The powerful 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake that hit Eastern Turkey – Oct 23, 2011.

We have to pause to send thoughts and prayers to the people of  Turkey after suffering a catastrophic earthquake.  That being said, WTF?

In past we had reported planetary alignments with comet Elenin causing big earthquakes.(Scientific study). As there seems to be a pattern forming every time Elenin lines up with Earth and another planet or the sun we have an earthquake, the nearer Elenin gets the bigger the earthquakes.

And now on another Elenin – Earth (Distance: 0.246 AU), 2005 YU55 – Earth (Distance: 0.138 AU) close alignment, turkey got hit by two massive earthquakes of 7.3, 6.1 magnitude.
 
While a two week old baby and her mother were rescued and prisoners have set fire to the jail, the aftershocks continue.
 
But, 
Just before 18:00 UTC Monday a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) swept past the Ace Spacecraft and a Sudden Geomagnetic Impulse was detected shortly after. The solar wind reached near 550 km/s at its peak and the Bz was tilting sharply north and then south for long durations. Strong geomagnetic storming reaching close to the G3 Level took place at high latitudes. The storming has since subsided.  The cause of all this activity was a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) seen here which resulted from a disappearing solar filament on Oct 22, 2011. Thousands of dead birds will be collected from an Ontario shoreline on Monday as the province’s Ministry of Natural Resources tries to determine what killed the waterfowl.

Officials estimate as many as 6,000 dead birds have washed up on the Georgian Bay’s shoreline. The carcasses are scattered along a nearly three-kilometre stretch near Wasaga Beach. As if the lovely people of Japan don’t have enough to to deal with post tsunami, a 5.2 magnitude quake struck Fukushima Prefecture overnight, just after 2 a.m local time Wednesday.  And,  a 6.1 Earthquake hit Hokkaido, Japan Region – Oct 21, 2011.  Iceland hasn’t been left out of the mix either- A 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred 631.93 mi NE of REYKJAVIK, Iceland October 24, 2011.

Solar Storm Hit, Earthquakes Slam Alaska

Earthquakes are slamming Alaska today as the Solar Storm continues to pummel the earth with geomagnetic activity. 

This morning a Magnitude 6.3 Earthquake struck the  ANDREANOF ISLANDS, ALEUTIAN IS., ALASKA. at 2010 August 04 12:58:24 UTC http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/us2010znbf.php

6.3M is nothing to shake a stick at. 

HAARP’s magnetometers were fairly calm until the start of the solar storm, kicked off by Sunspot 1052.  It is now picking up significant anomalies in the magnetosphere.  The three traces represent mutually orthogonal components of the earth’s magnetic field as follows:

  • The “H” component (black trace) is positive magnetic northward
  • The “D” component (red trace) is positive eastward
  • The “Z” component (blue trace) is positive downward

Real-time monitoring of the Earth’s magnetic field, Data for research and practical application from USGS  is showing major spikes from Alaska all the way to Guam. You can view the real time data at  http://geomag.usgs.gov/realtime/, which supposedly demonstrates a wide dispersal of geomagnetic energy affecting far apart distances. 

As we grab for our tinfoil hat, the Station- CMO Fairbanks, AK, located at 25.13°/212.14° at 197 meters, went OFFLINE BEFORE the quake hit.  It was picked up at almost all reporting stations including as far as the station at SJG, Cayey, PR,71.89°/293.85°, 424 meters.

Spacequakes have been going on for sometime in our universe, but now we have a model prediction thanks to the satellites circling the Sun. 

In 2007, THEMIS discovered the precursors of spacequakes. The action begins in Earth’s magnetic tail, which is stretched out like a windsock by the million-miles-per-hour solar wind. Sometimes the tail can become so stretched and tension-filled, it snaps back like an over-torqued rubber band.

Solar wind plasma trapped in the tail hurtles toward Earth. On more than one occasion, the five THEMIS spacecraft were in the line of fire when these “plasma jets” swept by. Clearly, the jets were going to hit Earth. But what would happen then? The fleet moved closer to the planet to find out.

“Now we know,” said THEMIS project scientist David Sibeck of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. “Plasma jets trigger spacequakes.”

According to THEMIS, the jets crash into the geomagnetic field some 18,600 miles (30,000 km) above Earth’s equator. The impact sets off a rebounding process, in which the incoming plasma actually bounces up and down on the reverberating magnetic field, akin to a tennis ball bouncing up and down on a carpeted floor. If plasma bounces up and down on the reverberating magnetic field after it crashes someplace above the equator, could it have bounced on over to Alaska to cause this earthquake and the one earlier today- Magnitude 6.4 – EASTERN NEW GUINEA REG, PAPUA NEW GUINEA,  2010 August 04 07:15:33 UTC http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/us2010znav.php?

