http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll ) is sending troops.  It is not so obvious that it is for immigration control, as the Mexican Embassy point out that troops will be on guard against the illegal flows of weapons and bulk cash into Mexico, which provide organized crime with its firepower and its ability to corrupt.

In a statement from Embassy of Mexico – http://portal.sre.gob.mx/usa/index.php?option=news&task=viewarticle&sid=297

Regarding the Administration’s decision to send 1,200 National Guard servicemen to the US Southern border, the Government of Mexico trusts that this decision will help to channel additional US resources to enhance efforts to prevent the illegal flows of weapons and bulk cash into Mexico, which provide organized crime with its firepower and its ability to corrupt.

Additionally, the Government of Mexico expects that National Guard personnel will strengthen US operations in the fight against transnational organized crime that operates on both sides of our common border and that it will not, in accordance to its legal obligations, conduct activities directly linked to the enforcement of immigration laws.

Mexico is determined to continue working on its side of the border to enhance the security and well-being of border communities, and to deter and dismantle organized crime and its links to drug trafficking and human smuggling.

As part of our joint strategy in the fight against transnational organized crime, there are actions that our two governments have undertaken together, and there are other measures taken independently by Mexico and by the US within their respective territories. In this regard, the Mexican Government fully respects the sovereign decisions of the US Government, but underscores that joint responsibility must continue to underpin our joint efforts in rolling-back transnational organized crime operating on both sides of the border.

As the commander-in-chief, I believe he is supposed to be in charge of the Nation’s Military, not states National Guard troops.  Others are of the same opinion:

“There is no modern precedent for Congress to direct the president to deploy troops in the manner sought by the Amendment,” National Security Adviser James Jones and Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Adviser John Brennan wrote to Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin (D-Mich.)

“It represents unwarranted interference with the Commander-in-Chief’s responsibilities to direct the employment of our Armed Forces and thus infringes on the President’s role in the management of the Total Force,” they wrote. Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0510/37759.html#ixzz0p2l86o32

USARNORTH conducts Homeland Defense and Civil Support operations, and Theater Security Cooperation activities, as the U.S. Northern Command Joint Force Land Component Command and the Army Service Component Command in order to protect the American people and their way of life.

We have U.S. Servicemen and women on active duty on U.S. soil in violation of Posse Comitatus. If we are breaking protocol anyway, why not get it over with and send the military to secure the border with Mexico? “…to protect the American people and their way of life!”

The Joint Task Force Civil Service mission statement, http://www.jtfcs.northcom.mil/  reads:

JTF-CS anticipates, plans and integrates USNORTHCOM chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) consequence management operations, and when directed, establishes command and control of DOD forces in response to a CBRNE incident to assist local authorities in saving lives, preventing further injury and providing temporary critical support.

As much as I am against active duty troops on our soil, if they are going to be here, then utilize them here.  Don’t wait for another terrorist act to occur.  Post 9-11, the security of our nation remains at risk.  JTF-CS if so ordered would restore at least some sanity to our border, while of course pissing Mexico off.  Tough.  Rumor has it that there are plenty of Russian troops on U.S Soil, perhaps they’d lend a hand too. http://www.resistnet.com/forum/topics/alert-russian-troops-in-us-for

Our borders are being overwhelmed by Mexican people crossing into the greatest country on earth, illegally.  We are fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  North Korea and South Korea are playing a deadly game of tit for tat, and China’ aggression towards the U.S. has been pretty clear while it remains our largest debt holder.  Oil is spilling by thousand’s of gallons every day.

Where is our commander-in-chief?

Obama will travel from Washington to Chicago on Thursday for a long weekend with his family, as planned. From there, he will go to Louisiana on Friday and return to Chicago that evening. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hIfwUDeBxbANKX2GATS6YOiMTnJQD9FU1EK00  excellent commentary on the President’s movement and decisions can be found at http://thisweekwithbarackobama.blogspot.com/.  The President’s minute by minute location also with commentary can be found at http://www.politico.com/politico44/

Besides the multiple crisis we are battling, this weekend is Memorial Day, the day we honor our nation’s dead military personnel.  The president previously confused Memorial Day with Veteran’s Day. “Someone might want to explain to the President that it is a little difficult to say “thank you” or send care packages to the deceased.” http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2257872/posts

On Monday, Obama is scheduled to participate in a Memorial Day ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill.   In Obama’s absence, Vice President Joe Biden will participate in the customary wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery outside Washington.

