Did HAARP hit the Phobos-Grunt Probe?  Probably not, but put your tinfoil hats on anyway.

A Soyuz rocket launched successfully from the Russian-leased Baikonur cosmodrome this morning on its way to the ISS.  We woke up early to watch a beautiful launch. On December 17, 2010,  from the new $800 million facility in French Guiana, “A Russian Soyuz rocket fired six satellites into space Friday, launching missions to serve defense agencies in Europe and Chile with high-resolution imagery and electronic intelligence.”  http://www.spaceflightnow.com/soyuz/vs02/111217launch/. 

In the post Shuttle era it is a huge sigh of relief.  In August, an unmanned Progress cargo ship headed for the space station crashed – the rocket that failed was the same kind used by the Soyuz. 

The rocket that launched Phobos was a Zenit-2.

The Fobos-Grunt or Phobos-Grunt or just Phobos  is an attempted Russian probe that was designed to collect rock and samples from one of Mars’ moons Phobos, and bring them back to Earth to study.  It also carries China’s first Mars satellite, Yinhou-1.  A pretty ambitious effort considering this is Russia 16th failed mission attempt to the Red Planet. 

Phobos was launched on 9 November 2011 at 02:16 local time (8 November 2011, 20:16 UTC)  from the Cosmodrome. Apparently, subsequent rocket burns intended to set the craft on a course for Mars failed, leaving it stranded in low Earth orbit. It’s stuck around 201km perigee and 275 km apogee giving skywatchers plenty of looks.

At about two and a half hours into the mission, something went haywire and it is now expected to mostly burn up in the Earth’s atmosphere.  So why the failure?

Eleven minutes after launch, it was in an elliptical orbit around 345km above the Earth.  In the attempt to raise the orbit and get Phobos on its mission to Mars, two firings from the probes 13 tons of hydrazine fueled tanks were planned. 

Russian Space agency officials say neither burn took place.

Along comes an amateur astronomy taking a mediocre video that captures what appears to be Phobos with an unidentified object nearby.

I have just received word from the project that there seems to be a serious problem.

After the planned first burn of the engine, the spacecraft was not found in the predicted orbit. Alternative radar
observations preliminarily show that there are two objects in the orbit with parameters the same as before the planned
engine burn. Observers are requested to attempt to discover the spacecraft in the initial LEO parking orbit.

This is the official pre-launch estimated TLE of the LEO parking orbit:

I imagine that one of the two objects seen on the radar could be the final stage of the booster. Accurate descriptions
and counts of the number of objects seen, as well as position and time would be useful.

Here in Brazil some observers reported that they observed the probe in the
“illuminated phase” of the expected path.

But one of my colleagues (called Heverton) that lives in the city of
Umuarama of state of Paraná (south of Brazil –

two objects in the orbit, in the own words:

“I saw, but I found odd. First I saw a point a little slow, but I think it was
the ISS. Then I saw Phobos and right behind it a point with a light a little
weaker. I think it was the remains of the rocket??
If my eyes not deceived me, I saw the light getting a little stronger
at the estimated
time of ignition. Too bad I can do any record”*

I asked more accurate details about the observation and today he wrote:

“Accurately I can not say anything, but I saw it from about 20:55:30 and
20:57:00 (22:55:30 and 22:57:00 UT) . The brightness of the probe was greater
than the ISS shines normally, but much less bright than it was Jupiter. The
position, the best I can remember I tried to sketch with the help of

It was reported on December 6 buy columnist Leonard David from Space Insider that, “Pieces of the spacecraft had begun breaking off and re-entering the atmosphere with the rest of it expected to follow by early January. Was Phobos attacked by aliens?  There are hundreds of satellites besides this one to assail.  Was it the fact that we were about to invade Mars with an Earth species?  Oh, yes we were.  The Living Interplantetary Flight Experiment (LIFE) from The Planetary Society stored a package of micro-organisms onboard in the return capsule.  The bacterium Deinoccus radiodurans, a tiny microscopic invertebrate with eight legs and is known for its ability to survive high doses of radiation. http://planetary.org/programs/projects/life/facts.html

If it wasn’t the aliens or just some screw up along the way could it have been HAARP?  Lt. Gen. Nikolay Rodionov, a former commander of Russia’s ballistic missile systems, says covert U.S. radio beams — not any Russian screw-ups — scrubbed the interplanetary trip

Nothing personal but if anyone is going to use the ionosphere, I hope it is the U.S.A.  So what was HAARP up to?

All things considered, a flea on a camel’s ass makes more of a hicup than that.  

So maybe it wasn’t exactly HAARP. Or maybe HAARP was on re-runs from a previous day.  Could it have been an early warning radar interference mechanism?  Could it have been the Russians themselves? 

Recall Project Woodpecker and it’s satellite jamming efforts.  This was followed by the Duga-2, built on the same site and also used as our daily entry picture.

