In honor of protesters at the G20 Summit and Barackstar Obama’s international tour, Absolut Vodka has brought back their global riot ads.  Obama is desperate to ask other large nations to copy America’s billion dollar stimulus plans, but already there is dissidence and it isn’t over whether Absolut or Stoli is the better brand.

The leaders of Germany and France nations expressed support for regulation, instead of further bailout efforts.  Angela Merkel, the German chancellor, last night led the assault on the British prime minister’s “global new deal” for a $2 trillion-plus fiscal stimulus to end the recession. “I will not let anyone tell me that we must spend more money,”  reported the Telegraph. from http://www.gold-speculator.com/appenzell-daily-bell/6001-germans-wreck-new-deal-thousands-protest-before-g20.html 

Pillow throwing isn’t going to solve anything; niether will riots, but the commercial brings into the light the disdain occurring across the world over the financial disaster.

I don’t think Turkey allows the importation of Absolut, which is absolutely a bummer.  The queen of the liquor kingdom is Russian Vodka http://www.russianvodka.com/russian_vodkas.htm and Obama representing America as the King, will hopefully not insult anyone in his meetings by bringing an ipod, a dvd’ or a bottle of booze as gifts.

Absolut Vodka is a Swedish brand of vodka, produced near Åhus, Scania, in southern Sweden. In March 2008, the Swedish government, owner of Absolut through its V&S Group, sold Absolut to the French firm Pernod Ricard.

Building on a four century tradition of producing vodka at Åhus, Absolut was introduced in 1879 by the entrepreneur Lars Olsson Smith. Absolut is the third largest brand of alcoholic spirits in the world after Bacardi and Smirnoff, marketed in 126 countries.