Obama will however make it back to Washington in time next week to honor Paul McCartney, who has sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy notes Michelle Malkin. http://michellemalkin.com/2010/05/25/ap-obama-to-skip-arlington-memorial/

Obama may be President, even though he still has not provided a birth certificate proving he is eligible. Still, it is pretty un-American for The President to not lay the traditional wreath at Arlington Cemetary.  What can you expect from the man who couldn’t bother to put his hand on his heart during  The Pledge of Allegiance?

911 Mystery92000DOJTerrorismManual

It would not be appropriate to be a writer and not have something to say on the 8th anniversary of the tragic events of September 11th.  What words are there to convey the immense destruction brought upon U.S. soil?

Pissed off is my choice in words.

Pissed that idiots could not put the pieces together ahead of time to prevent the attacks in the first place.  The Phoenix Memo clearly outlined unheeded warnings about Islamic terrorists training at US flight schools. http://www.thememoryhole.org/911/phoenix-memo/

Pissed that the US Justice Department’s Air Force Manual 10-100: Airman’s Manual, Aug 1999 version, and the manual “Managing Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents: An Executive Level Program for Sheriffs” which taught local law enforcement how to deal with terrorist attacks were a failure.  In practicing for an event like 911; the simplest statement to issue- “run” would have saved thousands.  Instead, they told people to stay in the buildings.

Twice as pissed that The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (also known as the 9-11 Commission) failed miserably to do its job.  http://www.9-11commission.gov/

“I don’t believe any longer that it’s a matter of connecting the dots. I think they had a veritable blueprint, and we want to know why they didn’t act on it.”— Senator Arlen Specter, a Republican member of the joint intelligence committee that investigated 9/11.

“Had one human being or a common group of human beings sat down with all that information, we could have gotten to the hijackers before they flew those four airplanes either into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or the ground of Pennsylvania.”— Senator Bob Graham, then Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence; Democratic co-chairman of the joint intelligence panel that investigated 9/11

I am pissed that school’s do not teach what happened on 911 other than if you are lucky, on the day of September 11, 2001.  The twin towers poster should be hanging right next to the flag of The United States of America that the children face as they say The Pledge of Allegiance.  Look at it everyday and see the sacrifice.

911wtc

I am pissed that there was no order to fly flags at half mast today in honor and respect of the day.  President Obama ordered that “US flags fly at half-staff at the White House, all public buildings, all military posts, all naval vessels, and diplomatic outposts around the globe until sunset on Sunday to honor Senator Edward M. Kennedy.  http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2009/08/obama_orders_fl.html  He’s buried now, flags are back up. So is  my dander.

I am pissed that the media rarely shows the twin towers or any images from September 11.  Too gruesome?  Tuff shit. Play the 911 emergency phone calls, show the planes, play the image of the men and women jumping to their death.  Too inconvenient?  “Never forget – as long as it’s not too bothersome.” said,  Nick Monteleone in the New York Daily News.

I am pissed that ground zero is still a concrete hole in the ground.  While lease holders argue about the name of the building, eight years later, not much has been done.  The NY Port Authority should have made it a park. Period.

I am pissed that no one has convinced me either way that there was, or wasn’t a conspiracy set up by President Bush, Dick Rumsfeld or someone else.  Charlie Sheen has gotten on the band wagon claiming, ” I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with our 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, while he was out promoting his health care reform initiative.” Focusing on the events of 9/11 and the subsequent investigation—http://www.infowars.com/twenty-minutes-with-the-president/

I am pissed that there is enough evidence that our tax dollars were spent on the C.I.A training Osama Bin Laden, Al Qaeda and the Taliban.  I am pissed at the war with Iraq and now Afghanistan.  Thousands of dead soldiers and civilians.  I know, it’s better to fight there than here- but get in, do your job, get out.  Don’t linger like a fly pestering a camel’s ass.

I am pissed that our President saw fit to bow to a Saudi King.

obama-bow-to-saudi-king

I am pissed that while there can never be complete safety, that America’s borders remain wide open to illegal immigrants, drug dealers and terrorists alike.