Woodpecker tracked launches from the far east and submarines in the Pacific Ocean as the missiles flew toward. It’s site lies within the 30 kilometer Zone of Alienation around the Chernobyl power plant.  It’s debatable if it remains operational today.

The Russian space program generally speaking is like the U.S. program, running out of money.  So who does have the money and the science to kill Phobos?

*Maybe it will land in a populated area/70% of Earth is water.

*Maybe Phobos is well on its way and this is a different satellite

*Maybe the Martians are hanging a do not disturb sign

Eclipse.  

As far as astronomy goes, we’d hardly call any of us experts.  We write from America’s  farmland, nestled between two major city airports and have an grass airstrip in the backyard.  A few folks are licensed pilots, and have served in the Air Force flying F-16’s and some bomber plane that the old man can’t remember the name of anymore.  We’ve always thought that flying, whether to the moon, planets or on an airplane is a privilege- not a right.   Baldwin should take heed.

The great thing about being rural is the night sky and no city lights. We have a good view of  weather fronts, contrails, chem-trails, satellites, and the sky in general.  A few favorites are NASA’s Solar Monitor, PUniverse (Physical), and Space Weather http://spaceweather.com/.  Last night we purchased SkySafari for iphone and highly recommend it.   http://www.southernstars.com/products/skysafari/index.html

All that Maxwell Smart could do with the phone in his shoe was talk.

We’ve turned our cell phones into a satellite and airplane tracking devices, but nothing beats the naked or enhanced telescopic eye.   A few days ago we found a UFO or something odd from the GOES satellite that we’ve never seen before.

Could it be  from Fukushima?  A giant amount of super heated particles damaging the ozone layer?  Is that why HAARP picked up absolutely NOTHING?  That is one heck of an entry for Phobos-Grunt. Not.

November 11, 2011, 11/11/11 at 11:11 am and 11:11 pm, the time and date will be a perfect same-numbered palindrome, it will read the same backward as forward.  It can only happen on one day every 100 years.  The last time it happened was November 11, 1911.  To make the day x-tra special, 11.11.11 is the only double-figure palindromic date; duh, there is no 22nd month.

We are once again winding our conspiracy clocks in honor of  apophenia, the human urge to see patterns in essentially random events.  Keep your conspiracy hat on ’til 11 seconds past 11 minutes, past 11 o’clock.

11.11.11 is  Armistice Day in the UK and Veteran’s Day in the U.S. 

It is the day after the full moon, which occured November 10, 2011 at 3:28.  As tides are usually higher during a full moon- Alaska got hit with another, “storm of the century,” producing well above hurricane-force winds with flooding from the tides. The storm now has its eye set on BC and Oregon.   

As FEMA and the FCC conducted the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) yesterday to a mediocre outcome; the entire EAS system test was canceled in Alaska.   The weather service said “a potent upper level disturbance” rotating around the Bering Sea storm is expected to bring eight to 20 centimeters of snowfall to the Anchorage area.  http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2011/11/10/alaska-storm-british-columbia.html?cmp=rss

Looks like absolutely nothing!

Meanwhile thousands of miles away, the El Hierro underwater volcano in The Canary Islands appears to be to slowing down a bit, although the beaches of Puerto Naos and Tacorón remain closed because of the risk of toxic gases. 

And what else can happen because of an under water volcano on November 11?  Big Waves!  Waves like those seen in Alaska?

Eye- caramba!  Monster waves!   La Restinga is the main port for fishing,  and already strongly affected by the eruption. You could always go to a movie!  From the director of the movie Saw, tomorrow is the release of the apocalyptic film 11-11, predicting the opening of  hell’s mouth.

Will something be coming from  Heaven’s 11th gate?

Then there are supposed the chosen ones.  11.11 is the special symbol of the ‘Spirit Guardians’ or ‘Midwayers,’ of a group of 1,111 celestial beings who supposedly look after mortals and manifest themselves in mid-morning.  Anyone betting they are visible at 11:11 am and pm?

On November 11, and in the coming days, keep looking up for the helpless Russian Mars Probe Phobos-Grunt that is stuck precariously low in Earth’s orbit.

The Phobos-Grunt spacecraft took off from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on November 9. But once in orbit around the Earth, its propulsion system failed to send the spacecraft on its year-long journey to Mars. It remains stuck in a dangerously low orbit that could eventually send it crashing back to Earth. Testing the Emergency Alert System.

Get your tinfoil hats on NOW.  You’re going to need them. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS). The nationwide test will occur on Wednesday, November 9 at 2 p.m. eastern standard time and may last up to three and a half minutes.