That’s a pretty big bounce.

If the satellites can observe CME’s from the Sun, is there nothing NASA has available to track where the plasma impact occurs on Earth? 

Could this solar alert provide a perfect covert opportunity for advanced weapons experiments using SCALAR weapons?  What are the chances that a station goes off line in the vicinity of an earthquake before one hits?  Could HAARP have fired a beam up to heat the ionosphere causing the quake?

What of Accelerator-based experiments shooting particles through the Earth? A solar storm is the perfect storm to attempt some new experiment that could cause of quakes and disruptions.

The neutrinos are generated at CERN when a proton beam from the Super Proton Synchrotron strikes a target, producing pions and kaons. These quickly decay, giving rise mainly to νμ that pass unhindered through the Earth’s crust towards Gran Sasso. The appearance and subsequent decay of a τ in the OPERA experiment would provide the telltale sign of νμ to ντ oscillation through a charged-current interaction. http://cerncourier.com/cws/article/cern/43178

While this solar storm seems minor, millions of people are getting there first opportunity to see the aurora borealis with a wider than normal viewing area depending on the weather

With all that energy, could a wormhole form due to the magnetic properties of the north pole, interacting with the solar winds?  Shall we send our politicians for a look?

While Alaska and New Guinea are rattling, finally at BP at the  Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill in The Gulf of Mexico, “claimed “a significant milestone” in efforts to plug a leaking well for good on Wednesday ahead of a U.S. government report that will show most of the spilled crude is already gone.

“The good news is that the vast majority of the oil appears to be gone,” Carol Browner said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Space Weather Events

Previously issued Geomagnetic Storm Warnings for today from SpaceWeather show little sign of having any impact on the terrestrial Earth or its orbiting communications systems.  Perhaps it is the Luck of the Irish, a miscalculation or the basic fact that while Coronal Mass Ejections (CME’s) can be tracked scientifically, the outcome can not be predicted with 100% of accuracy.

Solar Flares have been associated with causing earthquakes, but today the largest rattler is an area known for frequency-http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_all.php

From the HAARP Instruments we also see a similar spike just about the same as when this morning’s earthquake hit.  Nice to see instruments providing similar data.

All in all, a quiet start to the morning.  I am hoping the loudest vibrations I pick up on today are the sounds of bagpipes, chewing of a corned beef sandwiches, and the gulping of numerous pints of Guinness beer.

In other news, may “The Luck of the Irish,” be with you and America as it seems the “Slaughter Solution,” in violation of  The Constitution, will move forward in passing health care reform.  We’re going to need all the luck we can get.  Happy Saint Patrick’s Day.

Current Space Weather Warnings

A Geomagnetic Storm is heading to earth on or about March 17th, 2010- St. Patrick’s Day.  https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/03/14/magnetic-storm-st-patricks-day-cme-approaching-earth/ Known to cause electrical interruptions and blackouts, last night in Chile millions of people were in a blackout with no power.  The above chart illustrates the current warnings coming from space.

A massive power failure h as plunged quake-hit Chile into darkness, stretching 2,000km (1,250 miles) and affecting up to 90% of the population. …Chile’s infrastructure was devastated by the quake on 27 February .  The operators of the electricity grid said the blackout was caused by the failure of a high-voltage transformer about 700km south of the capital.  Officials said the blackout was not directly related to the earthquake. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8567910.stm

If the power outage wasn’t related to the earthquake, was the reason the high-voltage transformer failed due to interference from the geomagnetic storm or just a mechanical malfunction? 

Rather inconveniently- Real-Time Prediction of Large Geomagnetic Storms by A joint product of the Plasma Physics Division, Naval Research Laboratory, the WIND MFI team of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and the World Data Center C2 (WDC-C2) for Geomagnetism, Kyoto University, Japan,  is not working!

The real-time prediction method is currently undergoing testing. The algorithm requires solar wind data as input and calculates the probability that the solar wind being encountered presages the imminent arrival of a geoeffective structure resulting in a storm exceeding a specified threshold.http://wwwppd.nrl.navy.mil/prediction/index.html

Exceeding a threshold? 

Is this an indicator that the solar activity is so increased that the predicted geomagnetic storm approaching Earth is far more than what scientists are letting on?

The Journal of Geophysical Research on March 6, 2010 released reports of a study that claims, “Satellite observations often show that relativistic electron fluxes that decrease during a geomagnetic storm main phase do not recover their prestorm level even when the storm has substantially recovered.”  http://science.journalfeeds.com/astronomy-astrophysics/journal-of-geophysical-research-space-physics/numerical-estimates-of-drift-loss-and-dst-effect-for-outer-radiation-belt-relativistic-electrons-with-arbitrary-pitch-angle/20100305/   They don’t recover?  Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.  WTF.

