Iceland’s Volcanic Ash Dust Cloud Heading to North America, is Martial Law Coming With it?
The volcanic ash cloud forecast from eruptions from the Eyjafjallajokull glacier looks to have the ash cloud heading toward the eastern part of Canada and perhaps the eastern coast of the U.S.A. depending on weather patterns. “Another setback came on Monday evening for millions of stranded passengers as Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano sent a fresh cloud of ash 15,000 feet into the air. Amid travel concerns, some flights resumed on Tuesday.” http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/30555/amid-worsening-ash-cloud-situa.asp
If the volcano’ s dust reaches the U.S. can you imagine the chaos of closed airspace?
The Royal Navy was dispatched in the U.K to help stranded passengers, even as Fox is reporting that the Brits are re-opening some airspace. You can follow some of the planes in real time here http://www.radarvirtuel.com/. This seems a pretty stupid idea to give terrorists just one more tool to track airspace, none-the-less there it is- and here’s just one example of one flight that made it safely with all data for the world to see-

Really does, anyone outside of air traffic need to know the exact location of a plane? Hell, why not publish the passenger manifest list while you are at it? Jerks. Taking it one farther is http://www.libhomeradar.org/ where not only can you track, but see photos and get specs on planes.
easy collect aircraft information
libhomeradar is a library written in plain C which makes the communication with the Kinetic Avionic SBS-1 box and the AirNav Systems RadarBox very easy.
In the U.S.A. we have http://flightaware.com/live/ currently-
Tracking 3,451 airborne aircraft with 107,533,877 total flights in the database.
FlightAware has tracked 45,374 arrivals in the last 24 hours.
You can also text to: “GOOGLE” then, type in the call sign of the aircraft you are looking for. “UAL472” for example or track all active flights on Google Earth at http://fboweb.com/antest/ge/geALLFLIGHTS.kmz.
Whoa. That’s just wrong for air traffic safety. Has Obama nominated anyone to head up the Federal Aviation Administration yet? http://www.faa.gov/ It looks like lobbyist J. Randolph Babbitt is up for the job. http://www.capecodtoday.com/blogs/index.php/2009/04/18/alliance-lobbyist-named-to-head-the-faa?blog=109
Implications of closing U.S. airspace would go far up to food chain and well into Homeland Security. Would President Obama dispatch all those military personnel already on active duty on U.S. Soil, which is already a clear violation of the Constitution? Recall, the DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce Defense Directive 1404.10 (read PDF ) promises exactly what President Obama said, “”We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/06/25/martial-law-under-public-health-emergency/
On April 13, 2010 The Conservative Examiner wrote:
In October of this year, one month prior to the November midterm elections, a special army unit known as ‘Consequence Management Response Force’ will be ready for deployment on American soil if so ordered by the President.
The special force, which is the new name being given to the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry, has been training at Fort Stewart, Georgia and is composed of 80,000 troops.
According to the Army Times,
They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack. The key phrase is ‘may be called upon to help with civil unrest.’ http://www.examiner.com/x-37620-Conservative-Examiner~y2010m4d13-Special-army-unit-ready-to-be-deployed-on-American-soil-just-before-Nov-elections
You can follow the 3rd brigade on twitter or facebook from http://www.stewart.army.mil/units/1BCT/home.asp
Besides the ‘Consequence Management Response Force’ capability, putting on a legitimate face to XE, Blackwater, or The American Police Force does not preclude them from being a militia capable of effectively supporting state and federal emergency response units. Federal response units—can you say FEMA? More on the American police here https://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2009/10/02/american-police-force-national-force-aim/.
Americans, by and large are civil peaceful beings- but being told that airspace is being restricted or closed due to an invisible ash cloud, well that might just put the loonies over the edge.
Would governors declare states of emergency calling out the national guard? Ah, but the The John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007 later repealed by the Insurrection Act gives the President the ability to declare a public emergency and station the military anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities. You may recall no one has rescinded the state of emergency from the false H1N1 pandemic.
When it snowed in D.C., the government for all intents and purposes shut down- would it again if the ash cloud is so prominent that it inhibits air travel and is caustic to breath? As if we don’t already have enough fluoride and silica in our diets. And, too much salt as so the nanny government, besides owning banks and car manufacturers is going to work with the food industry to gradually reduce sodium in everything from soup to nuts http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2010/04/20/US-planning-to-reduce-salt-in-food/UPI-37521271766209/ That’s what I call nutty!
At least Europe has some alternative transportation options by ferry or train, not so much in the States. “Washington – including the president – is stalling on critical legislation that maps the way for getting people and goods from here to there: the transportation bill. The bill sets policy on roads, bridges, mass transit, and freight movement for six years. It was supposed to be reauthorized last year, but the White House discouraged that because it wanted to focus on health-care legislation.http://www.csmonitor.com/Commentary/the-monitors-view/2010/0419/Iceland-volcano-ash-cloud-At-least-Europe-has-a-backup-in-trains-ferries-buses
The BBC reports that there is ‘zero tolerance’ on ash. ” ‘No tolerance’ rule for volcanic ash” http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8629609.stm Is there a tolerance level in Canada or the U.S.? At least Iceland and Europe can rely on, ” The Nuclear Accident Model (NAME) was originally developed after the nuclear accident in 1986 at Chernobyl, which highlighted the need for a capability to predict the spread and deposition of radioactive material released into the atmosphere. The model has continued to be developed and is now applied to a wide range of atmospheric pollution problems, ranging from emergency responses to daily air-quality forecasts. http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/04/19/ash-cloud-models-overrated-a-word-on-post-normal-science-by-dr-jerome-ravetz/
After the Haiti quake, the U.S.S. Comfort arrived, along with 10,000 U.S. Military personnel to offer a a peaceful restoration. But, “As the U.S. military’s mission in Haiti draws to a close, about 1 million Haitians remain homeless, said the former top U.S. military commander in Haiti…The roughly 2,200 troops now in Haiti are expected to leave in June” http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=69459
What’s the big rush to get our troops out of Haiti so fast?
And, “The top military official in Iraq said the president plan for troop withdrawal is proceeding as scheduled. The Associated Press reports that Gen. Ray Odierno confirms that 45,000 soldiers will have left Iraq by the end of August unless a dramatic security concern arises in the area.” http://www.s2smagazine.com/node/2792
There are 1,084,548 troops on active duty in the United States and its territories according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deployments_of_the_United_States_Military Ironically we have no troops in Iceland as The Keflavik Naval Air Station was closed. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/16/AR2006031601846.html
“It is just skirting into the Newfoundland area over the next 12 to 18 hours,” Syvret told Reuters. “It doesn’t look as if it is going to get much further west than that, just on the coast and a little further inland.” Newfoundland, on Canada’s Atlantic seaboard, is the closest part of North America to Iceland’s erupting Eyjafjallajokull volcano.http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE63I5OR20100419?loomia_ow=t0:s0:a49:g43:r1:c0.248206:b33070260:z0
It is unlikely that America will be thrown into chaos over this ash cloud. What catastrophe befalls us next is any one’s guess. Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Nuclear Attack, Anthrax, Biological Weapons, an invasion by foreign troops or aliens?
With a million troops awaiting action, in the meantime the least they could do is patrol the borders.
You can still watch the eruption through the clouds on both the Vodafon and Mila.is webcams. Vodaphon updates every 6 seconds. Also photos in ten minute increments at http://picasaweb.google.com/102175391233488315229.
