SOHO Coverup by NASA? Emergency Sun Reacquisition.

Is NASA covering up a gigantic UFO sighting on the SOHO cameras?

At least one sharp-eyed observer thinks so and it’s not the first time. SOHO’s live image stream was recently shut down right after viewers spotted a large anomaly in front of the sun. NASA says it was due to a “false trigger of the Coarse Sun Pointing Attitude Anomaly Detector” which could be a fancy way of saying “dust on the lens”. via http://www.anomalist.com/

We have no idea, (well we do have some ideas) as to what the heck the horizontal line is in front of the sun.  We highly doubt it is dust. The image is only showing up of the SOHO LASCO C3 Latest Image. It’s fair to rule out a bird, a plane and Superman.

NOTE: LACK OF DATA UPDATES. SOHO went into “Emergency Sun Reacquisition” mode on Friday May 4, 2012, caused by a false trigger of the Coarse Sun Pointing Attitude Anomaly Dector. This isn’t the first time NASA has lost SOHO- or SOHO has lost Earth.

At 23:16 GMT on 24 June 1998, after completing its nominal two-year
mission in April 1998, ground controllers lost contact with the SOHO
spacecraft during routine maintenance operations, and the satellite
went into Emergency Sun Reacquisition (ESR) mode. The ESR mode is
activated when an anomaly occurs and the spacecraft loses its
orientation towards the Sun. When this happens, the spacecraft
automatically tries to point itself towards the Sun again by firing its
attitude control thrusters under the guidance of an onboard Sun
sensor.  Efforts to re-establish nominal operations did not succeed and

The findings claimed,

TWO INCOMING CMEs: A pair of solar eruptions on May 7th hurled coronal mass ejections (CMEs) toward Earth. Forecast tracks prepared by analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab suggests that clouds with arrive in succession on May 9th at 13:40 UT and May 10th at 07:54 UT (+/- 7 hours). The double impact could spark moderate geomagnetic storms. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras.

Sunspot AR1476. May 7, 2012.