“A 2,000 mile state-of-the-art border fence has been estimated to cost between four and eight billion dollars. Costs for a wall that would run the entire length of the border might be as low as $851 million for a standard 10-foot prison chain link fence topped by razor wire. For another $362 million, the fence could be electrified. A larger 12-foot tall, two-foot-thick concrete wall painted on both sides would run about $2 billion. Initially it was estimated that the San Diego fence would cost $14 million — about $1 million a mile. The first 11 miles of the fence eventually cost $42 million — $3.8 million per mile, and the last 3.5 miles may cost even more since they cover more difficult terrain. An additional $35 million to complete the final 3.5 miles was approved in 2005 by the Department of Homeland Security — $10 million per mile.http://www.globalsecurity.org/security/systems/mexico-wall.htm

It’s would be laughable if it weren’t true.  Sub the job out to a private contractor, create some fukcing jobs and keep our borders safe.

Top it all off, from National Geographic, “Many species, including the mountain lion, find prey and mates via migration corridors that cut through public lands along the 1,950-mile (3,138-kilometer) border. the International League of Conservation Photographers sent a team of world-renowned photographers, writers, and filmmakers to the borderlands as part of a Rapid Assessment Visual Expedition (RAVE), which took place between January 25 and February 17, 2009. They returned with thousands of images—some of them presented here http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/04/photogalleries/us-mexico-border-fence-wildlife/

Now I am really pissed.  Boo hoo for the poor cat that can’t come over the border.  Humpty Dumpty sat on a fence.  The photographers should be sentenced to sit there for the same amount of time documenting the human trafficking, drug trafficking, gun trafficking, and illegal entry of who knows potentially carrying either Swine Flu or some weapon of mass destruction.

Last thing, the thing that pissed me off the most.  I am pissed this day to be recognized as a National Day of Service and Remembrance .  How much of our money is going to be spent on taxpayer-funded grants for projects?

You ought to be pissed off too.

And, trying to strengthen their clout, activists have proposed Congressional Resolution 92, which would, according to Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute, request “that the president issue a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe the National Day of Silence with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities.”  [Author’s emphasis]

Read this excellent post on Gene’s Blog for more information, and this post from One News Now about Congressional Resolution 92. Then call your representative and urge him/her to vote NO  http://californiacrusader.wordpress.com/2009/04/09/gay-and-lesbian-day-of-silence/

Because, you know, the GLBT community is trying to brainwash our kids…
Just got this from my dad, who got is from his sister in California. Apparently she’s on their list because of Prop 8.

I can’t even BEGIN to formulate a reply to this.

Please help us get this information into the hands of as many people as possible by forwarding it to your entire e-mail list of family and friends.

If your child’s school allows “Day of Silence” propaganda, keep your child at home April 17

April 7, 2009

Dear Member,

The Day of Silence, which is sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), fast approaches. This year it will take place in most public schools on April 17. On this day, thousands of public high schools and increasing numbers of middle schools will allow students to remain silent throughout an entire day-even during instructional time-to promote GLSEN’s socio-political goals and its controversial, unproven, and destructive theories on the nature and morality of homosexuality.

Parents must actively oppose this hijacking of the classroom for political purposes. Please join the national effort to restore to public education a proper understanding of the role of government-subsidized schools. You can help de-politicize the learning environment by calling your child out of school if your child’s school allows students to remain silent during instructional time on the Day of Silence.

Parents should no longer passively countenance the political usurpation of public school classrooms through student silence.

If students will be permitted to remain silent, parents can express their opposition most effectively by calling their children out of school on the Day of Silence and sending letters of explanation to their administrators, their children’s teachers, and all school board members. One reason this is effective is that most school districts lose money for each student absence.

School administrators err when they allow the classroom to be disrupted and politicized by granting students permission to remain silent throughout an entire day.

Visit this website for complete information on opposing the Day of Silence.

Take Action!

1. Call your local schools and ask whether they permit students or teachers to remain silent in the classroom on “Day of Silence.” IMPORTANT: Do not ask any administrator, school board member, or teacher if the school sponsors, endorses, or supports DOS. Schools do not technically sponsor the Day of Silence. Technically, it is students, often students in the gay-straight alliance, who sponsor it. Many administrators will tell you that they do not sponsor the DOS when, in fact, they do permit students and sometimes even teachers to remain silent during instructional time. Also ask administrators whether they permit teachers to create lesson plans to accommodate student silence.

2. Find out what date the event is planned for your school. (The national date in 2009 is April 17, but some schools observe DOS on a different date).

3. Inform the school of your intention to keep your children home on that date and explain why. (A sample letter is available.)

Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you consider making a small tax-deductible contribution to help us continue?