The EAS is a national alert and warning system established to enable the President United States (then, an act of the Truman administration) to notify the American public during emergencies.  NOAA’s National Weather Service, governors and state and local emergency authorities also use parts of the system to issue more localized emergency alerts. http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=55722

On November 9, at 2 PM EST, FEMA will transmit the EAS code for national level emergencies to Primary Entry Point (PEP) stations in the national level of the EAS. The PEP stations will then rebroadcast the alert to the general public in their broadcast vicinity, as well as to the next level of EAS Participants monitoring them. This should continue through all levels of the system.

According to information distributed to the Office of Emergency Services residents can expect to hear a set of tones or noises that will begin the test. Next will follow a message indicating the Emergency Alert System has been activated as part of a nationwide live test. The entire test message will last approximately three minutes.

RC Faulk, deputy director of emergency services, wants the public to be aware of the scheduled test and not to panic.  Adding, the national Emergency Alert System (EAS) requires all broadcasters, cable television systems, radio, satellite audio radio receivers and broadcast satellite providers make available to the President of the United States their broadcasting assistance during a national emergency. Perhaps we should focus on Project ECHELON during the test of the EBS.  The ability to intercept communications depends on the medium used, be it radio, satellite, microwave, cellular or fiber-optic.

Known as the Personal Localized Alerting Network, or PLAN, the new system will be a free service for people in New York and Washington who have enabled phones and are customers of Verizon, AT&T, Sprint or T-Mobile mobile phone systems.

“This new technology could become a lifeline for millions of Americans and is another tool that will strengthen our nation’s resilience against all hazards,” W. Craig Fugate, the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, said in a statement.

Julius Genachowski, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, said the system was designed to minimize the ability of hackers or spammers to send fraudulent messages. And now on another Elenin – Earth (Distance: 0.246 AU), 2005 YU55 – Earth (Distance: 0.138 AU) close alignment, turkey got hit by two massive earthquakes of 7.3, 6.1 magnitude.
 
While a two week old baby and her mother were rescued and prisoners have set fire to the jail, the aftershocks continue.

Just before 18:00 UTC Monday a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) swept past the Ace Spacecraft and a Sudden Geomagnetic Impulse was detected shortly after. The solar wind reached near 550 km/s at its peak and the Bz was tilting sharply north and then south for long durations. Strong geomagnetic storming reaching close to the G3 Level took place at high latitudes. The storming has since subsided.  The cause of all this activity was a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) seen here which resulted from a disappearing solar filament on Oct 22, 2011. Thousands of dead birds will be collected from an Ontario shoreline on Monday as the province’s Ministry of Natural Resources tries to determine what killed the waterfowl.

As if the lovely people of Japan don’t have enough to to deal with post tsunami, a 5.2 magnitude quake struck Fukushima Prefecture overnight, just after 2 a.m local time Wednesday.  And,  a 6.1 Earthquake hit Hokkaido, Japan Region – Oct 21, 2011.  Iceland hasn’t been left out of the mix either- A 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred 631.93 mi NE of REYKJAVIK, Iceland October 24, 2011.

Is Judgement Day, Doomsday and The Apocalypse upon us in the immediate future?  Your invited to pull out your tin foil conspiracy hat now.

The next two weeks offer a bunch of theories on the coming end of man kind and radical destruction of cities by earthquakes and natural disasters.  If the previous huge earthquakes around the world are any indicator, one might think so. 

In Rome, Italy people are taking the day off with a little bit of panic as rumors that self-taught seismologist Rafael Bendandi, who died in 1979, predicted a devastating earthquake would hit the city on May 11, 2011. Osama Death Photos

Osama bin Laden death photos are popping up all over social media sites like twitter while the Obama administration has yet to release anything official.  At least, not yet.

Graphic images of Osama being shot in the head whether photoshopped or real are expected to be gross.  Like a destructive car wreck, we can’t help but look.   Might as well release an official OBL photographs to the world and put any doubts to rest that he might not be dead.

Do you think the photograph of the man falling from the Twin Tower had a choice in his lasting image?  We imagine that for the families, and really for all Americans it would be cathartic.

The desire to see photos includes not just those still healing from bin Laden’s terror but also bin Laden’s allies. The Taliban released a statement today saying they would not believe bin Laden is dead until they see proof or hear it from sources close to bin Laden.

The White House described the photos of bin Laden after the 40 minute firefight at his Pakistani compound as “gruesome” and could be viewed as inflammatory by some.

“The photos have to be released,” Rep. Joe Heck, R-Nev., on ABC’s “Top Line” today. “Most definitely — to make sure we get rid of any conspiracy theorists that think that we didn’t take care of bin Laden.” http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/desire-osama-bin-laden-death-photo-grows/story?id=13516795

This photograph is almost believable.  Pixellated on the bottom right of a soldiers arm blocking out identifying data, also if you zoom in it looks like there is a large knife under Osama’s arm.  It looks like there is either a star, Star of David or maybe a pentagram at the top circle of the knife.