Another study claims that, ” Using observations and two different global MHD simulations, we demonstrate that the solar wind speed controls the magnetospheric response such that the higher the speed, the more dynamic and irregular is the magnetospheric response.” http://science.journalfeeds.com/astronomy-astrophysics/journal-of-geophysical-research-space-physics/magnetospheric-modes-and-solar-wind-energy-coupling-efficiency/20100305/  Finally something that makes common sense- the faster the sun’s wind speed, the more the magnetosphere can be altered.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that, “With the beginning of a new 11-year cosmic cycle, the number of sunspots will increase along with the possibility of a solar super storm. NASA data show the peak of solar activity will be in 2015. …Sunspots were discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610.  http://www.smh.com.au/environment/solar-storms-could-wreak-havoc-with-electronic-systems-20100313-q53m.html 

Forget about waiting until 2015, March of 2010 is suddenly proving to be an active time for the sun.  If you are into shortwave radio you can tune in for a listen.  “We are currently in the beginning of cycle 24. Each cycle has been numbered since the cycle was first observed by scientists. So far, “24” has been slow to get busy, and ham-radio operators and shortwave listeners have been looking forward to better conditions for the last few years.

There are signs that 24 might be getting ready to put on a show. While talking on a local repeater several nights ago, Ken Blume (K2UPI) noted that he had recently experienced abnormally good HF conditions. http://blog.syracuse.com/cny/2010/03/radio_buffs_tune_in_to_solar_cycle.html

Not only can you listen in but depending on where you live, just look outside to see the effects from the sun on Earth.

It looks good from space and, “Natural, perhaps, but given the stakes to the critical fishing industry, and the suspicion that the eruptions may be getting more frequent and intense, an international collaboration is starting to examine possible links to global warming or other large ecological disturbances.

We already know Ecological Disturbances can be a result of any number of things from HAARP, EISCAT, LHC, etc, Solar Flares, and just maybe  influenced by geomagnetic storms.

Magnetic Storm Prediction for St. Patrick’s Day, CME Approaching Earth

This morning, the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory recorded a halo CME emerging from the vicinity of sunspot 1054: movie. The cloud appears to be heading toward Earth and it could spark geomagnetic storms when it arrives on or about March 17th. This Coronal Mass Ejection or CME’s appear to be related to the impact of a series of comets that plunged into the sun and disappeared on March 14, 2010.

CME’s are known to wreak havoc with the Earth’s  magnetosphere, often causing interruptions in radio transmissions, causing power outages (blackouts), and causing damage to satellites and electrical transmission lines. wiki-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronal_mass_ejection. 

In March 1989, a geomagnetic storm triggered the collapse of a power grid in Quebec, leaving an estimated 6 million people without electricity for nine hours. … a CME initiates an interplanetary tsunami—a flood of billions of tons of protons and electrons bursting from the sun that is capable of massive interference with any flux-sensitive apparatus it happens to encounter.  The Industrial Physicist at http://www.aip.org/tip/INPHFA/vol-9/iss-6/p18.html

Some claim that there is a magnetic reversal going on as illustrated in the above video.  A perfect storm for the 2012 doomsday believers.

Among other things that could alter the magnetosphere are experiments from HAARP, who temporarily excite a limited area of the ionosphere by beaming what it claims is very low frequency radio waves (VLF’s).

According to the HAARP website, it’s transmitter “becomes useless during a geomagnetic storm. During these common solar induced events, the natural variations reach a level that is more than 10,000 times stronger than any variation that HAARP could produce… The Earth’s static magnetic field, in turn, is more than 1,000 times stronger than the variations that occur during a magnetic storm and more than 10,000,000 times stronger than the variations that HAARP could produce.”

In turn, if HAARP really has, could, would or had influence on earthquakes; it is clearly giving warning that a magnetic storm could greatly impact the earth.

Numerous sites like Aaronsreality http://aaronsreality.blogspot.com/ claim that the use of HAARP can not cause earthquakes saying it doesn’t have enough power.  Although he speculates:

 HAARP could be prepared to move the discharge if possible. The calculation requires knowledge of the discharge fault and attraction/repulsive power necessary to move it a few hundred miles out of populated areas. Moving the discharge may reduce the discharge from one 7-9 magnitude earthquake to many 4 and 5s.

The Calm Before The Magnetic Storm on The Chicago River

As a geomagnetic storm approaches, the Lurking on the Grassy Knoll Institute noted that every year since 1961, for the St. Patrick’s Day parade, the city dyes the Chicago river green. The probabilities for significant disturbances in Earth’s magnetic field are currently 30%-35% probability in the next 24-48 hours says SpaceWeather.   Is that percentage enough to warrant preventative measures against additional large quakes or at the very least loosing cell phone and Internet services? 

