World AIDS Day is today December 1, 2oo9. It is also the day that the World Health Organization, WHO approved Glaxo’s version of the H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine that can give a false positive reading for HIV.

12/1/09 LONDON — Drug giant GlaxoSmithKline says one of its swine flu vaccines has been certified by the World Health Organization, making it available for donors to buy for developing countries. Free HIV testing centres around Nairobi reported impressive turn-outs as Kenyans took time to check their status. With numerous AIDS cases there, if they are also the recipients of Glaxo’s vaccine we may be seeing a huge increase in patients testing false positive. And what of the rest of the world?

In clinical studies of efficacy they tested the vaccine in ferrets where all of the ferrets died and exhibited viral shedding.

Following influenza vaccination, false-positive serology test results may be obtained by the method for antibody to human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1), hepatitis C virus and, especially HTLV-1. In such cases, the Western blot method is negative. These transitory false-positive results may be due to IgM production in response to the vaccine.

Risk history, and clinical judgement should be included in the assessment, and a confirmation test (Western blot) should be administered. An individual with an inconclusive test should be re-tested at a later date.

Multiple false reactions in viral antibody screening assays after influenza vaccination.

In December 1991, US blood centers reported an unusual increase in donations that tested falsely reactive for antibodies to two or more (multiple false positive) of the following viruses: human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), human T-cell lymphotrophic virus type I (HTLV-I), and hepatitis C virus. Many of these donations were from people who had recently received the 1991-1992 influenza vaccine, raising the possibility that this vaccine had somehow specifically caused the problem of multiple false reactivity. A case-control study of 101 affected donors and 191 matched controls found that recent receipt of any brand of influenza vaccine was significantly associated with testing multiple false positive (p < 0.05), as was a history of recent acute illness (p < 0.05) and of allergies (p < 0.05). Surveillance for monthly rates of multiple reactive donations from May 1990 through December 1992 linked the seasonal cluster of multiple false-positive donations to the use of viral screening test kits thought to react nonspecifically to donor immunoglobulin M. There was no similar increase in multiple false-positive donations during the 1992-1993 influenza vaccination season after the HIV-1 and hepatitis C virus tests were replaced; however, the number of donations that were falsely reactive for only HTLV-I almost doubled, indicating that false reactivity was not specifically associated with the 1991-1992 influenza vaccine. Retesting of affected donors found that the duration of HTLV-I and hepatitis C virus false reactivity was 3-6 months. The cluster of multiple false-positive donations in 1991 was most likely caused by the test kits used, rather than by the influenza vaccine. EU Approves Single Dose Pandemrix H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine

BRUSSELS — The European Union’s executive commission says it has approved single doses of two swine flu vaccines that could speed up winter vaccinations.

With a rush to produce millions of H1N1 vaccines by Pharmaceutical Companies, comes the news of the first recall of the vaccine. Will it be the last?

Most of the vaccine Manitoba received from the suspect lot had already been used by the time the province received the alert. Of the 63,000 doses shipped, only 630 remained unused by the four regional health authorities in Manitoba that received them…Pandemrix contains parts of influenza (flu) viruses that have been inactivated (killed). Pandemrix contains a flu strain called A/California/7/2009 (H1N1) v-like strain (X-179A). Pandemrix contains small amounts of haemagglutinins (proteins from the surface) of a virus called A(H1N1)v that is causing the current pandemic. Back up to the flu episode of 1976.

About 200 soldiers in basic training at Fort Dix in New Jersey fell ill and at least four soldiers had pneumonia, and one died and the virus was identified as an H1N1 swine flu virus, “thought to be a direct descendant of the virus that caused the pandemic of 1918,” . “This conclusion was based on antibodies to H1N1 antigens found in survivors of the 1918 pandemic and the belief that the 1918 virus was eventually transmitted to pigs in the Midwest, where it persisted and caused sporadic human cases.”

Not only did the pandemic fail to appear, but the vaccine apparently harmed some people. Health officials suspended the vaccination campaign on Dec 16, 1976, after receiving numerous reports of Guillian-Barre syndrome (GBS), a paralyzing neurologic illness, after vaccination, according to an August 1979 report in the American Journal of Epidemiology. Nationwide surveillance detected 1,098 patients with GBS onset from October 1976 through January 1977. Japanese health ministry officials will fly to Canada by early December, to study the Canadian authorities decision to hold off on using a batch of its swine flu vaccine Pandemrix, reports said quoting a Japanese newspaper said. Japanese health ministry’s decision comes in the wake of its plan to import GlaxoSmithKline’s flu vaccine Pandemrix to cover 37 million people in the year ending March. After 30 years of research, HIV-1 has no vaccine. Barely 4 months into the A/H1N1 pandemic we are about to have a vaccine available.

A nine-year study of chimps in their natural habitat found that the monkey version of HIV; the simian immunodeficiency virus or SIV- was thought to not sicken and kill chimps in the wild, but new research published in this week’s Nature shows otherwise.