According to a partner at the American hospital in Dubai, Osama bin Laden was in the American hospital in Dubai in July 2001.  Osama bin Laden Osama’s doctor in the American Hospital in July 2001 was, reportedly, Dr Terry Callaway.  And the CIA station chief who met Osama in hospital in July 2001 was, reportedly, Larry Mitchell.

Maybe it was a fake death then, maybe it is a fake death now.  Could the State Department keep that kind of secret?  Who killed the Kennedy’s?

Osama Conspiracy, The Man Who Won’t Die

Osama bin Laden is dead according to President Obama.  Let the conspiracy theory begin, after all a dead fish doesn’t swim upstream.  It also doesn’t have nine lives.

In a 2007 interview, Benazir Bhutto said in regards to threats and bombings that she had concern over, “Dealings with Omar Sheikh, the man who murdered Osama bin Laden.”  Maybe she meant to say the man who murdered FOR Osama???  Khalid Shaikh Mohammed claimed that he murdered Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal journalist who was abducted and killed in 2002 and is an admitted 9/11 plotter.  Khalid Shaikh Mohammed currently resides in Guantanamo.  Other reports have Osama dead in 2001 from kidney disease, while rumors abound that the U.S. killed him in a bombing raid in Tora Borra during the Bush years.  Now, it must be true-

On Sunday, May 1, 2011, President Obama said, “Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, and a terrorist who’s responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children…”

We find it absolutely inconceivable that Obama would make such an announcement without providing hard evidence, not just word of mouth.  Of course, we find it hard to believe that Obama spent millions of tax payer money to defend his certificate of live birth (COLB) as proof of being a natural born citizen- only to release what may, or may not be his actual birth certificate years later. Why can’t this administration provide actual proof- beyond a reasonable doubt? 

ABC says the Navy had a 99% DNA match to his deceased sister. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/pakistan/8488004/Osama-Bin-Ladens-body-identified-by-sisters-brain.html  That’s ironic considering he only had half sisters according to the fairly accurate Wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osama_bin_Laden#cite_note-newyorker.com-13 Whose DNA do they have?  Is it really his?  How the heck did they match it so fast in the field?  Is is possible that the DNA could be another sibling or relative?  An unnamed official said Bin Laden’s body was taken to the U.S.S. Carl Vinson where it was wrapped, and a prayer was said before his remains were “sent into the deep.”

Isn’t there some chance that a body will wash up on shore?  What countries refused to take his body?  What was the Pakistani military doing while the U.S. violated their airspace?  Were all the traffic control tower agents asleep?

In acting covertly, there were no foreigners to witness or dispute Osama’s death.  We’ve seen horrific photos of war and war crimes and yet no one in that entire million dollar compound had a smart phone to photograph what was happening?  Guess not. Surely if the events were being watched live by Obama and staff, it was recorded.  All electronic communication is, and becomes a record for the history books.

Sunday marked a long night for Sohaib Atha, an “an IT consultant taking a break from the rat-race by hiding in the mountains with his laptops.” Because that IT consultant just happened to be hiding in Abottabad, Pakistan.

And he just happened to be on Twitter (@reallyvirtual), tweeting away at seeming random events in his adopted hometown at the same time that the U.S. military was engaging in what was a decade-in-the-making operation.

Today he will become known as the guy who, while live-tweeting a series of helicopter flypasts and explosions, unwittingly covered the U.S. forces’ helicopter raid on Osama Bin Laden’s compound. He’s already done an interview with two Reuters reporters, the only ones who showed up at his door to talk to him in person.

Atha, 33, made note of his footnote in history on his blog. A nice timeline of Sohaib Athar’s tweets are also here. He wasn’t the only person who happened to be live-tweeting the news, @m0hcin was there too.

Radiation Free Certificate, Screenings, Decontamination

Radiation screenings have been conducted at the entrance of shelters in Fukushima Prefecture since March 13, two days after the devastating quake and tsunami crippled the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. They are intended to check if a resident has been exposed to radiation. “Certificates” are then issued by the doctors to those who have been declared free of any abnormality.

But these certificates have come to be an unexpected function in the community that has become nervous about anything radioactive. Some shelters have started demanding that certificates be presented before any residents evacuating from the nuclear disaster are admitted.  Some officials in the central government, however, are raising their eyebrows about such documentation while demand for them appears to be growing.

In a likely cover-up attempt to dispel panic-

One main player is the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. Fukushima whatever level of nuclear crisis level you call it, is a global catastrophe that is poisoning the world.  We can not eat contaminated food.  We can not drink contaminated water. In America we are being by the experts that the threat of radiation from Japan is minimal.  Of course, the experts say the remaining 440 or so nuclear plants are safe too.  Really, what are the chances of another earthquake, let alone a tsunami taking out a nuclear plant or adding to the disaster in Japan?