A poster on the popular Godlike Productions message board predicted large quakes might occur on February 27.  At 3:45 AM today, a magnitude 8.8 earthquake struck Chile, the fifth or sixth strongest quake of the last 100 years.  The poster, “ZOSIME,” based his prediction on the impact of a coronal mass ejection (CME) upon the earth’s magnetosphere.  The CME eruption was observed leaving the sun several days ago.  via http://vanshardware.com/2010/02/8-8-chilean-earthquake-predicted-two-days-ago/

After a solar storm strikes the Earth a geomagnetic storm erupts. The increased magnetic field strength of the magnetosphere pushes down on the ionosphere, which pushes against the oceans. It is due to the electromagnetic properties of sea water that the oceans become temporarily heavier. The extra heaviness of the sea water, coupled with the daily tidal forces of the Sun and Moon cause greater than normal forces to press against both the eastern and western boundaries of the Pacific Plate, but more so the western boundary in the South Pacific Islands region.

To be precautionary, first unplug anything connected to the electrical grid to prevent power surges. Next head out for some green eggs, and corned beef then wash it down with a green beer or two.  When we see the Leprechauns running for cover, and the sky turning green we’ll know if the luck of the Irish holds out for Earth’s electronic grids.

Norway Lights Make UFO Believers; Alien DNA Found in Human DNA

We so wanted to believe the beautiful lights in Norway were  a foreign object, some sort of worm hole, a UFO, or other non-worldly thing or event.

The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is the world’s largest civilian UFO scientific research organization.  http://www.mufon.com/  It “is dedicated to the scientific study of UFO’s for the benefit of humanity.  

The world-renowned physicist Lee Smolin author of Life of the Cosmos says that what we should look for to confirm the existence of intelligent life in the Milky Way is a message left for us some time in the last several hundred million years. 

Smolin suggests that one such message might have been left in the genetic code of some living creature in the language of nucleic acid bases in the DNA, confident that the ability of living creatures to replicate DNA would keep the message relatively uncontaminated for the time scales of this order. There is a great deal of DNA in most species that does not play any biological role and varies enormously from species to species without apparent cause. The Puzzle has been solved at least in part supposedly by the Human Genome Project, finding that 97% non-coding sequences in human DNA is no less than genetic code of extraterrestrial life forms.

Giant Virus, Alien in Origin?

Scientists in France have isolated a new giant virus that lurks inside amoeba and whose gene pool includes genetic material from other species.  The virus “is a completely new viral form,” said Didier Raoult, head of infectious and emerging tropical disease research at Aix-Marseille 2 University in France.   The genome of the so-called Marseillevirus encompasses a complex repertoire of genes that are “very different from the DNA of other virus forms,” and shows that there is genetic exchange between other micro-organisms such a giant viruses and bacteria found in amoeba, he told AFP in an interview.

The genome news network said in April of 2003, http://www.genomenewsnetwork.org/articles/04_03/giant.shtml “It has more genes than several bacteria,” says Bernard La Scola of Unité des Rickettsies in Marseille, France, and a member of the research team. “We are trying to understand why a virus that is basically a cell parasite needs to have such a high number of genes.”  The virus does not appear to have contributed to the outbreak of pneumonia in the early nineties. “Nevertheless, we have some data that suggest Mimivirus could be an agent of pneumonia in humans,” says La Scola.

Could these large virus be the cause of the pneumonia, and hemorrhagic pneumonia like deaths we are seeing in H1N1 and H1N5 mutations? Here’s a thought, do the otherwise healthy people that are dying from Swine Flu have more cross species, or extraterrestial DNA than the rest of the human population?

Norway Lights Blamed on Russians Missile- Where did it land?

Norwegian authorities are investigating strange lights seen in the arctic sky. The spiraling white light was seen for several minutes on Wednesday morning. Locals say the light appeared to be bigger than the moon. Thousands of Norwegians bombarded the Meteorological Institute to ask what the light could possibly be.

What missile hangs out for 12 minutes? Apparently a Russian missile as, ” Russia admitted on Thursday another failed test of its much-touted Bulava intercontinental missile, after unusual lights were spotted in Norway across the border from the launch site.” http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2009/12/10/world/international-us-russia-missile-failure.html?_r=1  Well then, what goes up must come down so there will certainly be physical evidence of it being a missile.  Right? Right.

Probably just the aliens wanting to see President Obama get the Nobel Peace Prize. 

I much prefer the conspiracy angle!

Maybe the folks at Fermi, CERN’s Hadron Collider, HAARP in Alaska, NASA in Space, and EISCAT, the acronym for the European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association, gathered all their technology together for a big plasma burst test as prelude to December 31st, 2009.  New Year’s Eve will offer a blue moon with two full moons occurring in December.