Chimps and humans probably caught these viruses in the same way — by eating infected monkeys, says another study author, Beatrice Hahn of the University of Alabama. Nine years is a long time to study these chimps to discover that, “”The last thing these chimps need is another source of mortality.”

AIDS like Swine Flu is a pandemic. In 2007, it was estimated that 33.2 million people lived with the disease worldwide, and that AIDS had killed an estimated 2.1 million people, including 330,000 children. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDS By comparison, the CDC reported as of Friday that there have been 43,771 confirmed cases of H1N1 infection and 302 deaths in the United States alone.

AIDS can not be spread by casual contact like the Swine Flu. The pork industry continues to assure us eating pork is fine although numerous countries have culled pigs. Eating monkeys is bad for chimps and humans.

For years researchers have sought a vaccine to prevent everything from AIDS to the common cold, all to no avail. Yet we are expected to believe than in barely 6 months time, scientists are working around the clock for the right mixture of viruses to begin mass inoculations to prevent Swine Flu?

The “U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced it has issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for a another diagnostic test for the 2009 H1N1 influenza virus.”

The Focus Diagnostics test is an unapproved device whose use is authorized by the EUA. Swine Flu Vaccines for all intents and purpose will fall into the same category of emergency use with no liability issues to the manufacturer of the vaccine or the governments that might order a mass vaccination campaign.

The world is accelerating support for mass inoculations with various pharmaceutical companies manufacturing and testing a vaccine already in human trials. The impact for viral shedding is unknown and even the WHO heads are warning of the of danger. Thousands of Americans are currently being recruited for swine flu vaccine testing at several research centers across the country.

“Many European governments say that they will fast-track the testing of a new swine flu vaccine in an attempt to vaccinate people before winter, although some experts say they are concerned about risking safety and giving proper vaccine doses. The European Medicines Agency is accelerating the approval process for the swine flu vaccine. Kind of like being a human guinea pig- the article says, “Although it is unlikely that the vaccine will endanger anyone, experts say that cannot be determined until it is used in large numbers of people….The WHO said that the swine flu viruses are not producing enough key vaccine ingredients, which might limit how much vaccine is available.

Its laboratory network is now working to produce a new set of viruses that it hopes will work better.”

Just what the world needs, a new set of viruses. Conspiracy theorists would argue the OPV AIDS connection that AIDS was accidentally or intentionally started in the 1950’s in the Congo by Hilary Koprowski researching the polio vaccine. The CDC is apparently more concerned with running a contest for a new public service ad ad than running the numbers on swine flu, having decided that it will no longer track the number of cases. The World Health Organization is not keeping tabs either.

Dr. Anne Schuchat said the CDC would no longer report cases and was working on better ways to estimate how many people had been infected. Death associated with laboratory-confirmed influenza virus infection among children (defined as persons aged <18 years) is a nationally reportable condition according to the CDC- except, apparently now that H1N1 is threatening- the rules all get conveniently changed.

The VAERS site makes note that researchers have turned more recently to large-linked databases (LLDB) to study vaccine safety. LLDB provide scientists with access to the complete medical records of millions of individuals receiving vaccines (all identifying information is deleted to protect the confidentiality of the patient). The report , Prevention and Control of Seasonal Influenza with Vaccines, Recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), 2009 states,” available data indicate that both children and adults vaccinated with LAIV can shed vaccine viruses after vaccination, although in lower amounts than occur typically with shedding of wild-type influenza viruses. Like the chicken pox sheds?

The ACIP report also says, Trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (TIV) can be used for any person aged ≥6 months, including those with high-risk conditions. Live, attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) may be used for healthy, nonpregnant persons aged 2–49 years. TIV formulations in multidose vials contain the vaccine preservative thimerosal- the ingredient possibly linked to the increase in autism rates.

The National Biodefense Safety Board (NBSB), which answers to Health and Human Service Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, recommended fast-tracking the new swine flu vaccines to be ready in time for the start of school. Already, the DHHS and the US Government are pledging $8.5 billion for swine flu innoculations that are unproven and are creating a public health campaign to ease America’s fear, just like they did when they vaccinated some 40 million people needlessly in the original Swine Flu scare.

Take the doctor’s office approach. Think about it, when you go for a shot, what do they do first? Clean your arm with alcohol.. Why? Because alcohol kills germs. So…… I put on my mask, walk to the liquor store (exercise), I put lime in my Corona (fruit), celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies), drink on the bar patio (fresh air), get drunk, tell jokes, and laugh (eliminate stress) and then pass out (rest). Remember when states voted to keep the drinking age at 18, but if they didn’t change the law to 21 they would loose federal funding? Maybe if you don’t get vaccinated your insurance company is going to drop you or your state is going to isolate you in a nice little camp located somewhere in the midst of the fedeal land management grab act.

The CDC also reported as of Friday that there have been 43,771 confirmed cases of H1N1 infection and 302 deaths in the United States, although officials believe more than 1 million Americans have been stricken with swine flu. That would be one million less people to vaccinate, eh? I guess if you don’t keep track of the data of reported cases and deaths there will be no records to which our government or anyone else can be held accountable.
